  1. Well, in my opinion, I've never liked Adidas... I mean, Nike has always seemed to market and care about all sports, and Adidas reeeeeally seems to focus on soccer. Just today I was at my Adidas store and I didn't see any football stuff... Plus, I love the pro-combat unis. And for everyone saying Nike is too flashy, what about Ohio State? Nike, and yet nothing too radical. I don't get it.
  2. Yea, completely forget the fact the Herbstreit is one of the few people on ESPN that actually knows what he's talking about.
  3. I myself love the pro combat unis, I don't see what's wrong with most of them. TCU's are some of the best uniforms out there. And Ohio State's this year were great. A bunch of my Ohio State friends said they wouldn't mind a permanent change.
  4. Why didn't they pick Hayes-Schembechler as the Championship trophy and Osborne-Paterno as the Coach of the Year?
  5. leaders and legends is about as good and Swift and Bieber
  6. Yeaaaa you couldn't compete with a team like that.
  7. +1 Pocket presence looked like the biggest problem against Oklahoma, so he definitely needs calm down once the pocket collapses. It was almost like when he felt an pressure at all, he'd either chuck it or cover up the ball and stand there.
  8. Well I live in Ohio and most Ohio State fans root for the huskers. Kinda similar teams really. I think Penn State will be. I know a few Penn State fans and they all hate us from 1994... Could someone explain to me the Iowa thing?
  9. THIS. Not even necessarily in the backfield, just one the field at once! Rex in the wildcat more with Tmart split out! Anything! Best X's and O's advice I ever got in regards to coaching was to have your best players on the field and to find positions for them... There's a reason why Eric Martin is moving to End.
  10. I messaged the guy on facebook... he didn't like me...
  11. I had this idea last night that Crick would be good at End in the Big 10. Outside of a few teams in the Big 12, there isn't much size. Going to the Big 10 could be a rude awakening in that area of 3 yards and a cloud of dust. If there is another tackle who can really stop the run, I could see Crick moving out to End on occasion to stop the run, especially if we use the same peso defense. Do you think there's a chance we see packages against teams like Wisconsin, Iowa, MSU, and even OSU where we run the traditional set with David, Compton, and Fisher?
  12. Even if he played for Nebraska I wouldn't him. Anyone that preachy loses all respect immediately. exactly. i get tired of the notion that just by being religious they are a better person. SUH's actions speak as loud, if not louder, than his. yes, i agree that the reason most people disparage him is because of media attention, which is not his fault. but, the moralizing and preaching is annoying. i know he has done missionary work, but that is worth so much more (in the media's eyes) then just doing charity work at 24th and Lake. they did so many stories on his missionary work and religious background, if someone else did non-religious charity work, the media could care less. being religious automatically makes someone 'good', regardless of their other actions. it also implicitly states that a student who does everything else Tebow did, in regards to building character, is less good because they are not religious. i know this is going to be cliche, but imagine if Tebow donated 2.6 million to UF? how that story would be framed, the religious slant (oh, his religion keeps him so grounded, it is his faith that compels him to be so generous... etc). i'm more impressed with the person who is good, noble, courageous for the sake of being good, noble, and courageous, not because their religion causes them to be those characteristics, it just seems disingenuous. also, being the greatest fans on earth doesn't preclude us from criticizing and mocking. finally, tebow's speech after the ole miss loss was ridiculous. not plaque-worthy. +1 Completely agree. As an atheist, I find him and the media's love affair to be incredibly annoying. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Tebow said once that if you don't have faith, I don't know what you're living for... At that moment I knew he was a douchebag... Can't stand him. Does anyone remember his half-time speech in the national championship against oklahoma? a linebacker was giving the speech and then Tebow just bursts through the huddle yelling at everyone and basically quote the movie Varsity Blues. And then there was the time he was yelling at the kick off team... We had a guy like that on our high school team, and when he did stuff like that, people in the huddle went off on him. I don't like Tebow. And neither did the guy at the combine who told him to shut the f*** up.
  13. of course there is no official depth chart, and i know theres a lot of things that are up for debate, but could i get some opinions on what the upcoming depth charts looking like?
  14. If Lee is starting next year, the west coast is a terrible choice. Lee can be a good quarterback in his own right, ya know, a tough, smashmouth gamer. Not extremely talented, but wants to win. That being said, I don't think he wants to manage a game. The west coast only works if you can complete passes on a consistant basis. I really don't care about stats if we win. What I love to see is Lee trucking through a safety for two extra yards. But picking apart a defense is not his game, and if Watson forces him to do that, he, for the most part, neutralizes Lee. The guy will win you games if you give him the chance.
  15. I mean obviously it's run based, but it's not geared towards any specific type of running game. I mean we run the option, run outta the spread, power offenses, balanced attack and even the wildcat... Would you have a specific name for our O, our just a balanced running scheme?
