  1. Our next head coach I hope not! I like winning. Once Bo leaves for Ohio State after winning 2 titles here, Gill will be our head coach, and a damn good one.
  2. Two points. Has a 16 needs an 18. Braylon Heard = Next Rodney Stewart x 10
  3. Ok I get it now. I thought you meant the list was alphabetical by first name, but now i understand. wonder why they did that...
  4. The official Rivals rankings don't come out until later. Then why does each player's profile have a national ranking on it?
  5. why is it when i look at the Rivals250 to watch for 2011, the names are all in alphabetical order by position? but when i click on a player, like Tyler Moore for instance, his page shows him as the 243rd ranked player in the nation for 2011. Some others: Aaron Green- 2 Jamal Turner- 121 Christian Westerman- 53 Why don't they just order them by rank instead alphabetical by position? kinda bothers me
  6. i have confirmation that McNeill's been working with the WRs. its not an official move yet but it looks likely
  7. looks like a good player. one thing that makes me laugh is in his videos he tends to fall down after he makes the catch probably 60% of the time
  8. What a joke. USC is ahead of Florida now. USC has 5 five stars, 14 four stars, and 1 three star. Florida has 4 five stars, 18 four stars, 5 three stars, and 1 two star. USC has one more 5 star, but four less 4 stars, and four less 3 stars. Here's the math equation that this is telling me. 1 Five star > 4 Four stars + 4 Three stars + 1 Two star I'd take the latter every time. I understand that the rankings of individual players are already flawed, but if you can't at least make a reasonable form of team rankings based on the flawed player rankings, then that's just pathetic.
  9. Offense- Heard. We are under appreciating this guy. We don't often get Rivals100 players, let alone skill position players. Also Hardrick. Defense- Cooper. Just because of our need at safety. Gotta be pumped about Lavonte too. Sleepers- Ciante Evans. Give him time to develop. Harvey Jackson. Give him time to develop. Bigges Sleeper is Donovan Vestal. If we weren't so deep at DE, I think he'd play this year. Given our depth, he redshirts and competes for playing time the next year.
  10. who here felt like he seemed like he didn't want to go to UCLA? i got the impression from watching that conference that deep down he felt he wanted to be at Nebraska but his mom played too much of a factor
  11. i'd rather him commit to UCLA than have to wait another week or two
  12. there's nothing our staff could do about this. if a kid is stupid enough to go to the worst team in FBS we can't help that at all. he just wants immediate playtime and is obviously scared of Cody Green and Jamal Turner
  13. i can't call the best RB in Nebraska history the worst thing to happen to the program
  14. the Fajardo cancellation tells me that Carnes committed to Bo on the in-home tonight. whether we'll hear about it tonight, tomorrow, or on Feb 3... im not sure
  15. i was rather impressed with his video actually. i don't see Cooper doing anything better than Ruffin did in their videos Well I'm certainly not going to act like I'm a professional talent evaluator, so I definitely (hopefully) could be wrong here. But what specifically do you see in Ruffin's film as a safety impresses you? not much. in fact i thought he looked pretty good at RB. but my point was watch Cooper's video. extremely umimpressive for a 4-star. basically i'm saying we shouldn't judge Ruffin's safety skills by his limited amount of video because we are all in love with Cooper, whose video is equally unimpressive Oh I'm not saying this kid sucks because the three or four clips of him playing safety is unimpressive. Not at all. I was just saying that it makes the most sense that he would be offered as a safety, but that his film makes him much more attractive at RB or even WR. But like you rightly noted, Cooper's film would suggest that he's a better WR as well. But the bottom line for me is that I trust this staff. So if they want him, then I do too. i agree i'd be more excited to see him on offense. but as you stated, in Bo we trust
  16. I heard the same rumor. I saw him at the rec three days ago

  19. I will personally promise you that Kenny Bell will be a husker. I just thought to myself that when looking at the depth chart in terms of future needs, we really do need to sign a safety in this class. With that said we must just be trying to make sure that we get one.
  20. i don't think our coaches would have realized a week before signing day that we need another receiver. if we wanted another receiver, we would have chased Austin Hill or Willis Wright harder. based on this kid's videos i expect him at RB or Safety, and most likely being Safety
  21. It is way too early to tell on Heard. He still has a semester to get his classes done and possibly a summer course or two that he could do to get qualified. If Heard was such a risk to qualify then I don't think Bo would have went after him, not saying that Braylon will qualify for sure but I think he has a pretty good shot to be in Lincoln this Fall. yeah that's what i was thinking. the next ACT isn't till February and he only needs an 18 so he should be fine as long as he tries. i think this means Coopers out
  22. well... he plays a lot of running back and a lot of safety in his video. he's listed as a WR but he is split out wide in only a few plays. this tells me Cooper isn't coming or Heard didn't qualify. IMHO i hope were keeping Heard. i think Coopers a bit overrated and Heard is a bit underrated
