  1. 2 teams generally rotate off the schedule every two years. The best way to divide divisions would be east and west. They don't seem certain to do that. I have to think that may be because one school we're pursuing won't want to be in with OSU, UM and PSU. The worst thing that could happen would be to split OSU and UM. That would give a lot of people a bad vibe right away similar to what happened with you and Oklahoma. I have to believe that NU will be in with Iowa, Wisky, Minny, Illinois, ect..... I just can't see them putting the farthest west team in with the farthest east teams and making them play every year. I also wonder where the conference title game will be? I'm sure it'll be a dome. Possibly in Indy?
  2. It's hard to say who will be the rival since they won't commit to what the divisions will be. The said their criteria is competitive balance first, current rivalries second and geography 3rd. Seems like they may not just go an east and west. Sounds like they might try to split up PSU from OSU and UM. Problem is many PSU fans view OSU as their rival. Or they are stating that in preparation of putting the coveted Notre Dame in with Nebraska, Wisky, Iowa, etc.... I highly doubt NU and OSU will be in the same division.
  3. Mizzou could be in trouble. I doubt they get invited to the B10. Supposedly Delany told the B12 commish that they are not interested in anymore schools from their conference right now. The B10 is going east, to raid the Big East. Probably two or three schools will be taken from the Big East. Most likely from new states. I think it'll be Rutgers and Syracuse. Then maybe a team from the ACC like GT, VT or Maryland. All this leading up to forcing Notre Dame to join.
  4. Hey fro, what's the latest you're hearing? I noticed Dave Matter hinted that he's hearing Rutgers will get the next invite? Needless to say, I still think Mizzou will get an invite eventually. I could be wrong, but something tells me Delany is going after "hard to get" pieces at the moment aka ND. Once he snags Rutgers, the Big East is at risk. My guess is once ND commits to the Big Ten, Mizzou will be the last to be invited. I could be way off, so take my speculation with a grain of salt. i am hearing a whole gaggle of stuff. I have heard if the big10 goes 16 we are in. 14 we are out. I have heard SEC and BIG East Rumors. There is now a PAC10 Rumor. There are talks of the big12 staying together with Texas and OU. I have a hard time believing given the things MU brings they get stuck outside. But the I also know that MU is the nice looking girl who has some really cute friends. The big boys will hit on the pretty, hard to get ones, before going home with MU at last call. IT is what it is. We are good enough to take home, but not big enough to make that huge spash. I believe you are correct in that a team from the Big East is next. I think the Big 10 is going to force ND to make a decision and raiding the Big East is next on the agenda to force them out of their comfort zone. I think the team is either Rutgers or Syracuse.
  5. I'm also from Columbus and a die hard Buckeye and I would like to welcome you to the Big 10! I believe it's a good fit and believe you will strengthen the pedigree of the conference. I think it's also fitting that your football coach is a born and raised Ohioan and former Buckeye! You'll fit in well. Looking forward to our first meeting.
