I don't think this is how it went down at all. LJ was out with his ex-girlfriend and the current girlfriend walked in. I don't remember when the hollerin' and screamin' started, either after the current girlfriend caught him or after she left and then LJ text'd her to meet him in the basement. Either way, there was a rucus and LJ told the bouncer to get her out of here, the bouncer basically said you ain't Preist Holmes and she can stay. What I like is the fact that the cops showed up and no one wanted to press any charges. The girlfriend waits until the weekend (after she's talked to all her girlfriends and family) to press any charges. I can just imagine how this conversation must've went. . . . . "He's an NFL player with money, what do you mean you're not pressing charges "? So LJ is available to play against the Jets on Sunday and has a huge game and now all of a sudden the charges come out in the public. . . . . again This is my $.02 based on what I'm hearing here in KC but it smells a little fishy to me. If I was betting, I'd say this thing will be settled out of court. Right now, the only thing I'd accuse LJ of is being stupid - for putting himself in this position.

So if the talent isn't there we are just supposed to take kids because they are from Nebraska? That doesn't make since to me. As long as we get the Top in state kids every year I'm fine with that. There's really no way for a mid-western state to compete with only in-state players. I heard "Crabtree" say one year that MAYBE 4-5 D1 players would come out of the KC area where as Dallas would have over 300. It'd be hard to fill a "competitive" team if only 4-5 in-state players have D1 ability.

I'm going 7-4 though I WANT to say 11-0. I'm just wondering if much can be expected of first year players (freshman, juco, etc). I can look at the schedule and come up with atleast 8 wins but I also wonder if I'm looking through my scarlet colored shades . . . . . Now I'm even more confused.............

Why does everything one automatically assume Cally would be fired . . . . I didn't ready the article but when I saw this posting I thought it meant Cally would leave, go back to the NFL or whatever. I don't see how he could be fired after just 2 seasons no matter what, especially considering the recruits he's getting to NU. Just my opinion.

Down here (on the Kansas side of KC) it's all KSU during football season and KU during roundball. My boat mechanics are always "playfully" giving me sheet about NU, etc. They call me "Nebraska" because I always show up with Husker stuff on, they leave notes on my boat trailer saying "KSU Rules", etc. It's all in good fun - or as much fun as a NU fan can have hearing about the mildkittens. Anyway, I go to take the boat out over the July 4th weekend and one of the mechanics hands me this........ Those bassturds did alot of work on this, complete with my boat name and everything was free hand. I guess I owe them but it'll be in form and not some KSU crap
