That reminds me of the Futurama episode where Bender adopts a bunch of kids to get a bunch of stipends from the government

Thanks for the clarification @knapplc and @deedsker - I can see that now -
I disagree wt the diagnosis in the 'cartoon'.
I'm not a fan of budget destroying spending as @ActualCornHusker mentions notes as well. However, the current situation is fully in the hands of the GOP. A GOP Senate (and previously controlled house) and a president that voted in a unneeded tax cut that had a temporary boast but has faded and has primarily enriched the fat cats. We have a president who is going it alone on too many fronts to name and who stirs up division at every opportunity. I'd say right now Trump and party are doing a pretty good job of driving that car off the cliff. Trillion $$ deficits and we aren't even in a hot war. So excuse for that type of reckless spending. And they call themselves conservative
Well in the meme, the GOP is the one driving the car off the cliff.

Why are Republicans always looking for ways to exonerate the Russians?
Oh I don't know, Devin, maybe because they were being investigated. Smart people usually hang low while that happens and definitely don't keep doing the thing they're being investigated for

A healthy reminder! I talk about this stuff here, because politics is toxic and I hate discussing it with friends and family. I'd much rather fight with you guys, and have fun with the people I love.
So you don't love us? Ouch, that hurts man

MIke Bloomberg is supposedly lobbying Hillary Clinton to be his running mate.
Thoughts?
I have one. How much more of a train wreck can the Democrats make of this election?
Sounds like a death wish

And, here we are.
I'm pretty sure "off the record" means what you say, not how you say it. And I don't think the "basic rules of journalism and decency" applies when you are berating and insulting the journalist. But what do I know?

Hasn't the only time he's been CB has been at Nebraska? And on top of that his first two years were under Riley's amazingness? I can see why scouts are saying he lacks ball awareness. He's still fairly raw as a corner, but has the size and athleticism they like.

I'm still just flabbergasted when it's put on display so flagrantly.
His base are the same people who posted on facebook when Trump was elected that God was going to be in the White House again. They don't want separation of Church and state because they're religion is the one that's being conjoined.

Well hes an idiot, but I don't see how killing the top general of your biggest ally in the region would make Russia happy.
Maybe Russia wanted him gone and had us do the dirty work so they could keep their hands clean?

There are mentally ill people all over the world.
There aren't gun massacres all over the world.
It's not mental illness. Stop believing the propaganda.
Most of the rest of the world also has better/universal healthcare

Frost is on record saying he wanted to mix Oregon speed with Husker Power, so it sounds like he and Cristobal have similar mentalities.

Can't forget the throat slash at OU IIRC. That might have also been the F'in Hillbillies quote. Burning boats and slashing throats.......
He did have some good quotes "Restore the Order" and did recruit well......
Don't forget the "Pound the Rock" rock that Frost got rid of

It would depend on the context but most of the time I would assume they are saying ok
I agree. I just fear that people will accuse anyone who uses the sign without knowing the context. That will just divide the country even more than we already are.

The issue I'm having is people saying only known white supremacists can use the sign in a racist way. If the person isn't already known to be a white supremacists then the symbol isn't racist is the argument I disagree with. I think people can be racist and use the symbol in a racist way even if we didn't know that they were racist before.
So you see a random person giving the ok sign, do you assume he's a racist, or do you give him the benefit of the doubt?

I would love for white supremacists to start using/co-opting a 'throw the bones' symbol and a Go Big Red chant to see the way people would bend over backwards with a change of heart about the impact and importance (or lackthereof) of some tiny but loud nasty people trolling society with symbols.
There is a gang in California that uses the Nebraska logo as it's symbol. So that must mean that everyone who wears Nebraska gear is a gangster.

Agree, actually let me add to that. I want more jacka$$ opinions on how Washington and Nebraska should part ways, and how JD is transferring. I am actually considering approaching Huskerboard to create a customization that fines me $10 every time on click on these two threads, because I seem to be not to be smart enough to not open them.
I'm sure we could figure something out

I do get what @Redux is saying and I can't really say I disagree. By always pointing it out when someone does it, it gives it relevance. We are giving them a platform for free. Remember what people would say if someone was picking on you, or if you know someone is an obvious troll on a social media site. Just ignore them, right? Or in other words . The only reason they do it is to trigger people and get a reaction. By bringing it to light, you are adding fuel to the fire and just making the flame bigger.

This could just be my ignorance showing here, but I've always seen the circle game being used with an upside down ok sign (like what happened here) and never seen the WP gesture being used upside down. So whenever I see it like that, I instantly think of the circle game.

Yes I said it back a couple pages. If Trump really didn't want to help Ukraine he would threaten to/actually veto the law.
The bill passed both the House and Senate with a supermajority of the vote. So even if he vetoed, Congress could override it.
