  1. I love K-State football. I hate em if we play them, but the way they play so damn smart. They play hard! Damn I respect that program a lot. I got a lot of respect for Snyder and the way he's able to get the most from his team too. Can't say I care what thier win/loss record is....that's a good football team. They execute, and they play hard. All you can ask.

Agree 100%. Always loved watching them, and always cheer for them as long as we aren't playing them. Could the B1G maybe dump Rutgers and Maryland and bring in some of our old Big 8 brethren? A guy can dream, right?

  4. Gotta say, I really like Huskerboard. We have our moments, but damn, I respect the hell out of the virtual "you's" out there.

Really horrible clock/game management at the end of that one

  7. For all you whining little b!tches ... for me this loss means I have to take the kids to 20 houses for Trick or Treating tonight. 44 - 55 = 100 points 10.0 homes. Then another 10 homes for each point we lost by. I wasn't planning on going to 20 homes this evening. Gonna be brutal.

  8. For all you whining little b!tches ... for me this loss means I have to run 20 miles. 44 - 55 = 100 points 10.0 miles. Then another 10 miles for each point we lost by. I wasn't planning on a 20 mile run in the morning. Gonna be brutal.

Ummm...okay? And who is making you do this? Nobody cares, dude. Spare us your message board tough guy ad-hominems and faux-blaming us for you having to make such a personal sacrifice.

  9. 2 years after a Mike Shula team went 10-2, a Nick Saban team lost 6 games at Bama.

    1. Blackshirt_Revival

...Which ironically also just so happened to occur only ONE year after Mike Shula went 6-6 in his last year at Alabama.

  10. There is no need for speculation anymore: Mike Riley IS our Howard Schnellenberger (OU edition). The only difference being Howard actually had won a national championship before coaching at OU.

  11. Is Mike Riley our Howard Schnellenberger?

Indeed they are. Look at the similarities between Gibbs' records at OU and Bo's here (No Bo fan here, either, btw, just to clarify)

The only difference between the two that I see is that Schnellenberger actually had a national championship on his resume` when he came to OU. But Riley does seem nicer.

Schnellenberger at OU, I should clarify (if that was necessary)

  14. If we had Leonard Fournette would Langsdorf only run him 7 times a game?

Matty: If we start winning more games, you might get your answer. But I have a feeling the responses would then turn to "You can't even be happy with a win!" or "You're just looking to find fault with anything" etc.

Better question: Would he have him behind Newby on the depth chart?

  17. After watching and analyzing, theres no amount of clock management or decision making that woulda prevented illinois from moving down the field in the manner that they did. At the end of the day, Gerry let a man behind him in the closing seconds. They gained 50+ yards in one play.

    1. Blackshirt_Revival

      Blackshirt_Revival

Yeah, they would have had 30 seconds less to do what they did. But as has been mentioned, that was really just the cherry on the $hit sundae.

I felt the same in 2007. I feel very much the same now. I wanted rationalization to get rid of BC. Sometimes you have to "get into the big picture thing" as a fan, although it's turning out our post BC years have not been much better thus far.
