  1. last year it took pitt a few weeks to get their offense going, and the offense is their only thing that they have... i think they will put some stuff together after 2 terrible games so i think that 10 points might be alil much... it should be close. UCLA is just one of those teams that u dont know to much about, or at least here on the east coast. i know they have a good offense, but what bout that defense, could ou just be in a slump like both nebraska and pitt
  2. solich's offense was actually pretty fun to watch.. i enjoyed their whole offense and defense, pitt on the other hand... the tried to run the ball which they cant do neways, and then they let palko get out of rhythm w/ greg lee and joe delsardo and that just ruined the whole game for them... ohio didnt have to do much to win cause matt cavanaugh and wanny really lost the game for pitt 2nite
  3. herbstreit, holtz... lets just add in mark may and corso and it will be an easy victory for the huskers...
  4. if the huskers defense forces WF to pass it will be a nice day, as long as the turnovers are cut down significantly... it will be close till the middle of the third i think, wen the nebraska defense finally breaks down the overrated rushing attack of WF and puts up some great defensive numbers in the second half to come away with a double digit win, but it will be close in the beginin
  5. OOO MAN... wat a game... i love defense and ohio played a great defensive game besides the last few minutes of the fourth... that corner has some great instincts... pitt is alil wimpy on the lines and that is not like a blue-collar town's sports team (The Steelers) maybe they should get some pointers from russ grimm and that o-line of the steelers that is so good
  6. ohio's lines are just beatin up pitts in the trenches... just think of what nebraskas d-line is gonna do to palko
  7. lou holtz was just on ESPN News and said that the huskers are gonna get upset. even mark may didnt pick WF to beat them... and just think, holtz is gonna take over for trev this week...
  8. if the huskers lose all of their games and only beat maine... hmm... i think the earth might go through another ice age or something...
  9. i heard that chalupa comment... man who says that?
  10. i can't believe that... its so weird because i was at gameday on saturday and they all had their share of air time... mark may just had more because they were at pittsburgh... by the way, chris fowler is one of the nicest guys ive ever met. i got autographs from them all and he was the most personable guy. and corso wore jeans!!! ha. did anyone see that they brought nick lachey on to cover usc games... that is just wrong... but the chants of wheres jessica? and nick simpson! really made it funny
  11. I am hopin that next weekend the wide receivers will come out and try to put all of the weight on their shoulders for the bad offense on third downs and in the red zone. hopefully they will help zac put up some crazy numbers against a wake defense who let a vanderbilt team, who did not look good at all last season but has some talent, power right through them...
  12. I completely agree with you coachKevin... i didnt watch it cause i am in PA, but i did listen to it... sounded like the o-line got no push, against a team they should maul in the drenches. the play calling from the goal line area was suspect... i know callahan wanted to get taylor his first pass td of the year but let's be realistic... puch that ball in... anyone could have done it down there... 3 passes in a row??? the fumbles costed pretty much all of the talented freshman that are comin in a chance at playin in the game... if they didnt fumble and lose all of their fumbles the margin would have been much greater, but the turnovers let the black bears gain some confidence and keep it close. but in the end its still a victory... hopefully much more improvement for next weeks game against the deamon deacons THANK YOU BLACKSHIRTS, JORDAN CONDGON!
  13. thanks for the cosgrove stats DJR313... it seems like he could stop the team in terms of yardage, but they seemed to score alot. just hopin he can work w/ the young secondary and linebackin corps so that they can get better from last year
  14. i think that the linebackers really have to show themselves... with the loss of ruud from last year and the loss of a few of the secondary starters from last season, alot of pressure is gonna be put on them to tackle well and cover in the secondary and get pressure on the qb wen called upon. on offense, the quarterbacks definately have to improve for the team to do better than last year, and hopefully it will be a great improvement, but as long as taylor doesnt throw 4 int against maine like dailey did in last years season opener, i will be fine for now. I also wanted to ask about cosgrove... how was his defenses at wisconsin wen he coached there. from wat i can remember he never really had a great defensive team, but he had recruited great talent... i hope that this doesnt happen here, but can somebody find stats on that if at all possible because i wanna know if my feelings about him and his teams in the past were right or i should cut the blackshirts' headmaster a break...
  15. 8-3... wins against all of the usuals, with losses coming between these teams in my opinion pitt, tt, ou, cu... but i think we will beat pitt...
  16. pitt vs. notre dame will be fun to watch... and of course gameday will be there... and i will be there at gameday wvu vs. syracuse... mountaineers and orange are too really underrated teams in the big east... the loser might be set up for disappointment oregon vs. houston... i wanna watch this duck offense... its gonna be good fsu vs. miami... wow this game is gonna be a defensive funfest vt vs. nc st... underrated team in nc st... their d line is awesome could be an upset georgia vs. boise st... lots of hype but could be a blow out can anybody tell i cant wait... whichever game i end up watching it will be awesome... college football is back!!!
  17. recruiting, leadership, coaching, wanting more than the other team, performing higher than what the coaches expect... i think any coach that can trust his backups... not just put them out there in the last five minutes of a blow out, and uses them frequently and can decipher talent from the not so talented that team should be a quality team. if the team does not have vocal leaders it wont win either
  18. They could get anywhere from the cotton bowl if they beat all of their big 12 north opponents to that eighth bowl slot, but i could not see them not being in a bowl.
  19. oregon is back this year... with whitehead, clemens, williams, and ngata they have the talent to challenge the trojans. it will be close, but playing in autzen will really help the ducks take a victory from the champs
  20. wow i dont agree w/ these at all... drew tate omar jacobs mike hart drew stanton laurence maroney DeAngelo Williams those are just a few
  21. greg lee isnt as good as si and every other magazine says that he is... last year he dropped alot of passes and with wannesdadt in there now he will make a statement by running the ball alot more than walt harris did i think. last year harris would call plays to lee on every single play on a drive down the field and if teams didnt adjust they scored in about 5 plays and 2 minutes. wannesdadt brought in the ravens o-coordinator... the ravens' whose offense did not do anything worth b eing proud of for the past few seasons besides jamal lewis. there is no jamal lewis on pitts team... plus its a whole new playbook
