  1. well they're both from Williston, ND. so they are obviously related.. jw if anyone knew if its his brother or cousin or what. definitely makes their matchup with New Mexico a little more interesting to watch for me at least
  2. noticed Brian Qvale is a 6-11 Center on Montana averaging 10 pts per game. must be his older brother?
  3. Yea my cousin just took it, she's in 7th, just got a 23..... And if what someone said is true that the NCAA will take your best composites, that's even easier... I could of had a 35 if that was the case... The test isn't that hard. Hope he gets what he needs I'm guessing the English section kept you from a 36. I could have had I'm usually not on the grammar police, but if there was ever a time to correct someone on grammar it's when they are talking about how well they did on the ACT.
  4. am i missing something? people on here (but on Rivals especially) seem to be pumped about Heard getting a 17, so now he only needs a B average to make it to Lincoln. i for one think thats awful news. he needed an 18 and hes set in stone to come to Nebraska, but he takes all these ACT practice courses and raises it only 1 point?? now we have to wait until the middle of May to find out if our best recruit will even make it. i wonder if anyone else sees this as bad news rather than good
  5. What did it look like? He didn't do it privately? Cool story! Lucky guy. As for the young man, I'd have to say he made a very admirable decision. Good for him! (Sorry, HuskerBruin ) i was sitting a few rows away from the recruits at the basketball game and saw Bo and Barney talking to him for about 20 to 30 minutes and at the end they shook hands. i'm assuming that's when he delivered his commitment to the two coaches.
  6. i saw Admire commit to Pelini at the basketball game today. seeing a recruit commit to Nebraska = my life is fulfilled
  7. i enjoy the two tone green field
  8. or a math guy? $15,000 If that was the case, then I wouldn't have a job. When I looked for it earlier, I came across this site. There it says a $2 bet on 15-1 odds would pay $32, which would be 16 times, not 15 which didn't make sense to me. (I did that 16 times thing all by myself!) sorry I didn't mean for it to sound critical. fyi though you receive $32 on a $2 bet because the $2 counts as the bookie returning your $2 that you bet with. you are still only making a $30 profit. so if you placed $1000 on Nebraska winning the title and say they do (cross your fingers!) you would receive $16,000 which makes your profit $15,000 also out of curiosity, what is your job?
  9. I'd put Cooper ahead of Bell at WR. Speaking of Cooper...I wonder if being on the baseball team is bringing him down a little bit. Every practice can make a difference. Spring football is a chance to improve and he's missing it to play baseball. He's a great athlete, but I'm just wondering if it's stunting him at all. It would also be interesting to hear how the coaches feel about it. While they're evaluating players in the spring, he's not there because he's playing baseball. it sure as heck is bringing him down a bit. i wish he wouldn't play baseball, but i mean it's his best sport for now so we cante expect him to quit. i think Bell makes great strides this spring. he has all the play making potential, he just needs to get blocking down. maybe Gilmore will soon realize that CFBs and the NFLs best WRs usually aren't great blockers, and thats not why they're in. is it better if he can block? of course. but he's in there to catch passes which is going to be darn good at. i think Bell is 2nd string behind Kinnie for sure
  10. i think our defense is better than last year. losing Suh is big, but the secondary will be even better and the d-line as a whole unit won't be any worse. Turner was good, but very replaceable by Ankrah and Meredith. Baker will do great, Crick will be better, and Allen will have a break out season. the wildcard is finding that one linebacker to step it up in the dime defense and to have another reliable backer for the nickel
  11. Nope. Rivals actually looks into the future and determines what their 40 times will be in college.
  12. wow good catch. i guess McBride's getting a little old haha. nonetheless a commercial that gives me shivers every time i see it.
  13. the player he talked to wasn't I.M. Hipp. the player he talked to was a freshman linebacker. I.M. Hipp was the one that fumbled the ball and Colorado took it to the house to make it 14-0
  14. can anybody find this on the internet anywhere? its the one when he's talking about Colorado getting up 14 to zip on us and he leans over to a freshman and says "what are we gonna do?" and the freshman says "Coach.. It's Colorado"
  15. so where do you think he fits in on the depth by seasons start? i'm assuming this means McNeill is at TE still. i'd say it goes like this.. WR- Niles & Kinnie... A. Bell and Reed... Cooper and Gilleylen TE- McNeill... Harper... Young... Cotton
  16. my guess: 360- Tim Tebow PS3- Ndamukong Suh PS2- Toby Gerhart/CJ Spiller/Golden Tate PSP- Colt McCoy i don't see Bradford because a) he didn't play this year and B) i don't see 3 QB's for only 4 slots also i'm buying either a PS3 or 360 this summer. whichever one Suh is on could, sadly, be the deciding factor.
  17. Sherman's Texas A&M = Callahan's Nebraska Year One- No Bowl. Year Two- Decent Bowl Game (we won ours though) Year Three- Pretty good Pre-season hype. Sort of lives up to expectations. Year Four- The fall. A&M is in year 3. they may be ok, but i'm more worried about Mizzou. i think Mizzou takes at least one of the A&M/Tech games, if not both. I'm gonna say they go 10-2 (6-2) (though probly one of the worst 10 win teams in the country) we just love laughing at Mizzou right now, and they are just waiting to sneak up and surprise us. given they weren't and aren't as good as their fans believe they are (but whose team is?). but they sure havent fallen, and in fact i'd say their future looks alot brighter than we give them credit for (though they will be playing 2nd fiddle to us in the North) i truly think were a top 5 team and we will beat them at home if were focused. if it were in Columbia, it would IMO be our toughest game this year. at least as tough as Texas at home.
  18. this could be our sleeper team we lose to. we need to take them seriously. they are going to be good. we'll be better and its at home, so we should take care of business
  19. being a Vikings fan, i'd love to have Kevin Williams on both of my D-lines!
  20. i'd like to wear the all whites whenever we play @ Colorado.
