I think the loss of Stu has a lot to do with that. L Brandenburg (sp?) may not know enough of the playbook for Coz to be able to send a LB and feel confident that the other 2 LBs can cover.

This is why I think we have not done as well as we should be doing. Look at how many injured players we have and no depth to step in. The teams that are beating us have that depth. After BC has wrapped up a few recuting years we will have the depth we need. Another thing..... Is there something wrong with letting Rigoni(sp?) give LB a try????? He is an ANIMAL!!!!!!

I think the difference is last year our QB gave the games away that we should have won and this year our QB is still learning the O but is smart enough to not turn the ball over as much and punt. 2004 2 games 7 ints record 1-1 2005 2 games 3 ints record 2-0

I think it will still take a little while for that to happen. NU is still a little raw in a lot of ways. Notice that last year AP of OU was a Heisman runner-up and this year he didn't even get 100 yds against TCU. OU's line got Adrian into the backfield so much that he looked awesome. The truth comes out now that the line is not as good. We need more experience for our team. After that, Cory and Co. will get to show their goods. Wins will build confidence. I hope we just keep getting better. Patience Huskers if BC builds it (the team), they (national championships) will come.

I guess nobody noticed that the first time we had the ball on the 1 yard line, Coach sent Pork Chop on the first play in for the TD. Against the meat of the Big 12 schedule, we are not going to be able just line it up and pound it in (as much as we would like or think). We have to try some different things in the red zone to keep the opponents guessing. I think Coach C is a great coach and I wish him and the Huskers the best the rest of the year. Go Big Red

Does anyone out there think that maybe BC looked at this game as a glorified practice? With the depth we have, we should be able to wear them out. I think BC took this game as a chance to work on things the team was struggling with at game speed in a game environment. That would explain the one long pass in this game compared to all the ones in the spring game. Just looking for opinions on this. What do you all think?????

I just looked at the stats for 2004 and 2003 and J. Lord had a higher QB passing rating than J. Dailey Not only that...... on Huskers.com, Dailey is not on the rosters for the last 2 years. Strange huh!!!! Sorry guys, just bored and trying to get to the first game. Go Big Red

Where are the so called "preseason games"? I am talking about the "Kickoff Classic", "Pigskin Classic" and whatever others. Are they being played Thursday the 1st or are they on this weekend and I can't find the games on the TV schedule? HELP
