  1. I didn't know Muk was rated that highly by the Pros...that's great to see. Dennard, Gomes and Hagg can't be far behind.
  2. Now that we beat Oklahoma, that "get a dress thread" should be displayed prominently on the top of the board. Yeah, I know a lot of people are being conciliatory and going aw shucks, but this week on the Husker boards ( not just this one) has been the most embarrassing display I can ever remember in Husker history and some of you are still at it. If you're 13 then it's understandable....anyone older than that should know we ALWAYS have a chance. We have one of the best defenses in the country for crying out loud. That alone should mean something.
  3. That's true that noone has,but that doesn't mean they can't. We haven't used the kind of plays that put pressure on the defense and makes them defend the whole field...like roll outs with a running QB...play action passes to the TE...we've only used the quick pitch a couple times that lets our blockers get numbers and allows the RB to pick a hole without fighting traffic from 7 yards behind the line. The read option has hardly been put to use with Lee running it....I thought he'd be a better runner than he turned out to be. Are we capable of hitting a five yard slant and running like hell? We have half a dozen receivers who should excell at that. Paul and Gillylen especially. There are a lot of things that we haven't tried that would stretch the defense much more than we have.
  4. I'm 12 and I like to make really bizarre comments on message boards. I think all the backups should transfer because...really...what's the point of hanging around? Since you're 12, it's clear you don't understand these things yet. Come back when you've gained the knowledge and experience to understand that only certain people accept being second fiddle. Sounds like you have a firm grasp...LOL.
  5. Whatever time he gets is up to TO...I'd give him at least 3 or 4 years based on what he's done so far and the sorry prospect of starting over with someone new, but he needs to show something THIS YEAR. We have plenty of talented players to bust a move right now. I'm really tired of hearing these excuses. Other coaches have had just as many problems and overcome them...there's no reason Sadler can't.
  6. Okay, I've read all the posts since my post further up the thread. Doesn't anyone want to answer my question? Before you start on the "we don't have the personnel" excuse, explain Bill Snyder's success with KSU this year. Is there something we can learn from him? For you pups out there that were filling your diapers when he was coaching, Snyder's that old dinosaur dude that represents an era of football that "no longer works nowadays." What is Snyder doing with Peru State-caliber athletes that is generating success in the Big 12? Riddle me that, Batman. We got the zone read running style from Snyder. He was running that a long time ago. Thanks for nothing Bill. Evidently you haven't seen ALL the Snyder teams and are just going on a few games. You'd be a lot more convincing if they had beat Oklahoma...what was that score?

  8. I think Cody starts and if it appears he's the reason nothing is getting done, bring in Zac and see what he can do. I think they both understand the pressure of the position and are working together for whatever is best for the team. One play could make the other the QB...I'm sure they're aware of that and prepare accordingly. I don't sense any of the hatred and vitriol from them that you get from the message board maniacs and near geniuses. I'm glad they're both around and Bo can choose between them.
  9. The guys on TV said Baylor probably should have won the game... Those guys on TV are idiots.
  10. Green did a good job for his first start. He was under control and played a smart game for the most part. I think he'll get a lot better with experience. Watson had a brain hemmorage that caused him to call that pass to the sideline that has about a 50% chance of getting picked, 60% chance of getting your receiver blasted, and 99% chance of getting 2 yards if completed. Sometimes I wonder... I think the injury problem is a lot worse than they're letting on...we're down to 4th and 5th string RB's. The linemen who consistently jump or hold on crucial plays need to be benched...it always seems to be the same guys. I think we might also have a problem playing so many new guys because it limits the number of plays you can expect to succesfully run. We didn't score in the 2nd half, but we didn't give the game away either. Except for the defensive line that played pretty good, the defense was not great today. We could've had 4 picks if the d-backs had been paying attention....not their best day by far.
  11. I hear ya. I think Zac will be okay as he gets used to dealing with the pressure and his accuracy will be where it's at in the easy games. The receivers, on the other hand, have to find open field. It's bad enough that they don't catch balls that hit them in the hands...they need to beat the defender and win the fight on jump balls. We haven't really seen anything extraordinary from them yet. Chris Brooks has been a good surprise though.
  12. I agree. I don't think the people who vote in the polls watch the games. Nebraska was the better team but they just look at the score. I don't mind being rated lower because we did lose, but 18 places lower?
