    B1G vs SEC

SEC Games - Clemson (I'll give them that), Idaho, Southern Miss, Wisconsin (again credit), UT Martin, South Dakota St., West Virginia, Boise St, Temple, Utah St. Only 2 marquee OOC games. B1G Games - Navy, LSU (credit for this one), UCF (credit for this one), Youngstown St, Indiana St, Northern Iowa, Appalachian St, Western Michigan, Florida Atlantic, California, James Madison, Eastern Illinois, Washington St, Jacksonville St. Both have two games considered marquee OoC. Eventually B1G conference games will happen as well. Not sure what the point of this thread was. I included UCF and Clemson because they both had incredibly good seasons the past two years.
  2. Navy putting 300 yards rushing on anyone is the norm, not the exception.
  3. Oregon can't beat a team with a modicum of defense. VT is a shell of their former selves. The only game that can change the perception is Wisc vs LSU Are you serious? Haha. Alright. Since I have to be excellent to you I won't call you an expletive.
  4. Why would anyone feel sorry for Urban Meyer? He wasn't the one that got injured.
  5. It's because everyone in the know is comparing JT to Kenny Guiton. And all OSU fans were very comfortable with Guiton as a backup. They knew the dropoff would be pretty much nonexistent.
  6. Who's looking at losses? We're still aiming for undefeated. Offense was never the question, so Miller's injury doesn't change that. This wasn't like his freshman year where when he got injured against Nebraska, we all knew we lost the game (even being up 3 scores) and had Bauserman making complete passes in the stands. Michigan and Michigan St will beat OSU. Wouldn't be surprised to see VaTech win either. I would say 3 wins is about what Miller is worth. He's worth AT LEAST 21 points, and you are beating none of those teams by more than that WITH Miller. Have you seen Michigan and Va Tech the past few years? Both are shells of their former selves. Michigan State is a tough one however.

Everyone is aiming for undefeated. Without going through the 2013 OSU schedule, I'm sure there had to have been a game or two that were won because Braxton Miller put the team on his shoulders, and there is no way you have a backup as talented as him. Four losses is probably the worst case scenario for OSU, I just want to rail on Urban Meyer. f#*k that guy. Ironically, I believe firmly, that Braxton Miller being in the game was the reason we lost to MSU in the B1G championship game last season. With Hyde getting 6 yards a carry, they gave it to Miller when we needed one yard.

  9. Had he not responded to the sexual assault the way he did, I would be all for his firing. But that guy is no longer a student, the midnight ramp no longer exists, and the nicknames were going away. This was all before his firing, so I really have no idea why he got fired other than to make an example.
  10. So the complaint came about because Jon Waters didn't empathize with her enough apparently. He investigated what she said, turned it over to the university, and the student in question was expelled. http://www.abc6onyourside.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/abc-6-investigators-osu-marching-band-mom-sparked-investigation-breaks-her-silence-33816.shtml#.U9ucPXlOWUk
  11. Means Out of Conference like it has for years.

  13. It's so weird hearing people complain about this now. Because I know for a fact things like this were happening in the 90's when I went there.
  14. For now ... http://www.cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2014/07/ohio_state_defensive_lineman_t_1.html If he's found guilty of the cocaine possession, he's off the team and out of the university. Felony charge (regardless of degree) gets you kicked out of OSU.
  15. B1G's reply....you know that conference that you cancel all the games you play against?
  16. Tough to tell. Depends on what the focus will be. Jones played the read option the best. Barrett, was decent both in passing and rushing. And Collier impressed with his passing.
  17. harder than properly putting three letters together.
  18. I didn't have to sign up or provide information. The Albany Mt. St. Mary game is on right now if you want to see if yours works. Did it remember it from before? I tried the link and it notes that Dish is my provider, and says that I need TruTV as part of my package (which I don't) to see this game. I'm guessing I used this last year and provided my Dish login. Nope, I clear my computer out regularly (including cookies)

  20. You guys have a lot of big wins on your resume. I don't think there will be any issue with the Huskers making the tourney.
  21. Congrats on the win guys. I wasn't able to watch this game, but OSU is freefalling right now.
  22. His success was predicated off of Alvarez's recruits and was on his way down when they left. And Arkansas picks him up. I see no upside to having Alvarez as a coach.
  23. I agree with you. Although one of those Rose Bowls were a direct result of OSU and PSU being under sanctions.
  24. Because we started the Big Ten Network. This was long before we had a championship game. It's ESPN being petty little bitches in this instance--they were the first network Delaney went to with the idea for the BTN, and ESPN did everything but laugh Delaney out of Bristol. Of course, that was a stupid, *stupid* move for ESPN, and now that Delaney had the audacity to show ESPN up and succeed, we see negative/slanted B1G coverage as retaliation. What everyone in the B1G should be concerned with is what happens if ESPN loses the B1G games completely: There's talk that Fox is willing to ante up for most to all B1G rights to shore up their Fox Sports Network (they have the inside track as majority partner of the BTN). Add to this the talk that NBC (for NBC Sports) and CBS are interested in leftover second-tier and first-tier B1G football inventory (respectively) and there's a possible scenario where the B1G isn't on ESPN at all. Why should we be concerned with this? Because ESPN controls the playoffs
