Ya because every Republican was on board the Trump train right before he won the presidency right?

You're diverting the discussion. If Democrats and Republicans both paid for it doesn't it undermine aspects of the memo that the DNC paid for this and therefore we can't count on it?

If you're saying that only Republicans who didn't like trump paid for it, there's a burden of proof that you need to give.

If you're operating under the assumption that only people who are for Trump can conduct this investigating, we need to factor in that it is possible the results of this investigation will turn them against Trump. Therefore you're at a logical tautology that doesn't work.

I encourage you to look into some of Michael Shermers BS detection device work.

This to me is the oddest part of the whole thing. They're saying that Steele was biased by citing a quote from him after he compiled his information.

To translate that from Steele's point of view: I have evidence that I believe. That evidence suggests that Trump is heavily under the influence of Russia. I really do don't want him to be in office.

That seems like a good bias to have. Am I missing something?

What are the Cliff's Notes version of what you posted?

Sorry, academic setting gives me access. A research group with access to a federal database conducted an analysis (logistic regression) to determine the impact of citizenship on the likelihood of disproportionate arrest for federal drug and violent crimes along the US Mexico border (presumably a location for a high level of non-citizens). In arrests for homicide, assault, robbery, and weapons offenses, US citizens were disproportionately more likely than non-citizens to be arrested. The only area this trend reversed was for marijuana offenses.

If we equate being arrested with guilt, this suggests that Americans are more likely to engage in violent crimes in proportion to the total population they represent.

The reason I posted this is that many people make statements without showing where the data come from. I like to back up those statements with facts and data. It's a bit of a parallel statement to what was in the tweets, but we just had a whole bunch of hateful rhetoric posted around our campus, so it feels relevant to me.

Remember the time that guy yelled "You LIE!" at Obama. Boy, that was something.

Anyway, didn't listen to a lick of this deal, but I see Trump is busy spreading misinformation about immigrants again. The scapegoating of the immigrant looking to come to America is truly one of the saddest aspects of the Trump presidency. I didn't realize how fully the GOP would buy in to his hardline rhetoric.

Remember, Trump & people like him (looking at you, Scott Walker...) cannot pass their agendas unless they cloak them in massive ignorance & hope people don't notice while they sneak them by.

Ha - I'm in this same boat. I'm going to settle on something like a personalized scotch glass or beer mug but, the truth of the matter is, just about every groomsman gift I've ever received has sat unused.

Same. If either of you were the reason I didn't get my first choice photographer in Lincoln I'm going to be pissed.

Wiltfong just stopped by 247 set the record straight: OSU wanted this kid, bad. We just actually won out here. Wisky and A&M also really wanted involved.

Feels good to have hope about outright winning these recruiting battles. I think a respectable record next year could make for a pretty amazing recruiting class.
