  1. just for future reference its Bye Week. That is unless you know something about these kids that I don't HAHAHA.... I fixed it. Thanks!
  2. He visited Bama a day or two after NU and is suppose to visit USC before making his decision. I hope we got him in front of Tavita Thompson and Mark Phillips so he feels at least a little Polynesian connection. I don't think he's gonna choose bama because he wouldn't start and he wants to start.
  3. I like this kid. He's long. Plus the fact that we are trying to find a spot for him tells him we really want him.
  4. Most high school kids either have bad weight or no weight because of the lack of strength programs in highschool basketball. He holds the 270 fairly well and i dont think it will take time to put a LOT of muscle on his big frame. At 7'0, i dont expect him to have crazy ups but he does need to work on his basketball speed. He has only played for about 3 years, so i think it will increase. The good news with this kid is that it is well documented he has an incredible work ethic and is smart. He hasn't made a B this year and taught himself English in a year. That will go a long way in him catching up. Plus we've seen the way the strength staff transformed Tai Webster's body... It gives me confidence they can definitely do that with Jordy. I'm glad he will have 4mo in the strength program and working with Kenya before the season starts.
  5. For the kids who have Bye weeks they could always skip school on a Friday and come up the day before. There are 3-4 on that list with bi-weeks. The others wouldn't make at 11 and would barely make a 2:30. There's a 6am out of LAX that arrives in OMA at 1:30, so they could pull up as kickoff was starting and would probably miss the tunnel walk. Unless some of the rich Calabasas kids have access to a private jet I just don't see it happening.
  6. I've been trying to compile a list of guys with offers saying they are visiting this summer. You will notice most are pretty vague but they are kids trying to get out this summer (even if they don't make it till fall). The in state kids who are considered "interests" are all camping this summer. We may see some offers come after camp, but for now they are not included because there are a bunch of them on the fence. OFFENSIVE LINE OL - Alijah Vera-Tucker - trying to get out for a visit this summer. Talks to Gebbia. Has done a lot of research and wants good academic support. OL - Aaron Banks - trying to get up for BRW in June. Good relationship with Cav. DEFENSIVE LINE DE - Martin Andrus - wants to visit summer or fall DE - Robert Porcher IV - wants to visit this summer DT - Ben Hutch - wants to visit in June DT - Noah Elliss - wants to visit this summer DT - Rutger Reitmaier - wants to visit this summer DEFENSIVE BACKFIELD CB - Brian Edwards - visiting for BRW June 11 RUNNING BACKS RB - Kylin Hill - wants to visit this summer (committed to Mississippi State) RB - Jamari Peacock - says he is coming to June 24th camp TIGHT END TE - Josh Falo - trying to come for BRW in June TE - Reese Leteio - visiting for BRW in June TE - Kurt Rafdal - visiting for BRW in June TE - Cade otton - visiting Jn 10-12 for BRW
  7. Get him on the team and then put him where the biggest needs are.
  8. He has some bad weight on him. Definitely needs to get stronger and more explosive as he cuts his fat into muscle. He's a really good shot blocker and a big heavy guy in the paint, but barely has any ups to him and seems kind of slow in his reaction speed.
  9. porque? He has been peer recruiting to Nebraska. Plus he said "we" need you to a prospect with a corn icon and a GBR.
  10. Tuscaloosa Alabama would be a culture shock to him from Calabasas California. Plus he visited there twice already right? And his best friend is going to be the QB at Nebraska. And he loves Mike Riley... Talk about a difference between Nick Saban (never encourage a player or say good job, ride them super hard). One of my clients son's played for Saban and said nobody likes him but everybody respects the heck out of him and does what he says. KJJ wanted a father figure he could trust. He trusts Coach Riley. I don't see his dad allowing him to decommission and switch with the relationship he and Mike have. But these coaches aren't allowed to meet with kids right now. They are meeting with the coaches and happen to say hi to the kids as they come by. My fear is that Bama is gonna ty to pull Gebbia and KJJ away as a package deal. The Hawaiian kid they just got at QB wasn't their #1. Gebbia would fit their offense and KJJ likes a power offense like Bama runs. I wish he would just tell them to stop and shut it down.
  11. Notre Dame is a real threat to land him. Possibly his #1 right now.
  12. Could Strom grow into being a huge offensive tackle? Or does he project as a TE?
  13. He tweeted something about "we need you" to a big time DE from California with GBR and corn, as if he is committed there or something.
  14. Imo some of the best DT's are those who wrestled in hs and developed hand strength through something like throwing the discus.
  15. Who's got the better JuCO DT Film? Johnson or Young? If you have to pick one and can't take both which do you take? Johnson may be a 3-2 and is coming off a recent ACL. Young could play immediately but is a 2-2
  16. As much as I like to see all these kids follow each other to Nebraska to start something big and bring us back to dominance, I also see some of these kids who will want to break away from that to do their own thing and get their Own spotlight. Oregon is gonna nab some of these kids. So will USC. I don't think we have a real shot to land Lewis unless he gets on campus for a game. I think Lindsay is a bigger reality because he's been on campus for the spring game, he plays with Gebbia in 7on7 and knows what it's like to catch his passes.
  17. Out of the group of In state O-Linemen who is the best tackle prospect? You'd have to think that kid would be most likely to get an offer from us.
  18. There's a big difference for sure. My high school in Texas has an indoor practice facility, 3 football fields, it's own 12,000 seat stadium that gets sold out for a lot of games, and they have trainers for the team. If you wanted to play varsity football there you had to have a personal trainer year round, and go to this football performance center in the offseason. They also have nutrition plans for these guys and locker rooms with name plates, massage chairs, 55" ultra 4K tv's and video games.
  19. Just because Langs is in St Louis today doesn't mean he will be anywhere near there tomorrow. So if it's a commitment it could be from anywhere.
  20. I think the TE number of 3 Mike stated they wanted to take includes the HBack or fullback.
  21. Is Sam Foltz as good as or better than Sam Koch? Discuss.
  22. And the fact that we had more fans there than they did at their home game. 😂
  23. We have 4 guys who may get drafted this weekend: - Maliek Collins (projected 3rd or 4th round) - Alex Lewis (projected 4th round) - Andy Janovich (projected 4th fullback off the board, usually 3 are taken in the draft so he is on the fence for draft/free agency) - Vincent Valentine (projected 6th or 7th round) We also have these guys who might sign as free agents: - Jonathan Rose - has that big corner size and all the tools where a team would want to take a shot at him. - Daniel Davie - has the size and blew scouts away with his speed at a recent event. The question with him has always been his ability to translate his athleticism/size/speed to football. - Jack Gangwish - I don't think he goes pro. But some say he has a chance to get picked up on a practice squad somewhere. - Zack Sterup - I think he signs a free agent deal somewhere.
