If Nebraska Did Go Undefeated in 2010-11
Chucktown Husker replied to theneguy95's topic in Husker Football
I went with NU and BAMA because everyone knows the Big XII and SEC are the two best conferences and they both compete year after year for the title. -
I'm still having nightmares replaying that picture in my head. Down to the last strike and it was crushed. By the way, did anyone else see that you can actually watch the games for free through the texas site. You have to listen to their announcers, but it was better than nothing.

What a heartbreaker. They fought hard the whole game and handled them until the last 1/3 inning. They are so freakin close.
-
Nuff said.

That makes a lot of sense. I also think that in addition to thier "lack of focus" they severely underestimated our team. There seemed to be a lot of jaw-jacking from their players before the game and once they got behind, they became frustrated. On another note, after the game I attempted to congratulate a few of their fans and you would've thought that I kept their daughter out past curfew or something. I was just surprised by some comments and can understand the frustration, but pointing fingers doesn't solve the problem.

Yuengling Lager from America's oldest brewery. -
I can go for that as long as we keep selling out.

Hopefully some confidence boosting for next weekend at texas.

Whenever I do get to town to go, it's in my in-laws big red expedition. We pick up Grandma and cruise to the parking lot right outside the osborne complex (Grandma has a handicap sticker so she gets good parking). Usually get a good buzz drinking from a red cup, keeping watchful eye of the patrolling officers and watch my brother-in-law yell something stupid at larry the cable guy when he pulls up.

Hold on let me check.................Holy Crap!!!!! It's back on. Now I can watch the NHL playoffs at home instead of spending more $$$ on beer at the bar.

Dirk Chatelain: He may be a real McCoy, but he's no Suh
Chucktown Husker replied to Nexus's topic in Husker Football
Totally agree. McShay is annoying. I've accepted the fact that because of these so-called experts (who probably either never played football or rode the pine), Suh won't go number one like he should. However, I am willing to bet the farm that Suh will have a much longer and productive career than McCoy and that I can live with. -
McCoy = DB Based on the new information coming to light, I retract my previous statement. Sorry Mr. McCoy.

If MU & CU leave who will replace them in the BIg 12?
Chucktown Husker replied to corncraze's topic in Other Sports
We could win those games!! Actually, there is probably a good chance at that. -

Might as well add SMU and Rice to the Texas conference since that usually is the horns non-conference schedule. Just remembered UTEP also. -

I agree. That seems like the best option without causing a lot of chaos. -

Good point. I was trying to avoid adding a crappy team like CSU in hopes of boosting up the north some with the oklahoma teams. But I would take the wins. dont get me wrong, some quality teams would be great but its just not good for us if everything is based in texas and who is to say that these other teams wont get better once they start making big 12 money etc... How about CSU and Iowa? I was born and spent half my childhood in the hawkeye state. Kind of partial to them and I like to root for them in the little 11. I think it would be a competitive game each year, but seriously doubt they would move. -

TCU sounds fine to me. How about Houston so we can play OU every year? They could hang offensively with the other schools, but defense isn't always a priority.
