  2. I am not gonna say we played well.....well because we didn't, but at the same time Fresno does this every year. I remember in either 2005 or 2006 when USC was killing every single team they played Fresno went to USC and gave USC their toughest game of the year...Pat Hill does one hell of a job. That USC team was the very best team in college football that year...can you honestly say they sucked because they let Fresno Hang with them? No.... I think this team has a long way to go to be national championship worthy, however this team sure as hell is better then the 2007 team and will not lose 5-6 games.....I love this board and my huskers but come'on guys lets have some perspective
  3. Before I watched the video I was thinking the dude must've been nuts to have '72 Nebraska. That team lost twice and had a tie. But it was '71. That makes a helluva lot more sense. sorry it was 1am mistakes happen....brain fart big time
  4. basically looking at random youtube vids i came across this rankings vid by someone with the name "bornahorn". Not expecting to much i watched it out of curiosity and found it kinda shockingly to have the 72 team and 95 teams ranked 1 and 2 all time on his list....now obviously we are all a little biased but it got me wondering. Trying to be as objective as possible how good comparative to the rest of the all-time teams were nebraska's best squads. The 95 team is usually in the discussion for the greatest of all-time and the 72 teams gets lots of recognition but even as a Husker fan I'm not sure they are one and two all-time. I could easily see the 95 team being number 1 but number two for 72 seemed somewhat high.
  5. is it just me or did MA pull Lemke way to early?
  6. what about us Lutherans we get no love?
  7. I was at all three games and have to say that the pitching staff for UCLA is unreal COle hit 100 4 times on friday Bauer threw 129 pitches and threw his fastest pitch in the 10th inning.....the hitting also suffered from a couple at 'em balls, wind, and some great catches in the outfield by UCLA
  8. The Weather here is amazing i am used to 75 degree winters and calling anything under 70 frigid.....i'm going to lincoln late next week to see my cousin pitch during the UCLA series and was curious what i should be prepared for weather wise and clothes wise I would appreciate it. The coldest clothes I own are jeans and a over coat.
  9. really good signing day so far, it doesn't sound like we had any de-commits and peat jr was a nice surprise
  10. correction remmington is on there but still one husker c'mon man!
  11. i didn't search real hard but if i am not mistaken are there no huskers on this list of trophy names? if so thats a pretty big slap considering all the penn state names on there (in case tradition in the big 10 would have been the excuse)
  12. it sure as hell beats all the dumb rumor threads on the board. I feel like some of the posters are chicken little himself and try copenhagen black its amazing or grizzly wintergreen
  13. haha sweet that seems to fit right in with Bo
  14. Copenhagen he chews copenhagen? or you just enjoy copenhagen? and is grizzly wintergreen FTW!!!
  15. is there an ncaa ban on visable tobacco use?
  16. Every now and then i see a picture with Bo and a huge wad of something in his mouth, so i was wondering if he dips or just chews sh#tloads of gum
  17. ehh weren't my friends, tho i do recieve alot of crap from them its just the regular banter. My high School sends quite a number of players to USC including some from my church so to not a USC fan around here is semi-blasphemous. Tough loss to swallow but GBR till the day i die
  18. GO BIG RED GO BIG RED :bonesflag: :bonesflag: :bonesflag:
  19. For 10 years I have received nothing but hell for loving my families team, our beloved Cornhuskers. I have been punched, cussed at, spit at, had my nebraska sweatshirt rubbed in sh#t doing outdoor ed. Yet my love has never faltered, we are lucky to belong to this family of fans who has represented us so proudly for my 18 years on this Earth. Yet, on the field success has been very limited to say the least over the last 10 years. A win in this game would signal a rare glimpse of national success for our beloved team. Yet, losing is a possibility and as much as i love winning....i would like for us all to keep in perspective how hard this team has worked and how much they need our support no matter what the outcome on the field. I was a proud CornHusker since birth, am currently a proud COrnhusker, and ALWAYS will be a proud COrnhusker. So lets give 'em hell boys but no matter what happens united as Cornhuskers may we be. :bonesflag:
