  1. I have the tickets in hand, and two are still available, ready to be shipped....
  2. I'd rather have the N that is in GMoose's sig...
  3. I'm 1,497 miles away... Sr. is 1,495 miles away...
  4. I'm still waiting for them... They sure snatch up your money quickly, but take their sweet time sending the goods...
  5. They're already spoken-for by the the previous two posters, unless you can convince them otherwise.
  6. That is awesome man, thank you so much!
  7. The title of it is "Cody Green to lead the Huskers..." I don't have a membership, but I'm guessing its no more information than we know already...
  8. It does look pretty good... I bet one that incorporates some sort of vintage appeareance with old Herbie, Suh, and Scott Frost would be pretty sweet too
  9. I think our magicians retired
  10. Could someone make me a vintage looking Husker sig with the "old Herbie" of the 90's, with Scott Frost and Mr. Suh incorporated somehow? Thank you!
  11. I don't think so, I believe that section is in the Northeast Stadium... I'm not too seasoned in the ways of Memorial Stadium, but I don't think there are any obstructions in that corner.
  12. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I won't be able to attend the Spring Game. With that said, I have four tickets available for face value ($10/each), if anyone is interested. I have not received them from the ticket office yet, but I will pay for shipping when I receive them. They are in the North Stadium, Section 39, Row 31, seats 15-18.
  13. From my experiences, as long as you stayed away from full metal jacket rounds and stuck with hollow points or soft tips, you won't get much extra travel unless your walls are really thin. Most of the time, our hollow points won't go through more than one object. You could always go with the tried and true method of home defense: A 2x4 with a nail in the end. But seriously, you'd be ok with a shotgun with small buckshot or birdshot... Plus its cool to see what that stuff will do to a dirtbag at 15 feet
  14. I never thought I liked purple, but apparently I do. Go Frogs!
  15. "Warning, about to post own opinion. This post does not reflect the opinion of the other posters of this board, and should be treated as such." I'd finish him off. It's only murder if you chase him down the street and shoot him after he tried to leave.... As long as you feared for your life/safety, then you're good to go. He's in your house, had no permission, and so on... Not the other way around. Just practice the "failure drill" - 2 to the body, one to the head. That way you don't have to worry about it looking like an execution (you shot him twice, disabling the threat, then shot him as he lied on the floor dying LOL) because you shot your three rounds as he came at you. Does that help?
  16. I was just going to ask that... but it looks like she's a KSUcks fan...
  17. really? have you ever shot a glock before, ever? i don't think so. i have extensively shot my 23 and there is little to no recoil compared to a .45. I have never had one jam and they are pretty much idiot proof. and how is the USP .45 the AK-47 of handguns? i could buy 5 AK's for the price of one USP. Not to mention the USP is probably more accurate than the AK (half joking). Do you even read what you write before posting? posts like that, which make no sense at all, really detract from any positive opinions that you might have. You might like the USP, but any weight which I'd give to your opinion went out the window when i read the rest of your post I own a Glock and it's a P.O.S. I happen to be relatively proficient with handguns. I've put over 15,000 rounds through my USP without a single jam or failure. My Sig P220 Elite is probably the best handgun I've ever shot, and is the closest thing to a 1911 my department will allow me to carry. The Springfield 1911 TRP Operator is the only step up from it, in my opinion. As far as Glocks go, I don't know how many shootings you've heard of or been in, but I've seen them fail people in my department more than any other. I am one of the range masters in my department and I've seen, firsthand, the Glock fail, jam, stovepipe, and even saw one blow up in a guy's face. You can keep your Glock, and good luck with it... Hey, at least you can throw it in the dishwasher with the rest of your Tupperware... Glocks are good only because they are cheap, hence being the most widely owned handgun in the USA... If you want cheap quality, buy a Springfield XD... If you had half a brain, or were knowledgeable with firearms, you would've understood my joke about the HK... The HK is probably the most reliable handgun I've ever seen. It can withstand the elements, dirt, whatever, and still shoot. Try "Wikipedia" or wherever you learned about guns, and you'll probably figure it out... As far as recoil goes, I was referring to the Glock .45 .... A lightweight gun + big round = Recoil. If I could simplify that for you and make a demonstration out of crayons and play-dough I would... Off-topic... If you're going to talk sh#t to someone in a post, can you at least have enough respect for yourself to proof-read your posts? I feel like I just got lectured by a 12 year old on MySpace. First off, I never attacked you personally, just your post. Insinuating that that I am 12yo doesn't do anything to add to this duscussion. Second, if you really want to talk gun knowledge and being in firefights, I suggest YOU wiki the 75th Ranger Regiment, which is my Army unit. I would be willing to bet that I have been in more firefights, shot more people, shot more bullets, and been in combat/violent situations than you EVER will be as an LEO (which it sounds like you are). I don't think anyone should question my weapons knowledge or where I got it. If you have an opinion about a weapon that's all cool, but you should make your case in your post. Your first post was somewhat lacking in the details that you provided in your second post, which would have made the first post make more sense. Also, as far as the Glock's on your range that misfired, jammed, blew up, etc, what condition were the weapons in? Did they clean them? Did they know what they were doing? Were they using incorrect ammunition? And no where did I say that the USP was an inferior weapon to the Glock. I simply stated what I felt were it's strengths. The USP is a great weapon. However, for the price and ease of using (i hate most safety's on sidearm's) I love the Glock and have never had a problem with it. As far as your joke goes, i believe myself and carlfense were attempting to figure it out a few posts above this quoted post of yours. As far as your comment about Glock's and recoil, I don't see why you would refer to a .45ACP Glock when I was discussing the merits of the .40S&W Glock, which is why I thought your post about recoil was crazy talk. Hell yes, .45 Glock's have a lot of recoil, I wouldn't dispute that, ever. Perhaps you should have made your initial post a little more clear. \ And finally, if I want to sh#t talk someone, it won't be on a Husker board. I see no reason to get all butthurt over this. If you are still feeling poopy about this, then all you have to do is wait until fall when I get back from my deployment and I'll be back in Omaha for two weeks and we can figure it out. -Sincerely, Internet Tough guy Don't waste your time. I can already tell you're one of those "Ive been there and you haven't, man!" types. I'm not trying to ding you for your service, but most of us on here have donated portions of our lives to the military as well. I know what I'm doing, as you probably do, but you're basically calling me a moron for posting what I did... Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have no idea what cops go through. I can't speak for the midwest, but here in So Cal, you might as well be in Iraq. The difference is, you can articulate shooting anyone over there or blowing anything up, and you have no liability. Here, people lay IED's, use high powered rifles to snipe us, and just about anything else you can think of, but we have to worry about the liability of it. The other difference is we don't have the hardware and armor you guys do. My back up is 1 hour away, while yours is walking next to you. I can't tell you how many times I've come under sniper fire here, but I can't just lay down suppressing fire because the d******d could be near kids or something else someone will throw me in prison for... and I have no gunship or arty to call to take care of it for me.... I can go on and on, but I'm willing to bet we're equal in experiences. Thank you for your service, and be safe.
  18. Yeah, that's what I get for posting my opinion. Some a-hole jumps all over me, when nothing was remotely rude or directed toward him in any way... God bless internet tough guys...

  20. If you want target practice, 9mm... If you want economy wit a little more punch, go .40 S&W If you want the stopping power, carry a .45 Auto... Think about it, what's so great about 9mm and .40? More ammo? How many bullets do you need? Are you planning on getting into a major gunfight? .40's aren't close in stopping power, I've seen that first hand. Also think of what kind of shooter you are... Those plastic Glocks and the like are very lightweight and unreliable, and can be a little harder to shoot due to the excessive recoil. If you have the money, invest in a 1911 .45, or the Sig P220 Elite... both can be a bit pricey, but I carry the Sig and swear by it. I also have an HK USP .45, which is quite possibly the AK 47 of handguns... extremely reliable, with a relatively high magazine capacity for a .45 Auto.
  21. :facepalm:Yeah, Southern California during the winter for the quintessential bowl game sucks....
