  1. Schedule looks great, but the TTU game is in Lincoln this year, not Lubbock...
  2. Love their fries and their chicken sandwhich... But that dude freaks me the F*** out, everytime I see him.

    2 way guys

I perfer boys to girls. But i still have to admit that i did kiss a girl. I was....strange....that night. I've seen it happen once when two girls who were friends of mine had been drinking... Weird for them, sweet for me and the other dude there. Best night of my life.
  4. Sweet, maybe they can put together a Final Four run this year!
  5. I follow the Jets almost as religiously as the Huskers, and I can say with certainty that Josh Davis is no longer with the team. Which is kinda surprising considering how high on him they were as a KR before he got injured last year.

    2 way guys

Sorry, I don't dig guys that go both ways. Now, chicks that go both ways... That's a whole 'nother story.
  7. Dude, thats heresy. I'd kill for some Val's pizza and lasange about now.
  8. Ever had DaVinci's in Lincoln? Now that pizza is crappy! Soooo greasy. And slow.
  9. Duh. For some reason I was thinking Todd's first name was Zane rather than Dane...
  10. There used to be a Mexican resteraunt called La Fonda on Center St near Office Depot. Now this has been a few years ago, so I don't know if it is still there. I remember it being pretty good at the time.
  11. I love my dog, and if I could have 2 more of him, I would. But the wife and I have long agreed that getting a dog at the pound is the cheapest and most humane way to go.
  12. I didn't read the whole article, but here is my $0.02 Doctors are humans and humans make mistakes. If you think about how many doctors there are in the USA, thats less than one deadly mistake per doctor per year. Not bad. The other problem being with insurance companies and HMOs hampering doctors by controlling the amounts of tests that are run on a patient.
  13. I am native (Scribner) Nebraskan and love Val's! My wife is, believe it or not, from the island of Bermuda. She loves Val's more than I do.
  14. Which ZT are you talking about? Todd or Taylor? Because Todd's guns are friggin huge.
  15. Oh, I love Val's pizza. That stuff is the best, and I'd choose that over a dog or a Runza any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
  16. http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/sport...ts/12326583.htm Interesting arcticle commenting on the difficulty in calling a play for the Nebraska offense. Hopefully Taylor has a good understanding of the verbiage so that we don't take too many delay of games.
  17. Well, in the mid to late 90s, there was a arms race of sort as far as teams putting big time money into their football facilities. Bill Byrne did not do this (Save for skyboxes which I doubt recruits give two craps about), and it hurt our recruiting. Look at Osborne's last few years and see how many RBs he recruited that are now in the NFL. Ahman Green and Correll Buckhalter. Ahman was from Omaha, so that recruit was not hard to get. But lets also remember that recruiting is an inexact science to say the least. We are all assuming that Marlon Lucky and Leon Jackson will be as good as advertised, when truly we have no idea how they will turn out. They could be like DeAngelo Evans and come down with a severe case of wussitis. Look at Josh Davis. He was rated around #10 by Rivals as a RB coming out of high school. Thunder Collins was highly rated coming out of JUCO, but didn't do a whole lot either. Antwan Guirdry was a highly rated RB/DB recruit who never made it out of JUCO. David Horne was a 4* #6 rated RB recruit who didn't have the toughness to play DI football, but was clearly labeled a "big time RB recruit" at the time. On the flip side of that, Cory Ross was not even listed as a RB when he was being recruited, but rather as a DB. And he's turned out to be pretty darn good.
  18. You might be surprised at how good Wake Forest is. Their record was 4-7, but they lost to Clemson by 7 (2ot), NC State by 6, Va Tech by 7, FSU by 3, UNC by 7, and Maryland by 6. So in each of their losses (other than Miami, 52-7), they were close and easily could have won. We cannot take them lightly. We should be able to handle them, but it'll be closer than most think. And I doubt Taylor will crap his pants against Pitt. They have a really good QB, but I'm not sure how good the Pitt Defense is.
  19. Why is God's name would you put Grixby and Bowman on the same side? Is Tierre really good enough to force Bowman into a backup spot? I've been thinking the same thing. Bowman and Grixby on one side with Green and Wilson on the other. I'm not sure what the logic behind this is, other than to assume that the coaches love this Beach Boy turned football player.
  20. Benson for sure has yet to sign with the Bears and will not play. I'm not sure if Ronnie Brown has signed yet, or not.
  21. I just love being in Lincoln and on campus on gameday. The entire town has a exciting feel to it on football Saturdays. When I was still in school, we'd get up around 10 AM and have a few beers and burgers, depending on kickoff time. Those 11AM kickoffs were huge killers for a guy with a hangover. We'd head to campus and the stadium a few hours before kickoff and just be around all of the people and take in the excitement. After the game, we'd celebrate the victory (only one loss at home during my tenure) and drink the night away. I really, really miss being in Lincoln. There is nothing like it.
  22. Don't get worked up about CFN.com. Most of those guys don't know their elbows from their you-know-whats. It's just space filler until the season starts.
  23. I love the Fairbury Dogs. Never did like Runza sandwhiches or overstuffed sandwhiches, whatever they call it now. I do love Runza's burgers, however.
  24. Good call! If they offered me free beer, I'd go! (Granted, I'd root for the other team, but I'd go!)
  25. Yes, FSU actually has written approval from at least one Seminole tribe to use the tribe name as a mascot.
