  1. This is an idea I have never thought of. @darrenrovell: Students to get assigned seats to @umichfootball games based on attendance record http://t.co/lsl2kfPrAD
  2. @Sean_Callahan: Help #Nebrasketball recruit Jacob Hammond win Oklahoma's Mr. Basketball award. He's only a few votes behind http://t.co/neNa79jwgP #Huskers Let's help him win!
  3. His recruitment is far from over. He also has interest in ASU. I think the coaches should tell him if he takes visits they are going to offer other RB.
  4. So are we having a no sit Saturday at memorial???? That was insane.
  5. If he doesn't win it there should be an asterisk next to whoever does. It's not even close IMO. I LOVE TIM!!!!!!
  6. God damnit had to leave the game at half. Too drunk and had a fever and it was hot as sh#t in there. At least 140 degrees. Let's go skerssssss!!!!
  7. This is the only thing I have seen so far. @RobinWashut: #ProDay #Huskers RT @Rose_IveyNB15: @SmooveSeisay w/ a 4.33???
  8. Trouble is they're already doing this. We really haven't gotten anything at football games other then a towel in the last couple years if I'm not mistaken. I'm not complaining since I don't think we should have to get free stuff to show up just wondering if I forgot anything? Two seasons ago they handed out tons of free sunglasses, as well as the Iron N towels and the 50 years of sellouts towels. They had some more towels this year for the MSU game and I know they had dozens of huge boxes of donuts for the early risers for the UCLA game. Room for improvement but those things don't have that huge of an impact - especially if the student section stays where it is and the people above row 70 in south get nothing That was actually kind of funny, the boxes got past down the rows and the upper rows got nothing of course. I forget exactly when, maybe between the 1st and 2nd, a food fight broke out between south and east stadiums. Hahaha I totally forgot about that. My friend was hammered and attempted to throw a donuts but it pretty much exploded in his hand and the entire glazed donut went into the girls hair in front of him. She was not happy.
  9. He actually has been tweeting a lot about nebraska lately. He also always tags Oscars pizza. Must be a fan.
  10. I just have a gut feeling it's going to be tough to hold onto this guy. The coaches are going to have recruiting him like he's uncommitted. I think he's going to get a lot of attention from southern schools.
  11. Ya but when minnesota_husker posted his weaknesses it sounded like Sergej 2.0. But he must be better if he's going to Zona. Washut also thinks we are looking for a D1 transfer.
  12. @AdamZagoria: 2014 7-footer Dusan Ristic will announce on Saturday, per @CoachKyle1 . Visited Arizona last weekend. Guna commit to Arizona. Washut thinks we will keep recruiting him until Zonas bigs declare for the draft.

  14. Speaking first-hand as someone that founded, ran and was president of a student fan organization, it's just not that easy. You can not manufacture excitement. Those Iron N kids are trying like hell, and to their credit, to come up with ideas and create an environment that will result in a conducive and snowballing effort of getting people excited, but eventually it comes down to those people actually deciding to do it. It's hard to do, and ultimately, winning really does cure everything. We've spent hundreds of dollars on incentives and advertising and promoting and prizes only to have a few hundred students show up and sit on their hands. But then our women's basketball team hosts regionals and plays for an Elite Eight berth? With one day's notice the section is jam packed full screaming and jumping. The Red Zone has a long, long ways to go as well. I wasn't trying to bash anyone in Iron N or blame them for the lack of student excitement. I know it's hard and honestly I don't know what can be done to generate excitement. In my opinion we shouldn't need an organization to get students excited. If you don't care about the game and aren't guna be loud don't go! There are plenty of people who would gladly take your ticket.
  15. If we were in the SEC, PAC 12 or Big 12 we wouldn't be in the top 5. I don't know about that. It seems like everyone is having issues with student sections and attendance, even Alabama. I really like what UGA did in that they cut a portion of their student section and created a young alumni section so people that have graduated in the last five years have seats specifically for them. I'd imagine those people have better attendance as well. I agree the young alumni would be a good idea. I'm not basing my ranking of student section only on attendance. I just feel like our student section isn't very loud. When I watch other games the students are loud, jumping around and seem to just be in sync. I think the boneyard or Iron N, whoever runs the football student section, should do a better job getting the students rowdy and together. I like what the red zone leaders have done for basketball.
  16. Haha ya I was pissed. I'm guessing it was one of those sorority girls who shows up to the game just to take a picture to show they were there and then sits on Facebook the rest of the game who reported us. I hate our student section. If we were in the SEC, PAC 12 or Big 12 we wouldn't be in the top 5. Why would a sorority girl turn you in...they love drinking!!! Some do... and others are just snotty bitches. I've run into a few of them on game days.

  18. East stadium gets wristbands, south stadium doesn't. Otherwise, yes, it's a free for all as soon as the gates open, and also pretty effortless to sneak in alcohol. It's easy to get booze in but once inside I guess they have cameras that are looking for students drinking. They also have security patrolling and watching the students. I found out the hard way and got slapped with an MIP at the Iowa game. No way! What happened? Me and a couple of my buddies were being loud unlike most of the rest of our pathetic student section and the cops said someone in our area reported us as drinking at the game. They pretty much swarmed us and took us to the campus police station. I also got a disturbing the peace. How in the hell do you get disturbing the peace at a football game??? ITS SUPPOSED TO BE LOUD.

  20. Damnit I was hoping he would be here for Wisky. @JucoRecruiting: Trey Dickerson (6-1/PG/2014) of Williston State will take an official visit to Iowa this weekend.
  21. I've always been confused about what tai's natural position is. Is he supposed to be a SG? If so he's not a very good shooter.
  22. So she doesn't like the Husker Power chant but didn't mind that the red zone previously yelled "who cares you suck" when the players name was said?
  23. The fact that they are 2-6 in their last 8 and we have a 5 game win streak and they are still ahead of us is sad. Not to mention the fact that we beat them. Too me this seems like the Minnesota name is still sexier then nebraska. Gotta keep building our image.
