Iowa fan here, just wanting to say hello and welcome to the Big Ten.
I won't be the first to admit that Iowa's football history - while plenty rich - still pales in comparison to Nebraska's accomplishments. While Iowa has been very good for 30 years, NU has been dominant, more often than not, for 50. NU has more double-digit win seasons in one decade (8 in the 1980s) than Iowa has had in its entire history (7) - and UI hasn't even gotten its first until 1985.
That said, Nebraska comes to the Big Ten with a clean slate. Yes, the Big 8 and Big 12 titles are impressive, but in the Big 10 reputation alone won't be enough to earn your keep, you'll need to prove it on the field. And I know you'll do just that. I'm looking forward to a GREAT series with you guys - shoot, Wisconsin could prove a worthy adversary for the 'Skers as well.
We might not be OU, but then again, we ain't Colorado either. Again, here's to a fantastic (and hopefully respectful) rivalry.
