Pretty sure he is referring to the quick punt after the Reed catch. But coaches don't have that nice blown up camera angle to go off of. Wasn't at the game so couldn't tell ya what angle the big screen showed, but outside of sitting in your living room with the blown up angle, you couldn't tell if that was a catch or not. I am sorry but this is utter crap and I couldn't disagree more. Our OLine has been mediocre since the hiring of Barney. Ricky Henry is the ONLY enjoyable player to watch up front and that is basically on his effort alone.

I'd take this "weakness" of theirs anyday of the week. You do realize Texas is a top 20 run defense and take away the second half against UCLA they give up 2 yards a tote. And it is not like we have been running all over the Steel Curtain, today we find out how good our line is and maybe Barney will earn that paycheck Well, the weakness I was referring to was their running game, not running defense. Still, I've gotta eat crow here. We couldn't get anything done with our running game. In the end, it was fumbles and dropped passes that cost us the game. But our running game sure didn't do anything much and was anything but a strength today. I don't feel like their offense did much of anything either. But as improbable as it seemed to me before now, ours was worse. Who would have called Gilbert Grape out-running Martinez today? Sigh................ My bad bro, couldn't really see your logic with what I had thought you were going with. However, Texas' run defense showed up today and was just as dominant as I was fearing.

As a former college player, new footballs suck. We always used older footballs then balls right out of the box. New footballs are stiff, slick and just felt so different. Ask the majority of former players and they will agree, especially with QB's

Except Misery's defense looks fast. Unless we can learn to throw and CATCH the ball between now and then, it will look like today. Unfortunately we will have to use our run game with T mart against okie lite and then face Misery having to throw. not Good Umm....yeah and San Diego State's running game said that too. In a game in Columbia. Smoke and mirrors brotha, much like our OLine. Be more weary of Okie Lite in Stillwater then the Zou in Lincoln.

I am not so disgusted in the result, as I have had this feeling since the end of the K State game that this would be the result. My disgust falls in the game itself. 1. Wats still hasn't learned that to beat a fast defense is not by continuing to attack the outsides of the defense but right up the gut. 2. Taylor sucks in the pocket and throwing the ball more often then not, but the drops killed him all day. Why not roll him out with a run/pass option? Let him do what he does best, and attmept to make plays with the threat of his feet. 3. The ref arguement is crap. The calls have never been there and I can't believe so many of you still make this arguement. We have gotten away with more than our share of holds this year. 4. Barney Cotton is also crap. I hated the hire when Bo made it and obviously it still hasn't payed dividends. Please don't let this talented crop of incoming OL be handicapped by this man.

Sorry still gonna disagree with this one. THREE minutes are left, and the Blackshirts hadn't given up crap the 2nd half. Take a chance in that "vaunted" defense. The odds of them holding Texas to 3 and out is a lot better than getting the onside.

We learned that our offensive line is not as good as the KoolAid led some of you to believe. They were owned all day for the most part. We learned that we shouldn't buy into the hype after tearing up teams with rush defenses that aren't in the top 100 in that category. We reaffirmed that Taylor has a long ways to go in his pocket presense and throwing. Yes he had drops but he threw some real bad ball as well. We reaffirmed that our defense will keep us in any game We reaffirmed(even though mostly self inflicted)that we are indeed Texas' bitches. ANd yes that last line made me puke up beer and burgers in my mouth as I wrote it. Truth hurts.

You definitely kick it deep. Even for those that pull the "we couldn't stop the run" cry, Texas hadn't done crap the whole 2nd half. You play to your strengths and Bo I am sure feels that would be the D. A three and out there even burning the 2 TO's that were left you are looking at getting the ball the 35 at the worst with about 1:45 left. I will take those odds all day vs getting the ball at the 20 at best with no timeouts after the onside. Give the team a chance.

I am firmly in Bo's corner as far as what he has done with the program. But that onside kick was the worst decision that he has made as a coach. 3 minutes to go with two timeouts and he goes for one of the lowest percentage plays in football. The field position which we have lacked all game could have been swung to help us and it cost NU any chance of tying this game. A lot of questions have arisen from this game, however this one hurt SO BAD.

Now that the biggest test on the schedule has passed in a not so favorable way, where do we go from here? The smoke and mirrors offense has been exposed to a degree. All my concerns about our offensive line play were presented to me in High Def inabout 46 inches. Our line is NOT that good. I felt it after SDSU and today obviously reaffirmed my thoughts. SO backers of this offensive units what say you? A few of us on this board knew the sledding would be tough, but after today this only confirms my thoughts that Barney is the weaklink on this staff with Gilmore nipping at his heels. Defensively the Blackshirts played well enough towin this game. As much as they are on the field and some of the positions that they are put in we are fortunate to be in the position that we as fans get to enjoy. Yes, they tackled piss poor early on but as the game went on Texas couldn't do lick. Today we were our worst enemies and a lot of questions have arised. What we do going into Stillwater will determine a lot. DO the guys dwell on this game too much and arrive late to the Pokes game, or does Bo get them refocused(more the likely scenario) and they paly well. A&M, the Puffs and KU are complete garbage. The Zou is the only formible force left besides the trip to Stillwater. It shall be an interesting ride from here on out.

Not an excuse but why are we continually running routes to the endzone where the recievers are looking into the sun trying to make the catch. Niles I have been a backer of yours for too long on this board, today I cannot continue to do so until you prove otherwise. This is crap.

Field position has also been key. THe biggest thing is Taylor needs to relax and not think that he must win this game. Some slip screens in the middle and some delay runs will hurt Texas. But it all starts up front.

Both of those passes to Rex and Niles were thrown so they were both fighting the sun as they were trying to bring the ball in. Not calling for an excuse but they were. Bottom line our OLine is getting destroyed, something that I thought was going to be an issue.

Not so sure about that punt spot. We need to flip the field in the worst of ways. If this happens I will feel better. Can't blame Rex on the drop he would have been looking right into the sun at this time of day. We need a stop. On offense some kind of middle screen would work right now.
