  1. On my dads side they say they came to America, so one day can watch the Huskers on tv every weekend. Now even though they are fans. I bet it was more they were chased out of Germany by their neighbors. While others packed for them. On my moms side i never really found out when they made the trip from England. I have found out I'm related to Camila Parker Bowles who is married to Prince Charles. But quickly was disowned by the family when we didn't get our wedding invites. But on my moms dad side, knowing how the family is. I'd say they just made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up on a boat. On moms mother side they were already here and making fun of Christopher Columbus. As that side is Native American.
  2. Unfortunately that tradition went the way of natural grass, and a lack of rock music in the stadium. The helmets are now painted by some industrial technology. (allegedly Pitt threatened not to schedule us in the future because they couldn't wash the gold out of Larry Fitzgerald's jersey after numerous drives into the ground) Well that sucks cause that was a great tradition. As for Pitt i would of told them to get better blocking or better detergent.
  3. For me, all the TV shows have to be taken with the caution: Ratings keep shows on the air. IF they portrayed Ghost Hunting in a realistic way, nobody would watch. The dirty secret of ghost hunting is that it can be incredibly boring. Most the time nothing is happening. They really spice the shows up. The GA crews intentions are probably good but so many times they make things out to be evil for no reason whatsoever. LiKe at Villisca, they spent a majority of the episode looking for the murderers ghost. Hes not there, but they would tell you differently. Another thing is they try to piss the spirits off. Thats a huge no no in most cases. If a resident is already scared your job is to help them, not make it worse then leave Exactly. I bet thats why you see the GA crew do more investigations in abandoned places with the occasional business. They rarely investigate homes any more.
  4. in a way the Ghost Adventures guys are the bad type of investigators. They go in trying to proove this is real, instead of really trying to help the clients. Seeing has how we only see a hour of their entire stay there I could be wrong. Where as the Ghost hunters on syfy they try and help the clients first by debunking everything. Or at least they use to before Syfy pressured them into suposedly faking evidence to draw in viewers. The investigators go into those shows to educate people about these types of events. The channel goes into it for viewers and money. Eventually they get pressured into more drama and evidence to generate the viewers. Thats why when you watch them over time it's like their mentality switches and more evidence is found. These shows are great for 1 thing and that is entertainment. Is there truth to the evidence they find yes. I've had similar experiences they did in the Villisca Axe Murder house. But do you find evidence at every location you go and research. Absolutely not anyone that says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.
  5. the only way to know that is finding the vin number and do some research. But I wouldn't doubt that James was the first owner of it.
  6. i've never heard of that story before. But just googled it, fascinating story.
  7. They don't. Not usually, no. More likely something attached to an individual than a location. Even more likely that it's explainable. But it's not impossible. How do you mean? I would guess he means if a ghost was to attach itself to someone or something. I'm sure there are theories out there as to how/why this happens? Yes there are stories of kids loving a certain toy, then died tragically. Because they were so attachec to the toy or put so much energy into it. The house the toy is in can become haunted. From what it seems theres a decent size market for vintage toys or antiques. So buying one of these items could cause a new home to be come haunted. Due to western expansion, wars between Native Americans, outlaws on the run, murders. Due to those reasons theres countless areas where people have died that their spirit could still be lingering around. Build a house in one of those areas and guess what you now have more guests then you expected in the home. Or you can have a couple people playing with a ouija board. If you believe it could be a portal to the otherside then you could invite in spirits that won't leave. Similar to the movie exorcist. Which is suposable a true story about a house in Missouri. Those are just some possible reasons on why a brand new or really any home could become haunted. Just because your hear some noises. Such as mentioned earlier the old hollywood cliche chains rattling in the basement. Doesn't mean your house is haunted. There can be natural causes to it. True investigators go in trying to prove the events have a natural cause. Because the overall goal is to find the truth, and to help people especially childred feel safe in their home. The only time anything should point out to evidence of a haunt is if you can not duplicate the effect by a natural way.
  8. I was hearing on the radio today. That the team didn't even leave Joliet Illinois till around 11 this morning.
  9. did he include the TM logo in the bottom right corner to? lol I don't know why but i've always loved that logo.
  10. my top 3 choices would be Suh, Rex and Christian Peter Suh - well it's obvious the dude is just an athletic freak who can kick field goals. With a line of him blocking, plus a full back for a lead blocker. The offense would be almost unstopable. Wouldn't even need to worry about a passing game. Rex - He maybe small and at a disadvantage cause of it. But the kid has heart, soul and determination. I could deal with not being the best team if it's full of players like that. Christian Peter - to most of yall this maybe a strange choice. But he was fierce, talented, strong and gave 110%. Plus he and the rest of the defense was feared. With his intensity would be fun to watch. Only problem would be figuring how to legally lock all of the women in and around Lincoln up to keep him out of trouble.
  11. When you say "my team", is this something you do for work? A hobby? /not criticizing. Just curious. Strictly hobby, there is no money in paranomal unless you sell out and get a tv show. Edit Wildman nailed it hey Redux what group do you belong to, or do yall have a name? The group I investigate with is called Paranormal L.I.G.H.T.S.
  12. if your serious about this then take some advice from people who have tattoo's. First off choose a reputable place. Ask around find where people go to get tattoos and look at what they have done. When you decide on a place ask the artist if they have pictures of tattoos they have done. Look at them for reference of their work before you truely decide on a place and artist. Also I advise you not to get a tattoo on your neck or spine for your first one. That is one of the most sensative areas there is. Starting there you may not be willing to go back and have it finished if it takes more than 1 session. As for the cost your going to be paying a set rate per hour. Some artist depending on the size may just charge a set amount and not do the hourly rate. But taking a guess based on the ones i have, I'd say around $100 to $200 for what your describing.
  13. When you say "my team", is this something you do for work? A hobby? /not criticizing. Just curious. I'm not sure about Redux. But most people investigate this for a hobby or have had an experience that makes them want to find the answer. I personally do it and watch the show for both of those reasons. Unless your on tv like Ghost Adventures on travel chanel or the Ghost Hunting Plumbers on Syfy you don't get paid.
  14. You beat me to it. I was about to post the same thing. Also to look into is the area it self. There could of been tragic events that have happened in the area in the past. Or even unmarked graves that could be a cause as well. I've even seen people being sensative to electricity. If theres a spike or a leakage caused by a lamp, ceiling fan, electrical outlit or fuse box not wired correctly. Or something electrical going bad can cause similar feelings and paranoia while in the home. But from the cases i've seen that is normally only associated with 1 person in the home feeling that way. So having the electrical appliances, wires and fuse boxes checked out would be a good idea as well. Plus a lot of the banging or taping noises that i have found. Was caused by air in a pipe that happened to be loose and rattled against a piece of wood.
  15. I like the Notre Dame helmet. More for the tradition of it than anything. Notre Dame Joe could tell you better than I can. But from what I know. The students volunteer to sand, primer and repaint the helmets before each and every game. I'm sure I don't have that quite right if not, i'm sorry. But that tradition to me is really cool and shows the pride the student body has in their team. But if I was to vote on just looks alone. I'd say Ohio States. Cause they are simple, traditional. Yet due to helmet stickers all look different. Plus to me the helmet stickers look like pot leafs, which I find funny.
  16. I don't know if there is an exact reason for this. But with me it makes me more aware of my surroundings. Plus when you take away one of your senses, you become more aware of the other senses. So when it's dark and you can't see as well. You notice sounds, feelings and smells easier. Since you are paying more attention to them. Which is the same reason the investigations are normally done at night. Thats when most people rest and you don't have background noise as much. Making it easier to pay attention to the unusual or unexplained events that might happen.
  17. I was the same way. Didn't quite believe it but yet fascinated by the stories and experiences others had. Once I went to Villisca and seen first hand a door slamming shut. Hearing voices on tape recorders that shouldn't be there. Made me a believer and wanting to find more evidence. If you ever get a chance to investigate it, I recommend you go for it.
  18. lol the ones I like is when Taff comes in and starts to help them. But yet the owners fight him every step of the way.
  19. yea that'd help a little. But if you have the same nasty furniture, over priced drinks. Then you wouldn't be accomplishing much. But dancers would be a good start. With two strip clubs I mentioned I think the best overhall for them would be to start with a bulldozer.
  20. I'd like foxy lady or night before lounge cleaned up. I've been in both of them 1 time. Felt as if I needed a std test after sitting down. Plus think it'd be hillarious to see Taffer to clean up a strip club. The Grove needed it before they closed the doors for the second time.
  21. what i do not get is how their sales only go up like 20%, as if that is good enough. some of these bars are losing like 10k a month. don't they need like a 120% increase? That is what I always thought too! Taffer is great but does the same thing each time 1. Yell at everyone 2. make them clean for no reason, its going to be cleaned anyway 3. Makes drinks that are "local" The cleaning I agree with him making them do it. They created the mess, they should be the ones to clean it up. But the biggest issue i've been finding about this show. Is according to some of the bars that have been on here. The producers tell the owners they file all the necessary paperwork with the city for renovations. Yet never do, which has caused a bar owner to lose his liqour license, clientel as he couldn't serve alcohol. Plus his live performance license, so he couldn't even draw in the non drinking crowds to hear local bands.
  22. what i do not get is how their sales only go up like 20%, as if that is good enough. some of these bars are losing like 10k a month. don't they need like a 120% increase? yea I agree thats the goal. But i'm betting the theory is if you can change the perception of the bar with that final stress test/reopening. Then the word will get out and the business will start to grow. Eventually you'll get to the 120% growth. Doing it over night would probably be to much at 1 time and the bars would close. Also according to bar rescue updates. The bar owners and staff are encouraged to act a certain way to get picked by John.
  23. I agree it's amazing how gross these bars are. The Oasis quickly went back to being a Hookah bar after Taffer left. They are selling shirts that say "Puff, Puff, Taff" as a reference to the Bar Rescue show. from what I understand they pretty much had to. They got their liqour license as a cigar bar. They would have to sell tobaco to have the license.
  24. apparently it's already been declined, according to KPTM. link "The main reason why I voted no is to at least send a message to the bar owner that that is unacceptable and that he has caused embarrassment to our community,” said council member Lynne Branigan. Officials said the bar has no violations. Throughout its entire four years of business, O Face only has one citation.
  25. I didn't see this one. But did watch the hookah bar episode in Omaha, think it was called oasis. When I see bars on the show like this. Makes me wonder how the bar is still in business. Figured if they didn't run out of money the health department would shut them down.
