  1. Looked like he just banged his knee. It'll bruise but he's good.
  2. Great play by Murray and Marshall, hard to defend. Defense needs to step up and get a stop.
  3. At least we got a 15 yard penalty out of that, the no call was pathetic though.
  4. The cameras in this game are f'in pathetic. How the heck do you not have at least 1 camera on each side of the field so you can see things from both sides? There's not enough evidence to overturn it even if it's reviewed.
  5. On the last drive Martinez moved past Ganz for the most total yards in a season.
  6. Check that, we've given up over 300 yards in the first half, but it really doesn't feel like it.
  7. 250 yards in the 1st half. The last drive by Beck was trying to be aggressive and on 3rd down the refs decided to use selective reffing on the intentional grounding (especially bad considering the exact same thing happened on Georgia's last offensive play). It didn't lead to anything by Georgia so I can't fault him. Overall the refs have been sketchy, but we've had sketchy reffing in our games every game this year. The defense has given up something like 275 yards on defense, but the effort is much greater than we've seen so far this year.
  8. The top of the SEC is pretty good, but the other 9-10 teams in the conference wouldn't do better in the B1G, Pac 12, or Big XII.
  9. That s what was reported in the news Since it's SEC ball they just assume his grades will pick up this coming semester. It's the DT that was ruled academically ineligible, not Jarvis. Though they both have the last name Jones.
  10. He was trying to be aggressive, UGA had it covered well and we get selective reffing.
  11. Need to get off the field on 3rd down, but overall the d has stood up pretty well.
  12. Vince Ferragamo was the starting quarterback in the Super Bowl. Just sayin' Berringer never had the chance to prove himself in the NFL. Who's to say he would have eventually lead a team to the Super Bowl. We can only look at Berringer's potential and it looks like he had the tools to be the most successful at the next level.
  13. I wouldn't put Berringer as one of our 10 best QBs. He's definitely one of the greatest and most memorable Huskers and probably had the greatest pro potential as a QB to ever come through Nebraska, but I still wouldn't put him up there. The problem with Martinez is that he's the starting QB during a lot of change in the program. Looking back at the games he's started, we probably would be averaging 7 or 8 wins a year instead of the 9+ we have over the last 3 years. In 2010 Martinez was the most explosive player on the field until he rolled his ankle against Missouri, if he doesn't play we're probably looking at an offense that repeats 2009's performance. In 2011 there simply wasn't anyone else, and since there wasn't anyone else Martinez learned how to be a game manager. Learned how to not try to hit a home run every play and take what he could get from the defense. Now in 2012 we have a Martinez who's stepped up his passing and his production has jumped up accordingly. He's really loose with the football but it seems like we've gotten use to it and like work the game plan around it. It definitely needs to be addressed, but it also hasn't really held us back either. I'm excited to see what Beck and Martinez have in store for next year.
  14. If Martinez gets better next year, puts up similar or better numbers next year, but doesn't win the B1G championship he will still be a top 5 QB at Nebraska. If he puts up similar numbers next year he will be so far above and beyond anyone that it would be hard to keep him out of the discussion.
  15. They can call it a Dynasty, it's just not as good a run that NU had from '92-'97.
  16. Sure the 3 NCs in 4 years is something to puff your chest out at (a great feat no matter what). You really don't enter the picture until you're playing for a NC in 4 out of 5 years and go 60-3 in those 5 years.
  17. People are worried about DT because even though we have a lot of bodies, practically every single one of them are young and unproven. The only 2 players we have coming back with experience are Randle and Rome. A JUCO DT would be a good stop gap. That and we've swung and missed on every single DT we've tried to grab in recruiting.
  18. As an offense we have over 6000 yards for only the 5th time in school history ('82-'83, '95, and '97 were the other years). There have definitely been some problems at times, but you don't see that production without being really good.
