Martinez's 3 interceptions should actually count as completions. Wisconsin's uniform looks so much like ours that Taylor got confused a few times on what color we were wearing. So in all reality, he feels pretty good about how accurate those throws were to the Wisconsin players. Some of the best passes he's thrown all year.

I do agree Wisconsin is the best team on our slate. Period, end of discussion. That team we played last night will not lose another game, and deserves to be in the top 5. Now, we are close. Look at how we played in the first quarter. Consistency is the key. If we wouldve stuck to our guns from the second on the game wouldve have been a lot closer. I do agree with that for the most part. I think we are close. We have some very key positions we must improve at....but yeah we can compete with these guys. That's where I say the coaching aspect came into it. Why we didn't open that second half with a healthy dose of the run I don't know. I know the game was already a little out of hand, but I think we were having very good success on the ground. Our coaching staff panicked and the play calling changed for the worse. Pelini's yelling, screaming, and dirty looks obviously didn't give the defense any sort of extra boost of enthusiasm either.

The title of this topic is right on though. I don't blame this game on Martinez ( atleast not completely), I don't blame our defense, or any other players. This coaching staff got their asses outcoached in every aspect. Preparation, game time adjustments, and player development. We were shown last night what a top ten team looks like. We aren't even close.

Wilson is also really, really special. Amazing what he does for that team. That is the kind of QB I want to see. And really, Wisconsin's offense...is the kind of offense we all want, I think. Everybody wants Wisconsin's offense, but yes. I think our offenses would be very similar if we too had a dual threat QB like they have in Wilson. Hell, your not gonna come across guys like Wilson every day, but if we could even get someone close to that, I think with our talent on offense we would be a National Title Contender. I made a comment like that a few weeks back. All I said was that I wish we had more of a dual threat QB instead of just a running QB like Martinez.......then I proceeded to have my head chewed off because I wasn't jock riding Martinez like some of the fools here. BECK WANTS TO THROW THE DAMN BALL! I don't know why guys can't see that. Nope everybody said, why would we replace Martinez, he's 70% of our offense,blah blah blah. I think Beck has this offense headed in the right direction. It's just too bad that he keeps trying to jam the passing game down our throats with a kid that clearly can't execute it.....(Martinez). Figure out what your gonna do at QB Beck or your ass will be right behind Watson. If we have to look at this same sickly looking sh#t offense til' Martinez graduates, well....then I guess I'll be one pissed off Husker fan. Not that Pelini and company cares how the fans feel about things. Hell, it's only hard earned money Nebraskans spend to follow this team around the country to see them get their ass kicked in the big games.

I do think we will play these guys again for the Conference title. Hopefully we have a bit better gameplan next time. One that involves distributing the ball to 3 talented running backs we have on this team......and a little less Martinez.

I'm not gonna flip out about this game like some folks are though. I knew going into this game that we would not win it. I counted this as a Loss all off season and season long. I didn't think we would lose that bad, but it happened. We will get better. These kids will mature and grow. We have to start making some decisions at different positions though. This mixing and matching and changing the starting rotation every week just doesn't make sense to me. Pelini says the jobs are earned in practice. I call bullsh#t on that one. I think some guys get in Pelini's dog house and can't work their way out no matter what they do. Childish sh#t if you ask me. There are some guys on this team that should be on that field and they are not seeing any time.

I agree. Beck is not only calling the plays, which I thought was done pretty poorly. He also decides who goes in there to execute this offense. I don't think Beck is doing a very good job developing Martinez, and apparently he can't develop a guy to take some snaps behind him either.

The way this game started had me feeling pretty good about the possible outcome. Martinez made some good throws. Some very good reads and good decisions. The defense looked great and it looked like we were going to have a very competitive game on our hands. As much as I think Martinez holds this offense back, I have to say, I was impressed in the beginning. This team gets down though, and loses it's confidence and we completely change. We gave up on the run. We started feeling like we had to score and score fast. Once that happened, the run game was gone and Martinez started taking shots. Instead of taking what the defense gave him, he thought he needed to make big plays. We really started to fade away. Then unfortunately, I never thought I would see a Pelini defense quit, but those guys quit. Martinez has got to learn that every play doesn't have to be a home run. If the routes are not developing and WR's are not coming open, then use your safety outlet and dump it to Burkhead. I can't tell you how many times I saw Burkhead all alone out there waving his hands. It would have been an easy 5 yards if Martinez would just quit panicking and dump the ball off to him. Then, you get Burkhead in space, with his moves.....I bet he takes those dump passes for a lot further than just 5 yards. That 3 second clock goes off in Martinez's head, and he freaks out. He starts to scramble or he throws into coverage every time. Even if there is no pressure and every defender is blocked down, he panics and will run right into a sack. It's getting so disgusting to watch, and it's not getting any better.

The pass right out of the gate in the second half just blew my mind. I can't bring myself to understand that one.......We have a great group of talented backs between Burkhead, Abdullah, and Green. I think we needed to ride that run game a lot more and keep the ball out of Russel Wilson's hands as long as we could. What a talent that kid is. We could sit here and point fingers all day long because there was really a lot of bad things exposed last night. We all expected that to be the case though didn't we? I mean, there really wasn't a lot of you expecting us to go into Madison and win was there? I predicted 38 -17 before kickoff, I guess Wisconsin felt like they needed to pour it on a little worse than I thought they would. Anyways...Back to work boys. We can't throw a whole season away because of this one game. But we can't be laying down and giving up once we start losing the damn game either. I know damn well that was the case, and it's pathetic. The only guy on that team who never quit was Rex Burkhead. That it unacceptable. This team needs to quit feeling sorry for themselves and get back into the grind. That is all for now.

Yeah, I had to go to an ESPN Alternate channel. I just got this DishNetwork about two weeks ago. I got to say though, I get a hell of a lot more football games than I ever did with cable. I mean I get all kinds of stupid games. By the way, that NFL Redzone is probably the coolest damn thing to happen in my football world in a long time. Wow that thing is cool. I love it for my fantasy league. They need it for Saturdays.

I love when I'm trying to get jacked up on a pump up video and I see Bill Callahan in the tunnel walk. That just kills the buzz. Why everytime I see that dude walking, it looks like he's trying itch his nuts without using his hands?
