  3. Couldn't find original post but just wanted to make sure everyone saw this episode. My link Prolly why he was able to improve his 40 time. Nike S.P.A.R.Q. training is AMAZING! You can buy most of the things you see him training with and they offer camps that do the same training if you know athletes who want to better themselves. Once Again I wish we were a Nike school so this stuff would be a part of our winter conditioning.
  4. So proud both as a Husker fan and a Nike employee!!!!!! He represents so well for everything both stand for. I just want to take this time again to rub in my 40% discount. Man I wish we were a Nike Team but Suh stuff will be cheap for me.
  5. My wife is distant cousins with Zac Taylor. She only met him once when she was little. I have a cousin who played piano on Hee-Haw. (She wins)
  6. I can't help but hope for a move. I think the biggest flaw would be recruiting. But, the instant rivalry with Iowa would be great. Also, If you think Iowa isn't used to playing hard nosed Defensive football your crazy. Their teams lately have been pretty good. I think it would be a good fit but if colorado would leave I would be good with that too.
  7. Thanks to whom ever merged. Yeah it was just announced at work employees = last to hear anything didn't realize it was this bad lol But at least I'll be able to get my Suh gear for 40% less than you
  8. It was announced today at work (I work for Nike). He will be participating in a webcast today Fri. Feb. 5th kicking off the 2010 Nike High School Combine Tour. It was just announced so not many details yet.
  9. From the article you linked to: I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Your telling me....... I work for Nike Think about the Nike sponsored teams Texas,T A&M,Ducks,ISU,Hawkeyes,Colorado, ect ect ect I wear off brand husker gear every single day just to keep from cutting myself.
  10. What technology goes into them? Is there a advantage to wearing them? I havengt liked the look of any I've seen but I'm sure the look can be changed. So if there is an advantage is ig possible to look at stats in games where they were/weren't worn to see if stats back up the advantage? http://replaytheseries.com/pages/landing?b...amp;tagID=10895 some of the specs. are in here -Lightest gear ever -seams are body mapped to improve movement -dri-fit material (if you've never worn it you missing out) you can be drenched in sweat and feel perfectly dry. also prevents chaffing -mesh placed in specific zones to keep you much cooler * It's not an exaggeration Nike puts years of Athlete research into every item it makes. I wish I could show you some of the proprietary info. I have at work Love the Dri-fit gear. Aren't all the new materials ridiculously lighter when wet too? Yes much lighter. Read the article the Mizzou uniforms are lighter when 100% wet then the regular uniforms dry. The Whole point is that you feel as if your not even wearing a uniform or pads. (even though you actually have better padding in key areas) If you can't feel it then it's not hindering your play. Remember playing high school ball how heavy you felt when running?

  12. You win the internet!!!!!!! it's done close it.
  13. I understand that a team should try for a QB in every class. My point to this topic is. This year we have guys trying to learn from another inexperienced QB. Washington has played how many times at QB at college level? and it was reported that he was the QB teaching the correct way to option. We had Green learning from Lee. Is what they are learning helping or hurting? Have you ever seen A blind seeing eye dog? Could giving the boys one year more year to learn themselves before teaching others be better? I think so we have some great rough talent right now that could carry us for 5 years if taught well. Let's get solid before we pass on our QB traits to our future.
  14. http://www.omaha.com/article/20100104/BIGRED/701049884 I would think at this point we could use that spot to fill a different position. I would like to see us build more experience at QB this year. I really got the feeling this year of the blind leading the blind at QB. Of course having Ganz running around will help for sure.
  15. Well I work for Nike so..... I like them - the technology involved in our uniforms is actually amazing Pro Combat gear will be the future. sidenote: I have to buy off brand Husker gear so I can wear it to work. I wish we would be a Nike team again my life would rock with my 40% discount Here is fun tool you can actually design your teams full uniforms: ( I make Husker uniforms to pass the time) Uniform designer from: Nike
  16. I fill my off season with many many dynasties of EA sports NCAA lol. Oh last update I heard was Sam Keller's lawsuit was tossed out of court. Still trying to verify that info. though
  17. Leaving work early got the snacks ready. Gonna see some Green in Red GO BIG M-N-F-N-RED
  18. Next Year I can really only see us fitting into 2 philosophies 1) Pistol: The Pistol Offense is an offense that features a quarterback in a short three yard shotgun and a running back three yards behind him. Upon the quarterback receiving the direct snap he may turn around and hand the ball off to the running back behind him, look up to pass or execute the option from the "pistol" with the running back. The advantage of this offense is that it gives the quarterback an opportunity to read the defense without the disadvantages of a normal shotgun such as signaling a pass play. It also allows the runningback an opportunity to run downhill as opposed to the shotguns normal sideways angles. This offense was innovated by current Nevada head coach Chris Ault. While the Wolfpack is the only school that uses this offense as their primary offense it has been seen throughout high school and college football.[citation needed]The Pistol has now even made the leap to the NFL in brief instances by some teams or regularly by the 2008 Kansas City Chiefs with Tyler Thigpen at quarterback. 2) The Wing T : The Wing T offense can be grouped into two major types. The first is the "Delaware," named after the college that first used the offense.[citation needed] This offense generally uses two running backs and the quarterback to move the ball, with a degree of passing. The other type is the "Bay City," also named after the college that first used it. The Bay City uses three running backs and the quarterback. This offense can be used in either power running or run fakes, and passes less than the Delaware offense.[citation needed] In both types of the Wing T, the key to the offense is the linemen. A large majority of the plays are done by trapping or pulling one or more of the linemen; this includes passing as well as running plays. This offense also carries out extreme fakes. The Bay City will sometimes have the QB and all three RBs carrying out run fakes well past the line of scrimmage. The Delaware, when run properly, will do the same, but only the HB and FB will do the run fakes and the QB typically fakes a pass play. In both offenses, teams are power rushing plays, with the Bay City better suited due to its personnel makeup.[citation needed]
  19. I will be cheering for KU whenever they aren't playing us. Great to see another Husker Great proving that UNL isn't just about football but about success in life. I also welcome any team that can help the Big 12 North become stronger. I tire of hearing how weak the North is as an excuse why UNL doesn't deserve National Media.
