  1. I don't think this is as big of a deal as it's made out to be. Unless we've recruited a lot of really smart guys recently. I'm sure how much there is to learn varies by position but McMullen, Valentine, Collins, Maurice, Banderas, Rose, Alexander, Gerry, Kalu, Williams and Jones have all played as true or redshirt freshmen the last two years plus Cockrell in his first year here. Every one of those players is out of necessity thou. Bo's history suggests he plays the guys with system knowledge over athleticism. It's the reason Thad Randall would always play last year, Pelini this year, even thou the replacements are clearly better, they make less mental mistakes so they play. We had no senior dline so Bo was forced to play them, same could be said about the whole defense. His history says he plays guys like Lance Thorell instead of CJ because he knew the system better. This year its Pelini because he's smart and knows the system, even thou he gets knocked on his butt half the snaps. Nickle is loaded. Cockrell will be a senior, CJ a junior and Kalu a Sophomore. Saftey and corner equally as loaded with the 15 class coming in. A guy this talented will want to play early. He's an early enrollee, so a pitch to play WR as a freshman is very plausible as we need some help there. We already have three DBs enrolling early as well.
  2. I guess MSU burnt some bridges with him a while back. Don't think he'll be going there. It depends on what position we are looking at him for. If it's WR we can offer immediate playing time. Could be an awesome nickle but we are stacked there so he wouldn't see the field for a while. We all know Bo covets system knowledge over athleticism, unless your super smart like Kalu and pick it up quick you ain't playing for a couple years. He has a good relationship with coach Kaz. Visit could blow him away, never really know. I'm sure OSU will get him thou.
  3. Sounds like he's visiting for the Minnesota game.
  4. I think he was going to announce and then got asked by the local news to wait and announce with them. So ya, he would be a silent if he did indeed commit to us, which sounds like it did happen. Of course they don't want it out there to steal the kids thunder so it's not real clear. All signs point to N. Would be a big, big get. Really big.
  5. Ya pretty a sure were good here. 2 WR visiting today probably making him jump on board.
  6. Visiting this weekend. Tried to keep it quiet but it got leaked.
  7. 247 refuses to upgrade him IMO because he didn't go to any of their camps, he went to a lot of rivals camps. What's telling to me is; he does interviews with Callahan and Rivals quite a bit. He really hasn't done interviews with our 247 site. Maybe a txt here or there but nothing like Rivals. Rivals just did an interview with Bussey Sr a few weeks back and has never done that with 247. In fact I can't remember the last time they had an interview with Bussey, maybe after spring game or BRW? It's been a long time. Rivals has him rated higher as well. There's a mutual thing there with the Busseys and Rivals so I think 247 is being a bunch if political babies about it. It happens. If you are like me and have a Sub to one site and friends on the other that share info, you can really tell which recruits and parents like which service. It's a crime he's only a three star. 247 will eventually suck it up and give him his 4th IMO but he will still be underrated.
  8. The unofficial visits mean a lot more to me than the official visits, and it sounds like he's taken several of those to Nebraska. You don't keep coming back on your own dime unless you REALLY like what you see... If he makes it this weekend it will be his 4th unofficial
  9. He has actually told people in the program he wants to come back. He really loves Nebraska, and he knows that we're going to be a great defense next year with all the injured guys coming back. I dont think he actually comes back when the time comes to make a decision, but don't be completely shocked if he actually stays.
  10. Rumor has it, he may visit Tenn this weekend because he won't be able to make our early start.
  11. Does he stay after Mullen leaves when the season is over?True. Guessing Florida will take a run at Mullen
  12. He won't be playing in the NFL. He's to big of a vag box.
  13. Just to stomp this out before it happens. Rivals is reporting an LSU offer is coming but they spoke to his dad and he said he will not be going to LSU and he's 100% Husker. They even know he's going to be #22 here, have sweatshirts made ect. Like has been stated before, only way he leaves is if the staff gets fired. So let's have a little confidence and watch (what should be) our 5 star RB tear up LA and rack up the offers.
  14. Your sad. It's a step in the right direction with a young team that's only going to get better. You didn't think we were going to go from a decent team to NC contenders overnight did you? Most people can see what's going on. The best part is our oline recruiting has been top notch the last few classes and it's going to get better sooner than later, and that is our biggest issue holding this team back from being VERY good. That's also the best dline were going to see all year. Our defense played great and we return practically everybody. Wake up man. Do you remember how bad the dline was beginning of last year? Look at how good it's getting. You need to stop whining and look at what's going on. We're closer than ever.
  15. He had a great visit. Kept it close to the vest, but said he had a lot to think about. No other visits set up as of now, but I think we made up a lot of ground. Avery Anderson knows him pretty well so I think him "hosting" him helped.
  16. Bo better have learned his lesson from McNeese. Illinois can exploit our weaknesses. You cant game plan for one team the week your playing another team and expect your players to take the opponent seriously.Any evidence to the game planning for other teams as opposed to the one leading up? Just curious Fowler... Of course I don't have evidence. It happened thou. They worked on pass plays for Fresno during McNeese prep. Can't expect your players to take an opponent seriously if you don't. You can't go into a game with the game plan of "working on things" We passed a lot the first three games on purpose and Miami was so scared they played their safeties back all game, so that worked. Teams are definitely going to have to respect Tommy's arm, especially the good ones like MSU that won't want to risk a big pass play cheating on the run, in what should be a close game. Illinois however, they have nothing to lose. They better have LBers playing well or this is going to be a shoot out in the first half.
  17. We are the prime time ABC game. That's what matters. Need to show well thou.

  19. Valentine chewed his ass on the sideline before that play.
  20. Teams were loading the box to stop Ameer and taking big time chances with run blitzes. That's why you saw so many big plays on our part. Going forward you'll see defenses not taking as many chances thus fewer big plays. In turn you'll hear how much better our oline has gotten when in reality teams aren't going to load the box with 8 or 9 and the oline will be more successful. Ameer will get his 100. The olines not as bad as it's looked at times this season., they were just overloaded. Miami, and our big 10 foes will be playing us more straight up Tommy has proved he can hurt you enough with the deep ball they will have to play a little more honest or risk being quickly in a hole they can't climb back out of.
  21. He's coming for the Miami game his parents will take all officials with him.
