  1. I concur, the last sentence was something that all of us were not expecting. Being born and raised in Iowa, but growing up a Huskers fan, you really only grow up liking Northern Iowa.
  2. Gus Johnson, is one of the best at play-by-play commentary. Him, Kevin Harlan, and Brad Nessler can take what looks might be a boring game, and making it exciting.
  3. James Vandenberg is the same QB that Iowa fans, at one time, were calling James "Mandenberg." Hawkeye fans, not all, but a majority, are pretty ignorant and intolerable to be around when it comes to sports discussions. I can say this, because that's the state I was born and raised in. If they ever try to tell you that they could care less about Nebraska, they're lying to you, because they have a television show every Sunday night, "Sound Off," out of Des Moines, where they call in any chance they get to put their two cents worth on the University of Nebraska.
  4. We've got to secure a championship slot first. Then, we must win that championship game against Wisconsin. I'll worry about our bowl game opponent when that time comes. First, we must pound the Hawkeyes in Iowa City!
  5. I may have been born and raised in Iowa, but I cannot stand the Hawkeyes. Their team has looked absolutely terrible this season, and living with their fans as long as I did, I can honestly tell you that they think/thought they had the greatest team in the country, and were never realistic about their team. Let's knock off the Gophers first, though! I'll be watching from down here in south Louisiana. I look for Nebraska to win by at least three touchdowns, because they are long overdue for a strong and consistent performance from both sides of the ball. Go Big Red!
  6. Hey!, Me too! I never played at either level, but I do play-by-play for high school games, and do a two hour pregame show for Nicholls State University, who plays in the Southland Conference, where we do coaches/players/university official interviews. In fact, I'll get to hopefully speak with Oregon State Beavers head football coach, Mike Riley, in a few weeks, as the Colonels need to make up a game December 1st with them, because of Hurricane Isaac. I'm assuming that this question was brought up, because of the amount of posters who question Nebraska's coaching staff week in and week out?
  7. There's no doubt that we deserved this win. Another excellent come from behind victory. That goal line fumble would have stayed a touchdown had they ruled it a TD from the beginning. It was just too close in their eyes.
  8. I hope not, commando. The come from behind victories are exciting, but my heart can't take anymore. I really hope that we're up this whole game, haha.
  9. I'm sure there have been. We've had them quite a few times the past two years, and I've never been impressed with them. I think this was probably their second game this year for us. I guess I don't pay enough attention to who officiates our games. I hope we don't get them anymore this season.
  10. There were certainly bad calls for both sides in yesterdays game. I would hope that both coaches send in replays to the B1G about these issues. Has there been complaints about this crew before?
  11. I think he's just thinking too hard this season, instead of just letting it go off of his foot. There's that pressure to be as good as he was last season, and I think he's trying to outdo his previous performance.
  12. I like Greg Sharpe, he knows his stuff, sounds professional, and he shows emotion when it is needed.
  13. I said Pederson, just for the fact he was the one who started it.
  14. Being an Iowan who loves the Cornhuskers....I would love to beat the Hawks in any BCS game. As for the Buckeyes...would be interesting in itself for Bo to play against the school he played for. Last year a friend who I met through the radio broadcasting program I'm in, agreed with me that each of us would not be surprised to see Iowa and Nebraska play in a BCS game against one another with-in the next 5 years... maybe even the BCS championship game.
