  1. I can remember Aaron being our crowned jewel of the 2011 class when I first started following recruiting over a year ago. It feels really good to get the kid we have been ooh'ing and awe'ing over for such a long time. A great day to be a sker! Now lets sack Big Bro Gabs 10 times, pick him off 5, and beat Mizzou by 20 and call it a week to remember. AAAaaarrrooonnn's !!!!!
  2. Alright boys schools out, activities done, now its go time. Sorry I'm late but Owa watch was too fun last year for me to pass up Aaron watch!
  3. Wow..this board has become ridiculous in the last 24 hrs. Colleges are being thrown around like Baylor, Arkansas, and A&M. Why? I don't even know as fans why you would bring up random schools outside of his top 4 unless you have some ground breaking links and information to share, but I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say you don't. We have had several insiders on this board say that AG loves NU, and most coaches down in Texas say he's Nebraska bound. Now I understand not getting your hopes up to let them be dashed like Owa last year, but can we really compare the two? Aaron is basing his decision off faith and Owa based his off of his mom. Their recruiting processes aren't similar besides them both being high profile recruits who had Neb in their final selections. Let's say that AG goes elsewhere, I know the board will enter meltdown mode immediately, I mean we are 4 hrs away and it is already in magma, but I agree with the posters saying we can't rip on a kid who has went through the process this way. Also, instead of just throwing out random schools Aaron might commit to or saying that you don't think he is going to come here, we can concentrate those energies into finding out more info. Come on Husker bros. Don't fall into this trap. I love this bored but dang...
  4. It has begun!!! Let the next two days fly please!
  5. With Starling and Turner we will just have to create a new formation with 2 QB's back there. We'll figure it out.
  6. I didn't know about this DE. Sounds fantastic we made the final 4. Any word on an official?
  7. I see this as a good thing. Not too long ago we were saying that he said he will commit on a Sunday. He could be declining an interview because he has made his decision and doesn't want to let it get out till Sunday. Gotta be optimistic The Sunday you are referring to is last Sunday, 10/17/10. That turned out to be 100% untrue. We have a 1 in 7 chance of a commit on Sunday. It can be any one of the days of the week that he announces. Who ever said anything about 10/17/10? That was never actually said, only speculated. What Aaron said was, "Ok I think wen i commit to my college ima do it on a sunday:) jus talked to my dad about it....o yea its cumin soon guys." 10/17/10 was never mentioned. great now every sunday i gotta be on Aaron watch waiting if THIS is gonna be the sunday he committs...... So I suppose we should all just call a break now and reconvene next sunday then? Do we want to make it a 24 hr watch or just 7 a.m.-11:59 p.m. type of deal. I think there's a good chance he calls rivals to tell them around 4 in the morning so we better be prepared and do a whole 24 hr dealio.
  8. Agreed, unless Lincoln is that much fun. i still not have lost hope.......... Me either Huskerbros! Give up after one game that we handed to them? We lose AG and I'll be the first to say I am wrong, but I still have good thoughts flowing in the noggin.
  9. I would really hope so. However, he did say that he was going to make his commit on a Sunday. So we might have to wait till next Sunday... Well it better be next Sunday, because if Green was talking in riddles and really he just meant some random Sunday I am going to go crazy. I don't have the patience to go through many more Sundays after yesterday and waiting for a commitment all day long.
  10. Nebraska? Boring? How would you get that impression? We have so many cool things. Like...Chimney Rock! Who wouldn't want to come to a state that has Chimney Rock!
  11. And I too am disappointed by the graveyard of a huskerboard we have right now. I'm glad I wasn't on here during the Cally era. What did you guys talk about during the season besides decommitments? Chins up Skers. Lot of season left, and maybe we put too much into one game.
  12. Well, you have to think about the gameday experience being the main reason you bring recruits in. It was still an exciting game. The atmosphere was electric. They toured the facilities, met the coaches, talked to players, and then watched a sloppy but still exciting football game. Losing the game didn't help us, but there is a lot that goes into recruiting players. It was still a good showing. We might not have a slew of the best commitments ever committing in the next couple of days, but I still think we get a couple to sign because of the other elements to the game.
  13. watch him commit to Texas now Not even fun to joke about on this sorrowful day.
  14. You have got to think Grimble is looking around after this horrendous start. We were in his top 2. Looking at both programs, I think he will give us another look before it's all said and done.
  15. I agree. He is loving NU as well. Just spoke with him today. Good to hear! I hope he gets studly in the coming years.
  16. That games gonna be nuts! I hope the kids aren't disappointed when we smoke an unranked UT.
  17. Congrats aspeedlin! I would have to agree with you that this is most definitely the best Husker board out there. Lets get a big dubya tonight and come on here and talk about how cool we are!
  18. ok.. how much? 5 dolla. Seriously though I understand his brother plays for Nebraska which would seem like if he really liked us that much he would commit by now. People keep dismissing Texas because he wouldn't be the man there umm he won't be the man here either atleast no with Martinez, Burkhead, and Heard. I don't think lack of being the "Man" is the reason most of us dismiss UT as an option. I think their dismal running game, even with all the talented recruits they get over there, makes us think it is common sense for a RB to not go there. Plus, they have Malcolm Brown already. So now that's two 5* RB's competing for the ball from this class alone to go along with all the other talent they have stockpiled. That just doesn't make sense unless you consistently have more than one 100 yd rusher (like Nebraska, minus SDSU game...) Here's some stats to back up what recruits are seeing from UT's running game. Vs. OU 107 Rush yds. Vs. UCLA 85 Rush yds. Vs. Texas Tech 93 Rush yds. Vs. Wyoming 167 Rush yds. Vs. Rice 197 Rush yds. Here are the same version of Nebraska's stats: Vs. SDSU 205 Rush yds. Vs. Washington 383 Rush yds. Vs. Idaho 360 Rush yds. Vs. WKU 289 Rush yds. Guard your expectations all you want, but I think AG would be insane to not come here.
  19. Says the man with the picture that looks like a kid taking it to a blow up doll.
  20. Even after their pathetic running game and horrid loss at home to a bad UCLA team that K-st. even beat? I'm not worried. If Green commits there then he is a fool, and I don't think A-Green is a fool! He's the opposite. A Non-Fool!
  21. If we get AG this is true. Can you think about going green-less and missing out on Standard too? That is a scary thought.
  22. Any recruits that visited Washington last weekend that might have noticed our domination and inquired a little more into the skers?
