  1. I've created and pinned new threads to the recruiting section per your suggestion dating back to 2007. Each thread is titled: 20-- Recruiting Team Rankings

  8. Decided to merge the 2008, 2009, 2010 walk-on threads. If anyone wants to add the 2011, 2012 walk-ons, this thread will be the place to do so.
  9. Thomas Brown's HS teammate. That's a good start.
  10. Because it's HTTPS which is a security layer. Nowadays a lot of youtube videos are switching to HTTPS vs the standard HTTP protocol. All you have to do is remove the S from the link and it'll embed properly. Revisit your post. I've edited it without the S in the link.
  11. Learn something new everyday. Some already know this, but for those who might not, the Associate HC and RB coach @ Bama is former Husker Fullback, Burton Burns (1971-1975).
  12. That quote is way off, says 88 mph on Rivals. Has a 12-6 curveball and change-up as well. Thanks for the info, Nexus! 85, 88... same difference.
  13. I'm unclear as to what you're asking for exactly? When you say a team's recruiting pages, what does that mean? To me, that means going to the actual recruiting websites that cover Nebraska recruiting like the following: http://nebraska.247sports.com http://nebraska.rivals.com http://nebraska.scout.com Each of those sites also have current team rankings embedded on the front page. Then you'll have to navigate the site menus if you want to see past team rankings and whatnot. So if you can clarify what you're seeking, I'll see what I can do.

  15. Why? Just to reassure the fam? Standard procedure in the final month before signing day. Bo's agenda for the rest of this month will be in-home visits. HC's are only allowed one in-home visit per recruit. Assistants on the other hand have unlimited in-home visits available to them.
  16. According to 24/7 and Rivals, NU secured a new 2014 commit. He doesn't have a perfectgame.com profile yet though. I found this little tidbit about him:
  17. I'm curious to learn what trouble you're referring to here? No sarcasm, honest question? The Meyer quote is interesting for many reasons. If you add the "Houston Nutt didn't get on the plane" saga to the Meyer quote, it starts to look like a puzzle. Let alone who else might've spurned Pederson's offer that we're not aware of? Tennessee's 2012 coaching search is an excellent example of what 2004 Nebraska's coaching search looked like. It dragged on too long, wasn't pretty and in the end, people came away feeling "blah" about it.
  18. ND will open the checkbook to keep him if they really want him.
  19. FWIW, I created his profile in February 2012. I try to create profiles as soon as I'm aware of an NU offer shown by any of the the 4 recruiting services. This gives me a general idea who has offered by the time NU offered, which is why I don't update their offers list whenever they receive new offers afterwards. So we can guess NU was the 8th offer, give or take?
  20. If I'm Tim Miles, I'm taking a picture of the halftime score and posting it on Twitter.
  21. Yes. I'd pit them to square off by size. Enunwa would cover Taylor and vice-versa. Turner vs Newby as well. Enunwa and Taylor are similar size, yet play different positions. Same with Turner vs Newby.
  22. Flag football game. Who you got? Cali Huskers Johnny Stanton Terrell Newby Quincy Enunwa Texas Huskers Tommy Armstrong Adam Taylor Jamal Turner
  23. Started this around mid-November. Had to wait until the 2012 season ended to get final figures. Keep in mind that this isn't comprehensive by any means. I started @ 2008. I compiled recruiting rankings from Rivals & Scout, W/L records, preseason & final AP rankings along with Sagarin's strength of schedule (SOS) rankings for teams that reside in recruiting hotbeds + Nebraska. Interpret the numbers as you wish. Just wanted to get a general idea how we stack up to these schools in particular relative to all the figures presented here. It's worth mentioning that every recruiting hotbed school's average ranking (minus Florida with Scout) is ranked inside of the Top 10 by both recruiting services since 2008. FYI, I included Ohio State's 2010 season, even though they forfeited those 12 wins due to NCAA sanctions. Keys to abbreviations: NR = Not Ranked, PS = Preseason Ranking, F = Final Ranking, SOS = Strength Of Schedule, W/L = Win/Loss NEBRASKA = 48-20 (.706) Rivals 2008 - 30 2009 - 28 2010 - 22 2011 - 15 2012 - 25 Avg. = 24 Scout 2008 - 21 2009 - 33 2010 - 29 2011 - 19 2012 - 50 Avg. = 30 2008 - PS = NR - F = NR - SOS = 38 - W/L = 9-4 2009 - PS = 24 - F = 14 - SOS = 52 - W/L = 10-4 2010 - PS = 8 - F = 20 - SOS = 39 - W/L = 10-4 2011 - PS = 10 - F = 24 - SOS = 26 - W/L = 9-4 2012 - PS = 17 - F = 25 - SOS = 20 - W/L = 10-4 TEXAS = 47-18 (.723) Rivals 2008 - 14 2009 - 5 2010 - 3 2011 - 3 2012 - 2 Avg. = 5 Scout 2008 - 16 2009 - 7 2010 - 3 2011 - 3 2012 - 1 Avg. = 6 2008 - PS = 11 - F = 4 - SOS = 14 - W/L = 12-1 2009 - PS = 2 - F = 2 - SOS = 38 - W/L = 13-1 2010 - PS = 5 - F = NR - SOS = 47 - W/L = 5-7 2011 - PS = NR - F = NR - SOS = 5 - W/L = 8-5 2012 - PS = 15 - F = 19 - SOS = 12 - W/L = 9-4 USC = 46-18 (.719) Rivals 2008 - 8 2009 - 4 2010 - 1 2011 - 4 2012 - 8 Avg. = 5 Scout 2008 - 9 2009 - 9 2010 - 5 2011 - 4 2012 - 20 Avg. = 9 2008 - PS = 3 - F = 3 - SOS = 16 - W/L = 12-1 2009 - PS = 4 - F = 22 - SOS = 19 - W/L = 9-4 2010 - PS = 14 - F = NR - SOS = 8 - W/L = 8-5 2011 - PS = 25 - F = 6 - SOS = 33 - W/L = 10-2 2012 - PS = 1 - F = NR - SOS = 17 - W/L = 7-6 FLORIDA STATE = 47-20 (.701) Rivals 2008 - 9 2009 - 7 2010 - 10 2011 - 2 2012 - 6 Avg. = 7 Scout 2008 - 8 2009 - 18 2010 - 9 2011 - 1 2012 - 11 Avg. = 9 2008 - PS = NR - F = 21 - SOS = 48 - W/L = 9-4 2009 - PS = 18 - F = NR - SOS = 3 - W/L = 7-6 2010 - PS = 20 - F = 17 - SOS = 18 - W/L = 10-4 2011 - PS = 6 - F = 23 - SOS = 68 - W/L = 9-4 2012 - PS = 7 - F = 10 - SOS = 66 - W/L = 12-2 FLORIDA = 52-15 (.776) Rivals 2008 - 3 2009 - 11 2010 - 2 2011 - 12 2012 - 3 Avg. = 6 Scout 2008 - 12 2009 - 21 2010 - 1 2011 - 26 2012 - 5 Avg. = 13 2008 - PS = 5 - F = 1 - SOS = 4 - W/L = 13-1 2009 - PS = 1 - F = 3 - SOS = 15 - W/L = 13-1 2010 - PS = 4 - F = NR - SOS = 21 - W/L = 8-5 2011 - PS = 22 - F = NR - SOS = 22 - W/L = 7-6 2012 - PS = 23 - F = 9 - SOS = 4 - W/L = 11-2 OHIO STATE = 51-13 (.797) Rivals 2008 - 4 2009 - 3 2010 - 25 2011 - 11 2012 - 4 Avg. = 9 Scout 2008 - 4 2009 - 1 2010 - 20 2011 - 6 2012 - 3 Avg. = 7 2008 - PS = 2 - F = 9 - SOS = 46 - W/L = 10-3 2009 - PS = 6 - F = 5 - SOS = 50 - W/L = 11-2 2010 - PS = 2 - F = 5 - SOS = 70 - W/L = 12-1 2011 - PS = 18 - F = NR - SOS = 30 - W/L = 6-7 2012 - PS = 18 - F = 3 - SOS = 60 - W/L = 12-0
