  1. They're saying the same thing about playing Nebraska.
  2. I've refrained from making this comparison.... Until now.
  3. I'm sure he'll blame the media for ripping the team and the crowd for not cheering while the team was being destroyed.
  4. Let's go O. Let's get a steady run game, with some safe passes and see what happens when we don't turn it over.
  5. I didn't think we'd be trying to keep pace with the vaunted Ohio St. offense.
  6. The D looks very poorly coached. Everyone bites on the play side, and they whip it back....TD!!! Two drives. Two scores by a team whose own fans didn't think they'd hit double digits the whole game.
  7. Defensive line is not getting much of a push. And looked very undisciplined on that QB keeper cutback earlier. This was supposed to be the strength of the D
  8. Cassidy had a chance to finally make a play this year and drops it. C'mon D!! Someone make a f'ing play!!
  9. Wow this thread really took a turn for the worse. Pretty pathetic of you Nebula to bring this crap into my thread. Ron Brown is one the best coaches ever to coach at Nebraska. He is a man of outstanding character. Just because you don't agree with his religious beliefs doesn't give you a right to come in here and bash him. You should be banned for bringing this up like this. No he shouldn't, way to overreact guy. That's, just like, your opinion man Am I wrong? Calmer than you are.
  10. What's always great is that we all forget about it when it doesn't come to fruition. But on the off chance it does, the guys spouts off like he's a goddamn witch for making such a bold prediction.
  11. Fill up my cup...drink. MAZEL TOV!!
  12. It's not that the secondary is getting beat, it's how they're being beat. They're not being physical at all at the line. Receivers are being allowed to dance around without having a hand laid on them. That being said, I'm prepared to be patient with the secondary. And let's not forget that we're in a base 4-3 much of the time, instead of basically being in the dime the entire game like we were in the Big XII.
  13. It's an editorial piece. Presenting an opinion IS rule #1 in writing an editorial.
  14. You don't see the difference here? Admitting your quarterback has some issues without spewing venom at the fans and media would be the right way to behave. Screaming like a lunatic at your freshman QB on the sidelines while the nation watches is in a different ballpark.
  15. Henerey over Brown as PK Suh over anyone on the interior line. Why is it implied that Wistrom is playing DT? Tyrone Williams over Michael Booker Terrel Farley at LB Hate to say it, but I'd also take LP over Roger Craig at RB
  16. I was going to say that a pass play does not work when Martinez is QB, but he's gotten enough venom this week. A downfield passing play does not work when a throw and catch is not executed. There are numerous reasons for this not happening: poor pass protection, poor throw, poor read, drop.... The heat is on Beck because his QB has not exhibited the ability to read and throw particularly well. If Joe Ganz had 8 years of eligibility and threw those picks on Saturday night in the exact same situation, we'd be all over Ganz about how he wasn't accurate and wasn't making his reads, because he HAS shown the ability to do those things, which would warrant an OC to put confidence in him throwing the football down the field. You wouldn't be criticizing Beck for putting a good throwing QB in favorable passing situations with open receivers.
  17. Oh well. If NU wants people to stop talking, the team needs to start coming up big in big games.
  18. I agree with this. We were probably destined for a 2 score loss, but it really got out of hand with the turnover stretch between 2nd and 3rd quarters, coupled with a poor defense quitting by their own admission. We're not in UW's class, but that game snowballed a bit.
