I hear they even get rolling sometimes and blowout the first-teamers...
That's because they're raw and haven't yet been exposed to the TB's oracle-like guidance.
Despite this oft-repeated claim, I've yet to see actual video evidence of it. I have, however, seen extensive visual proof of his players willing to play out of position, arm tackle, and seemingly quit once the tilt of a game turns against them.
That's a good point. We've seen Bo rip into JP, Cotton, Ganz. In fact, I'm convinced Ganz's only job to is to be on the field to be yelled at by Bo when we're on offense.. I can't think of one time Pelini has ever yelled at Ron Brown.
I think there are bigger fish to fry right now than attacking the schematics of the offense.
This all seems to start and end with preparation. The players look lost on the field and don't execute basic fundamentals. Why do we have guys on defense who still don't know how to tackle? Why do we have offensive lineman that are good for 5-6 penalties a game? Blocking and tackling are not scheme issues. No matter the scheme, if you cannot do either of those, you will not win.
not as comical has his biggest selling point is being a defensive genius.
I thought the best narrative was 'his players will run through a brick wall for him'
But apparently they will not get off blocks and finish tackles for him.
I think I would be extremely satisfied with 11-2, coupled with some staff shake-ups. Beck and Papuchis replaced by guys who have experience doing the job they've been hired to do with some success.
I think if we can all agree that our complaints are not personal....
don't you think there might be other humans that you can use your prayers on other than a wealthy, arrogant football coach who routinely verbally abuses people he comes across?
Comparing Sipple to any person who writes....be it a best-selling author, a sports writer, a guy that writes instruction brochures for airlines, a toddler who scribbles on walls with a marker....is just not fair to him.
I would hope that Bo realizes that when he consistently points out how bad of a tackling team we are...he is essentially calling out himself and his staff.
Systemic issues are the fault of the coaches. Not the players and not the circumstances.
