  1. Let's do this. How many -1's am I going to get for this post?
  2. Disappointment? Huh? North I can understand...
  3. We're going to start a KSU player at QB? That's Zac "leader of the 10 win skers" Lee.
  4. Yup, he'll be welcomed with open arms. I have a question for you guys though. Mangino was a pretty decent coach. Will Turner do well there, or if not how long will he last?
  5. 14-0 GOOD LORD! This is me pushing my chips all in right now
  6. I think we've got some questions at safety. I agree though with the OP. Our DBs did such a good job of coming up and sticking the receiver before they could get any YAC, which is huge against the BIG12 spread. Sure we lost our two starters. But we dont have questions about being able to replace the ones we lost, just who will do it. Bo Pelini's forte is safties and corners. I am not at all worried about finding two servicable safties to play next year. So who do you think will lead the way at the safety positions when spring ball starts up? I'm thinking PJ Smith & Thenarse. And I think Haag would also do quite well in that role. It's really a tough call at this point. That's partly why I think it's such a huge question, probably our biggest defensively. It will pry be Eric "Go for the Head" Hagg, and PJ Smith, but I could see one of the corners stepping in and taking PJ Smiths spot. To me it's never really seemed like Thenarse has fit at safety. I could see him playing that Hybrid OLB position next year.
  7. I've kind of mentioned this on a couple of other forums, but is anyone else sick and tired of BIG10 network aka ESPN showing a terrible BIG 10 game every Saturday when there are way better games being played? Purdue-Northwestern comes to mind. JEEZ! It's ridiculous! I remember, 2 years ago, having to watch that game when Nebraska was playing a decent north rival like Mizzou or something. I remember thinking, hell I'd settle for a good game right now! Show me an SEC game, at least. The BIG 10 hasn't been good in 10 years.
  8. +1 for the bolded because it made me laugh. -Throw the bones every chance you get
  9. We haven't gotten to that stage yet, thankfully. We're still dealing with Noggin, which is a whole 'nother mess of stuff to annoy a person. That isn't much fun either. What really makes it hard is that my daughter is so sensitive that it almost breaks her heart if you tell her to please shut it off. I think in her mind, if you don't like her music you must not like her. Women! Perfectly understandable. I'm now thinking I should've taken a kinder gentler stance on Elvira for the new guys sake. I just listened to my first clip of Justin Beiber. OMG! That's even worse than those Kids Bop commercials they play on the cartoon channels. Can we not use this stuff to fight terrorists? Hey, I didn't take any offense. I don't really give a sh*t if anyone bashes me. In THAT case. I'm proud to say I've never listened to a song by Alabama all the way through. That's a shame. They're good, almost as good as Skynyrd. The best songs I can think of: Song of the South, High Cotton, Dixieland Delight, 40 Hour Week, Mountain Music... Listening to too many of their songs in a row though can make you sick. You've got to throw in some Texas country.
  10. Yeah, CU isn't all that unrealistic. I'm betting the Big 12 would just add TCU if any one team left.
  11. I thought the same thing about this years class until I began to hear recruits explain why they picked a school after signing day. Almost everyone mentions their relationship with the coaches almost imediately. That relationship is something built over an entire year. By the time our last 7 games came around, and Suh was getting all the hype we were only a few months away from signing day. It provided a huge boost, and kept us in on Owa...probably landed Cooper but didn't have much of an affect outside of the few recruits that were undecided due to a coaching changes or turmoil at their original schools. If we aren't in on the recruit early and often, we have a limited chance of gaining the commit IMHO. I'd say 3 out of 4 of our recruits will come from kids we've offered or showed interest in prior to April 1st. Outside of coaching changes at a recruit's top choice or a National Championship, success on the field this year won't have nearly as big of an affect on this year's class as the success on the field last year. (see florida) Like you, I think this will be the season where we really see last years success on the field, translate into success recruiting. That's what I've been saying too. With a full year with this rep, I fully expect us to have a top 15 class (top 5 D).

  14. I can't speak for my uncle, but around here it's generally accepted that the Big 10 and Pac 10 are really overrated because of their media bases.
  15. I guess the game that's fresh in my memory in the MU-Navy game. Navy is not exactly a passing team. As far as handling our offense, so did ISU. That's just not impressive to me. Again, this is nothing against MU. I'd say the huskers were even more soft 04-07. There's nothing for me to hate about Mizzou. Believe me, I don't hate you guys.
  16. Tickets are very hard to get for Husker Home games because of the Home sell-out streak. I know alot of Huskers that have season tickets, but live out of state and commute back for games. I would be preaching to the choir if I tried explaining why Nebraska travels so well. We JUST DO IT!! The first time I went to skers away game was the Holiday Bowl, and I was just really surprised at how many more husker fans were there, seeing as how AZ is right next to CA.
  17. Nice pick with TAM. I'm starting to think I should've put them higher in my rankings too. I can't remember the last time we beat them soundly with the 12th man on their side. They have one of the Big 12's premier QBs (just as Texas) & they're tough at home anyway. No doubt we'll have our hands full, even with a stout D. Good point. I pry should've moved them ahead of KSU and Udub
  18. NU v. Kstate is the only north game that comes close to worrying me Now that is confidence. I actually think this game worried me more before it was scheduled for ESPN's Thursday night game. KSU can be a tough place to play, & they will make you pay if you're not totally focused. Now that it's the premier game on a Thrs, a night on which NU has never lost a road game, I think we'll come out guns blazin' & handle KSU knowing they will be one of our division's best. Within the division, I'm much more concerned about Mizzou. The biggest advantage obviously is that the game is in Lincoln & with how much Husker fans have come to hate the TigerTears recently, it's gonna rowdy loud. However, this game comes at the tail end of a tough stretch of games at midseason (@KSU, Texas, @OSU), and MU is no slouch at that point. I'm just sayin... I don't want to bash Mizzou on the internet, so I'm not gonna throw it in here, but even my uncle from Missoura thinks they'd do better in the BIG 10. It's not out of hate. I just think they're soft. I couldn't help myself. They got worse as the season went on too. Kstate though is gonna become a huge north rival again with Snyder in there. I'm excited. We haven't had one for a long time.
  19. So it's gonna be the Big 12 Title Game of the Century eh? I like the sound of that. I hope so. I just think OU has a good shot at taking the south. They really improved from Bradford's injury to the bowl game.
  20. We might have a chance with his offers list ...
