Yes a lot of depth and starts are returning, but where is that in terms of a lefty? Logan Ehlers could be brought along just like Johnny Dorn was a freshman. And IMO that is what this staff needs. Agree for the most part knapplc. My thing with Kody is that I can see him moving onto more of a Blake Lawrence type deal. Ya know injuries cut the playing days off and still has a pretty good role within the team and the staff. Like you said he will probably never see the field. Great guy, and crappy situation but I wish he'd move to the med scholly like Blake did and do the same kind of thing. This kid probably could be a great coach someday if he wants and this would only help. As for Turner. I think he already looks better throwing the ball than Taylor. His open field moves dominate Taylor's lack of. Taylor probably is just a little quicker. He will be on the field in some role next year is my guess. If the Burton pipedream some how ever came to fruition, I would NOT want Burton as the recruiting coordinator. It would severely hamper his greatest strength which is in person recruiting. Setting up all the travel and who is getting visited and what not is not something you put on the plate of your best salesperson. Same with JP and now there is no way Beck adds that title. IF the pipedream came true, give Burton the title from Barney or take Gilmore's post of Assistant HC and let Els or Barney Indian Leg Wrestle for the recruiting coordinator title.

Enhance, I don't know if I would overly put a lot into the RB's fumbling. Near the end of last year if Roy coughed it up it wasn't overly shocking because he had these issues all through his career. A lot of those probably are due to his plagmatic injuries throughout his time here. Rex, had a couple of drops, but the one that really sticks out was the bowl game in which he was trying to throw out of the wildcat something that he doesn't do regularly. He is the most surehanded of the RB stable and I am not concerned. However, our QB continually coughing up the ball was. Maybe Beck can put Taylor through some RB protection drills(which I am sure he did a little, but not to the extreme the RBs do). So I guess what my on and on blabfest is trying to get at is I think you are overthinking this. I do agree about feeling like almost every play last year very easily was about to blow up in our face and be negative.

Prob. only if GSP beats Jake Shields will this happen. I sure hope it does. I wonder if they will do it at a catchweight or will GSP move up/Silva move down. It would be sweet to see someone hold two belts at once and I hope its GSP I am thinking Dana attempts to find some middle ground for the two. Lance Jeter, is the ONLY player on the roster that would play meaningful minutes on any other team in the league. He is the rock that has made this team better. They need to morph Diaz into Neimann's bpdy and then you'd probably have both A bigger body for Diaz would help, but unless Doc sends Diaz to the Land of Oz to find a heart, the body won't make a difference. You're right, because throwing a water bottle, screaming for the ball, telling coaches and players you want the ball, and jawing with one of the best players in the nation... twice... shows you have no heart. I've ripped on Diaz more than most (other than PC of course), but the last few games Diaz has shown he really does care. He just doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve. Not to many players have came to Nebraska, Alfonzo Dennard and Keegan Hughes are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head. LeKevin Smith is the only other real recent Husker off the top of my head

At least this one has stayed interesting a lot longer than I thought it would. But Lance Jeter is every bit the player I KNEW he was. We are gonna miss this kid. He could play for KU a lot, and I don't think you could say that about anyone else on the roster.

Settling for three's. This team is more effective when they get in the paint and then kick out. Hopefully with Jeter back in, the offense gets some flow again. Under 12 TO down 10
