  1. Hopefully Almeida's wheel is feeling great. He has to be effective for the next eight minutes minimum while Diaz sits with four fouls. Under 16 TO. KU by 9
  2. The Double T that Diaz got is looking huge for the second half. With the T he has three fouls. He loves to go into a shell when he is in foul trouble. He comes out and still is aggressive it is a good sign, however based on history I don't know. Ku will come out and pound it down low. Hopefully McCray can stay hot. And for the love of god is there a reason Bear Jones hasn't taken off the warm ups?
  3. Toney McCray playing today to make up for the KSU game. But of course Doc benches the guy with the hottest hand in a HUGE area of weakness. And Bear Jones anyone?
  4. Diaz shows fire and is part of a double Technical? All that for helping him up? Pissed that it was petty crap but at least he showing a little passion
  5. Jeter on the bench who runs the offense? Key time to keep it close
  6. The Morris twins are deciding to show up in the first half this time around. Could be trouble
  7. Interesting line up indeed. Will those be the only threes Nu hits today
  8. Yea Warren could make every other donor in America look like a bum, but no he hasn't coughed up. I will further say that Ted Gilmore has a better chance as of this moment to get his job back, then Warren throwing any coin at the Athletic Department. I believe he has already set very strict guidelines as to what and where the dough would go if he kicks it.
  9. Saw in an article this week that Corey Hilliard jacked up his knee. They had said they think it is just hyperextened but haven't seen anything official
  10. They need to morph Diaz into Neimann's bpdy and then you'd probably have both
  11. I would love to see Docs boys play well and continue the home winning streak, but..... I got Rock Chalk by 15. It will play out as most matchups in this series. Play KU good one game, NU had its chance in Lawrence none the less, and then the second game looses interest fairly quickly and gets ugly. Thoughts..... The keys are the same as always. Defensive rebounding to limit 2nd chance points, hitting some threes(yeah right), and obviously very key after Tuesday, turnovers
  12. It was a shot at Iowa bball. They actuallly suck worse that we do right now
  13. I don't think it's a dick move at all. Woodhead not getting offered a scholly has been made a big deal for quite some time. If Woodhead would have been that confident in his abilities, he'd have walked-on and earned a scholly like so many walk-ons did in the past. Frost went to play for the guy who developed the WCO. He was also drafted back in a time when it wasn't really very common to draft a college QB and convert them to another position. It's very likely the only reason Frost got to play in the NFL was because of the time he played safety at Stanford. People seem to get their panties in a bunch when discussing either Frost or Woodhead. I'd venture to guess Woodhead would not be playing in the NFL had he gotten a scholly from NU. I'd also venture to guess Frost would not have played in the NFL had he not went to Stanford first and had some exposure as a safety there. It seems to me that both were better off in the direction their path took them. However, it's all conjecture at this point. I just find it odd how some people continue to question the loyalty of a QB that landed us a NC trophy when there's been so few that have played here that accomplished as much. Not everyone's confidence is backed by a fat bank account. And sometimes the dream of playing NU is pricey and the free ride is a good deal. EXAMPLE Darius Vick, said he needed the scholly instead of being a financial burden for a year, perhaps more. But I can seem to agree on SOME of your points, just not this one.
  14. I have heard Harvey Perlman is actually either TuffTiger or BeachBuff.
  15. I am just excited to see Doc might just have a whipping boy in the new conference.
  16. When I opened this thread, I was hoping for a picture with a FOR SALE in front of his house.
  17. A couple of more classics from Ryan tonight on Big Red Wrap-up. Thank you DVR "Every single play, my mission on is to put the guy in front of me on the ground. And if he's not pancaked, buried, done, out of the play, I consider I lost that play. I play every single down, I can, I never know when my last play will be, so I make every a play that I can put on a hi-light tape. EVERY SINGLE PLAY". "I put 'em on the ground, bury 'em, play angry, play aggressive, play violent, it's football, it's not a non-contact sport, you have a helmet for a reason and I'm going to use it". Suit him up!!!
  18. This kid may just be my favorite personality wise in this class. It is awesome to listen to this kid talk. Really noticed it yesterday in his interview with Kugler and Severe, and became more of a fan tonight on Big Red Wrap-up. Described himself as being full of piss and vinegar, and then asked if he could say that on air. Awesome. Also it was brought up that he is dating Hannah Werth, robbing the cradle there Hanna? But if they ever reproduced.......ubber athletes.
  19. Qualification red flags brought up again on Big Red Wrap Up. Saying he has some work to do this spring.
  20. I am in the Coleman camp, especially over Els. But my dislike of Els is personal. Ross recruited me my senior year of high school when he was at Hastings. After deciding on a different school, I called all the other coaches to let them know of decision. All were curtious and wished me luck except one. Ross Els. I pretty much got ripped for my decision and was told that I wasn't a big loss to them, pretty much reversing all the sunshine he pumped up my backside while recruiting me. Like I said it's a personal preference for me. I had friends that played for him at Hastings and then one at NMSU, they all agreed on this. He is a very good coach, but a total prick. Now he probably has changed, but after all the positive things that were being said about Coleman during his tenure here, I would take Doug over Els.
  21. I like one of yesterdays signees full name Givens Marvelous Mordi Price
  22. Hard to get any shot attempts when you pick up two foulds in the first two minutes of the game. When he came back in after Niemann was worthless, he was SO tentative not to pick up that third foul he looked like a kid on his first date. Also turning the ball over about as many times as points scored is not gonna help. I saw that fire a little in the second half(what little I saw after remembering to change the channel back to the game) was nice but that crap has to be there for 40 minutes every game. And until I see that, I will still be skeptical. KState came out and did exactly what I thought they would, and sadly NU played like I thought they might. Again it is the same story. And it is older than Moses. 2nd chance points, turnovers, and outside shooting(especially settling for pooor shots by poor shooters). Even with the game at home this weekend with KU, I'll say it will be a typical NU/KU series. Close KU win in game one, game two...not so much. And this is coming from a guy that begs for them to be successful, but at the same time is very much a realist.
  23. The kid is a HELL of an athlete. Very freakish. But can we end this pipe dream now, and the next post be whomever he selects next signing day in front all of the media
  24. As I said back during the season, this kid is a BEAST. It may be the biggest recruiting upset ever, if Bo and the boys keep him out of Columbus. Put Team Youngstown and JP on him, and stay on him.
  25. I was thinking more along the lines of a Noel Devine type back. But, I would take a Dexter McCluster too. I see Devine too aspeedlin, I think it is the hair. Boy talk about one of the sickest highlight videos I have EVER layed eyes on, too bad NU had higher academic standards then WVU back then. Everyone swore he would not qualify and he did just enough to slide into Morgantown.
