  1. Chris Steele not going to make it. They had a late add on of 2018 WR Mekhi Metcalf who doesn't have an offer yet but wants one.
  2. Will not be able to make it this weekend but wants to visit ASAP
  3. The recruits seem to like the edits. They were all retweeting them last night. What this does is draw a bunch of attention to us. Why? Because other players are seeing a bunch of their friends flood Twitter with Nebraska stuff. It makes those kids go, hmmm why does everyone like that place? Maybe I need to go see it myself. That's what we want. We get 60 kids on campus and they all go back to their teams, Rivals and Nike camps, etc and they are all buzzing about how cool Nebraska was... it just gets more and more kids who wanna come see us. That buzz does nothing but increase our chances with the top guys. Kids want to pick schools that their friends think are cool so they get credibility with people. We want kids going... "dang you're going to Nebraska I wish I had an offer there, that place is awesome", not "why would you go to Nebraska, there's nothing there and it's easy to play on that team." The power of the "toons" is that you had 50 kids all retweeting at the same time and stating their excitement to visit. Marketing at its finest.
  4. I think they should split these 60 visitors up offense defense and separate them so that each group is on the sideline with their group of Nebraska football players. Make this big competition between offensive and defensive recruits. It would be kinda fun. Usually these guys get to go before or after the team in the tunnel walk. Can you imagine 60 of these guys doing that? Lol. Its like a whole other football team of recruits.
  5. I could see the # be only 3 this class. Farinok who is an interior guy, a swing guy like Bleich, then a true OT. Very likely, but we also had a scholarship open up on the O Line when our senior decided to move home this spring. His schollie will go to a senior walk on most likely for 2017 and then that gives us an extra for this class. We also have to wait to see how the guys gel this year. If guys like Brokop and Barnett never materialize then we may need that 4th one in this class.
  6. This kid and Salahuddin are our top two wants on the board as 1a and 1b. We would gladly take either.
  7. We don't have numbers to take a FB in this class. The plan is 1 RB and we are done with runners. They are focusing the numbers on WR, OT, and DB since those depths are dangerously thin for next year.
  8. Who are the better guys you know of that have high interest? Mychale Salahuddin out of Washington DC and Keaontay Ingram out of Texas. Both have breakaway speed and quick twitch that Grahm doesn't have. Grahm is a power up the middle strong guy who doesn't have the extra gear or speed to breakaway. The other guys are more multipurpose backs and Reggie Davis wants a do it all player.
  9. Know reason why? He had seemed to be very interested. I know financially sometimes it's hard. He had some family stuff come up and can't make it after all.
  10. Any guesses? Manuel Allen is my best guess but not sure after that. Mario Goodrich ? Graham Roberts ? Bookie said not committing till this summer right ? Best guess is Manuel allen, Bryan addison, and the OT committed to Penn St. Roberts is right there and so is Goodrich. Is that Penn State OT Bleich? That'd be a huge flip and a huge day if your three are correct. I'd be thrilled with Roberts and Goodrich as well. Not sure what they have in mind for Roberts position though.I think they have some RB's who are better than Roberts with high interest right now. To take Roberts this early as our one and done would be underwhelming to me. We have to go for the best we can get. Question is could he potentially be a linebacker? If that's the case, it doesn't fill up any spots for a big name RB If he's a linebacker he's an inside linebacker and the coaches have said they will not be taking any inside guys this year.
  11. This could be a financial situation and not a lack of want to situation. A lot of these kids who really want to see us just don't have several hundred dollars available to make it happen.
  12. On commit watch this weekend. Experts think there's a good chance he could commit.
  13. Roberts would like to be N but we may slow play him since we have some better guys with high interest right now. There are 2 or 3 guys right now who I think we would like before Roberts. He is a good back, but they prefer a great top 250 back if they can get one.
  14. I've heard multiple sources who claim they are very confident he will not sign with Penn State and fairly confident Nebraska is the front runner to get the flip. We want 3-4 OL in this class. Farniok is #1 and will be a center for us. This guy could play tackle or guard. Then we could really take our time finding that final couple of guys.

  17. He is coming up Thursday and staying thru Sunday. On commit watch this weekend as many feel we are the clear leader and he is very close to locking us in.
  18. Great list. Ronnie Perkins made a huge jump and is now a 4 star. He is a 96 on 247 and 93 composite. He dominated the camp he just went to. Since all the recruiting services vary in ratings, I usually base all my ratings off of what Rivals has posted and stay away from 247. So that's why I have him as a 3* at the moment.
  19. Where is this list from? Not saying it's wrong but has some differences from mine in the OP. Maybe we can work together to get it narrowed down. Warrior10 - I sent ya a private message.
  20. This is the confirmed list of visitors for the spring game. It is broken down by position and sorted by ranking from highest to lowest with 2019's and 2020's at the bottom. As it stands today, there are 21 2018 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Players. There are 15 2018 ⭐⭐⭐ players. There are 3 2019 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ players. There are an additional 4 unranked 2019 players and 2 unranked 2020 players. That means we are set for 45 visitors for the spring game NOT including 2017 signees who will be attending, which is about 8-10 of them.
  21. I noticed the forecast is calling for 10-20mph winds, mid 60's at kickoff with a 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms. With all these recruits coming in I pray that storm ends up delaying a day or so. We're going to be having Oregon/Washington weather if it doesn't.
  22. These kids blow around like pollen in the wind. What they say all depends on the hottest offer they got that week. He was excited about Nebraska, then FSU, then OSU, now Oregon. They all do the same thing... name their favorites early (their best offers) then they get more good offers and their favorites list changes to the highest profile schools, and then in the end 80% of them pick the highest profile school that wants them close to home. This kid is going to end up at Oregon, USC, or UCLA.
  23. Why do you guys think it is that we seem to get a lot of foot traffic on campus from skills players, but have very little from linemen? I've noticed a ton of Rivals 250 traction with WR's & DB's but much less from OLmen and DLmen. It concerns me that we seem to have such an emphasis on skills players but seem to not be equally as influential with the big guys. It concerns me because it doesn't matter how many top receivers we have if we don't have an Oline that can give a passing QB great protection and time to go through his progressions. If Lee or O'Brien can't get in rhythm because they feel pressure, it will shut down our offense and the WR's and RB check downs will be useless. On defense it concerns me because we need to get pressure on the QB and we need to run stuff we'll enough to free the DB's in space. Pelini always said great defenses started with the line. Banker said he built from the outside in. I just see a consistent number of DB's and WR's with us in play but it seems we can't generate that kind of traction with the linemen. Do you guys feel like that's concerning as well?
