  1. How did that Oregon High octane offense fair against a big 10 defense in the Rose Bowl? HAHA you mean the one with Masoli and Blount? and not with Huff, Barner(he became a superstar this past year), and Thomas with James? yeah good one. plus you're talking about Ohio St. which i mentioned being the big dog who can have games like that. and that game had a lot to do with Oregon's D as well. that was Pryors best game but did he do that last year? i dont think he did. plus Oregon's O is even better now than it was then.
  2. ok well in that case you are right. but in the end, who has the crystal balls? nebraska is molding itself into being a top team. best Defense's? SEC. Best O? Oregon. big 12. big ten has some good teams in the middle of the pack. but man the SEC is getting LSU, Florida, Auburn, Alabama to win it all. honestly i think your numbers might be the big ten beating vandy and kentucky lol. because their top four beats ours. cause despite those stats, how often do they play and what teams are playing? cause if they played consistently, i believe those numbers would be different. now im just saying because i havent looked up what those match ups were.
  3. look i dont want to disrespect wisconsin or our new opponents. But to compare those teams with One team who has been dominating this conference forever is not right. Ohio St is the big boy. and the rest know it. so when the best got put out there, Sec whooped their a$$. the game wont be easy and yes we have some guys to replace as well. but im way more confident than most. Wisconsin will still put up big numbers next year and still be good. but im focusing on them vs us and next year, we have the clear advantage.
  4. My reason for this rant is simple. We are going into the big ten because we fit the culture, tradition, money is better, academics, and texas is not in it. But as far as what we put on the field is completely different. Nebraska will never be a Big 10 type team. Bo knows what wins and thats physicality, fundamentals, and speed. just look at who we're recruiting, we fit an SEC mold on D and heading towards a Oregon/ high octane big 12 O. Bo knows this style has been the thorn in the big 10's back. always has been. always will be. Just open your eyes and see what the coaches are telling you. We are going to dictate!. Our D dictates our opponents. We're shaping our O to dictate just like them. We're putting the speed on the field. We're going to be fast paced. when it gets to that point, forget your schemes boys, its all about who's faster and who's better. right now nebraska is winning that battle.
  5. well my bad, let me make better sense of it, When it comes to top teams going at it in big games, Sec prevails, we are a top team in the big ten with a top D. so yes i stick by that. If the Sec had troubles it was because their lack of O. Am I underestimating them? prob but to be a timid little girl about them is something im not. no offense but i think some people give too much respect, and act a little soft, and need to go in with the mindset that we will beat everyone because considering what Nebraska has and who we're playing, its not impossible. A team that lost their starting QB who helped taking them to the Rose Bowl in my opinion is a huge blow. and as far as them not trying to run. TCU was getting in the backfield and making stops at times as well. Their linebackers were flying all over the place. second if they try pulling that again on us. game over. Wisconsin is not going to beat us just running and not going to beat us abandoning it and passing. especially not being as strong as last year.
  6. Oh and if they think that they're gonna be ok just running the ball and being one dimensional. not happening, Bo feasts on one dimensional teams. Our D is set up like a SEC's D. Who's been locking down Big 10 O's in the past ten years?? Sec Defense's. I rest my case Btw didnt TCU's D contain one of Wisconsin's best offenses in school history? ha. like i said, i like our chances this year.
  7. I honestly believe people are putting too much stock in our opponents. Will the schedule be easy? no. no schedule is unless you're TCU or BSU. But it was just two years ago when the Big Ten was mediocre. They had two surprise teams in Wisconsin and Michigan St. and from what I'm seeing both lost a lot. So far the conference has been inconsistent in the past couple years with some teams going up and down every year. It was two years ago that Wisconsin's head coach was on the hot seat. but ill focus on Wisconsin since thats the first team we play in the big 10. we go there so they have that going for them but honestly, nebraska plays better away anyways so i could care less on venue. second if they can't get their Qb issues straightened out, they more than likely wont win. Reason being, Our D will be the best Unit of the Big Ten. Ill take it against any offense in that conference and say its better than Ohio St's D. and as far as our O. Wisconsin isn't exactly boasting a great D either. Our offense is going to be better than last years. I say that because it cant be any worse than the past two years and there is going to be so many playmakers, plus a QB who can outrun anybody on their team. Optimistic on the O? maybe but if its going to be simple and attacking D's ill take our talent over the Big 10s any day of the week. we also get a lot of time to work on the O before the game and get guys going. I just don't think its going to be as tough as everyone makes it. i see our setbacks being, understanding of the O and injuries. other than that, No more watson and gilmore wasting our talent.
  8. Tmart, Heard & Green will be one damn fast backfield. That's for sure. I don't know if it'll be the fastest in the nation but if not it's gotta be very, very close. don't forget..bell, abdullah, baptiste, reed who is prob the fastest TE. ok lets make it a little less bold, Easily the fastest team in the big ten. duh right and jamal turner. and if L. Ward can get some time at the H back. idk, either way we will be dynamic
  9. I'm going to go on record and say if nebraska puts all their best athletes on the field at once on O. they will be the fastest team in the nation..I say this because of one determining factor that gives them the edge....QB. and when i mean fast i mean foot speed, not tempo
  10. i think its safe to say what Beck and Bo are doing is taking all their athletes and putting them in every position to succeed. The one team who uses everyone they recruit is oregon. Nebraska knows they cannot waste talent anymore, if you can get guys like Currenski and L. Ward going, they will be that much more potent and deadly. it will also make this offensive transition a whole lot easier.
  11. well im sure one thing that was noted was currenki's build. he's got extrememly thick legs and is built low. honestly two years ago i wouldve liked this move. But it is spring and they are maybe experimenting with him. don't be surprised to see him back at wr in the fall or even late spring. as far as jamal. I wish he could be our qb down the road because of his leadership skills but i'm willing to see him play at his best. remember, this is spring, nothing is set in stone
  12. Nothing too big here but does it seem like whenever nebraska extends and offer to someone, U$C is always the next team to extend one. I think Monte has made an effort to target the same players, especially on D because of Bo's eye for talent. I'm sure he is also aware of the Nebraska way on molding 3 star players
  13. I was thinking more along the lines of a Noel Devine type back. But, I would take a Dexter McCluster too. I see Devine too aspeedlin, I think it is the hair. Boy talk about one of the sickest highlight videos I have EVER layed eyes on, too bad NU had higher academic standards then WVU back then. Everyone swore he would not qualify and he did just enough to slide into Morgantown. Well my reasoning is that he's the same size as Dexter and has the same burst. Only issue with the Noel comparison is that Noel has tremendous top end speed, which ameer and dexter did not posses (although they were fast). Idk, watch more tape and tell me. Dexter fit the small back roll but was more elusive then just pure speed. either player would be nice though.
  14. After watching his tape, i couldn't help but think of Dexter Mccluster.
  15. LaRon Landry, Craig Steltz and Chevis Jackson all say what's up. Two first team All Americans all drafted. Bo had some bad ass seconaries at LSU. yeah despite Dorsey, their secondary at LSU might've been their strongest unit of the team. Look, Marvin is great and will be missed. But everything goes through Bo and what he wants. I'm sure Raymond will ease in nicely since he knows Bo's philosophy.
  16. I think you have to take whats best for your program..Jason Phillips=good offense but no ties to neb, or Scott Frost, young but bleeds red and has been under some of the greatest minds in all of football and has been under the best offensive minded coach in college football for a few years. Scott can recruit with the best of them and thats much needed here. Whats better than positive results and loyalty? Oh and if Scott does come, he can always be the "coach in waiting" if bo decides to depart for some reason. just throwing stuff out there.
  17. I got to be honest with you guys, im extremely excited about this. I hate to lose Marvin but if Raymond is as good as advertised and can recruit then I'm happy. If Wats and Happy Gimore are really gone(they are) then i can only get really excited because I'm gonna put money on Scott Frost or Jason Phillips running a better spread offense in one year of installation then wats and gil with 5 years of prep. that excites me because an offense at Nebraska makes us at least top 5 year in and year out. plus! if it turns out the way we want it, then we can finally be Everything U because we are turning the corner in elite recruiting. oh and we can also get a WR now. i know, too much kool aid. only thing that scares me........Barney (He can recruit though)
  18. Houston's Offensive Coordinator Jason Phillips and(or) Scott Frost?
  19. We're down two coaches.Raymond is ours and I hope the frost rumor is true
  20. Smoke? Fire? Maybe. That link also says Bo isn't there, either. We're down 3 coaches apparantly, the recruiting class is signed. Bo has other things to worry about like getting our staff back together.
  21. I saw him play multiple times, his listings were false, and wasn't a stand out at all..next
  22. what i like about his tape is that you can see that he was too fast for not only the competition but his own teammates. the blocking wasn't that great because he was already in the second level by the time the ball was snapped. He also is a good looking athlete. His speed will improve even more when he trains properly
  23. The news finally became public. Dontraveyous Robinson is transferring to Montana St. His former qb teammate from HS goes there. I'm sure that is why we are recruiting for a second back
  24. He is the new target. I like that they are getting another back in this class, i think they needed more despite Braylon coming and maybe this is a sign of braylon possibly not coming, who knows. either way, he's an alabama boy and i like it. He will be visiting USC two weeks later Correction. Im sure this has much to do with the loss of Dontraveyous Robinson.
