  1. Go for two so a FG don't beat ya. Guessing they were hoping their defense would start stopping Boise. Plus their little sheet says go for two, although too many coaches live by that stupid sheet. If this was the first half it would be completely stupid, but late in the third I say good call.
  2. Tech takes the gift from Boise and scores right back. 2 point conversion to come
  3. That'd be a hell of an answer. Beamerball rears its head on the PAT 26-21
  4. WIlliams scores again to put Tech up one. Looks like we are going to have a slugfest on our hands now.
  5. I think our best hope with Bubba would be like the Jake Locker scenario. I believe jake plays pro ball in the summmer and his draft rights were selected by the Angels. There have been other college football players that have done this as well. The biggest downside of course is losing the summer to workout with your teammates. In the end I still see Bubba taking his amazing skills to the MLB. Maybe he'll be drafted by a team he has always despised and disliked, that too could help us.
  6. Boise owns the trenches in the first half and that is a STATEMENT

  7. That TD was all Tyrod. A huge boost for Va Tech potentially heading to half as Boise gets the ball after.
  8. I am partially shocked of the lack of a commitment to the run by the Hokies. I understand that Boise's front four is straight owning the line of scrimmage, but with Williams, Evans and Taylor you have three freak runners. If they don't get going soon Kellen Moore will make sure this game is over.
  9. Obviously Beamer's boys thought this was a 9 o'clock kick EST
  10. Williams scores after a hell of a collision
  11. Maybe tech starts to show up in the 2nd. Deep drive into Boise territory
  12. Early on Boise's defense is looking legit and dominant. That's what 10 returners can do for ya. I for one always thought Boise would be good this year, but Va Tech is looking so lost and confused right now.
  13. Asante did however sign with the Browns practice squad
  14. The only thing that got pancaked on Meredith was the 34 on his right shoulder as it was stretched to the max(and torn) from the continuous holding from WKU left tackle.
  15. THIS. It is true but as much as I loved the height when he signed and since the first time I saw him in person my only thought was, "Give this kid a permenant seat at the training table and his own weight trainer, the kid was a rail and still pretty much is. I give him kudos on his effort and dedication to see the field, but I never gave him much thought when talking about WRs who would make an impact.
  16. I saw Ciante at the spring game and he looked nothing like he does now, masswise. Credit the Dobbs again, also give him props for Josh Williams, the guy is HUGE compared to last year. In the Journal Star today Coach Sanders said he knew Evans would probably play and he was set to before Blue blew out his knee. Also see that Sueng Hoon Choi got some PT
  17. Watched the game but didn't notice, so hopefully some of you out there in Husker World did. How much did Ankrah and Andrew Green play? I heard Ankrah played some but do not remember it, and I can't recall if Green played the Peso after Haag left. I figured that Green would get some reps at Peso, but also thought he'd be running some at corner. Curious if any of you saw either. I know Carl said the light with Jason hasn't clicked this fall yet, but after last year's stories about him running with the 1'a while redshirting I was hoping for a little more play and production. Feel free to add any other players you were suprised to see out there or you thought were missing.
  18. Did anyone not really notice who the first person on the sideline to congratulate Taylor after his big plays was? It was Cody Green. In fact Cody says he was excited and pumped up watching Taylor. I didn't see a certain other QB smiling and high fiving Taylor. Cody has welcomed the situation it seems through his quotes. A signal of a strong team player. I agree with typ3kal. The plays that Taylor ran (sans the two failed two minute offense possessions) in the passing game were very basic and with little intermediate routes and no deep routes. This will come in time. Cody did have a pass package that included longer pass plays. Not a suprise Cody's deep ball is the best I feel(think the Baylor game to Niles and the spring game to Will H). I am confident in each of the two young pups, but the nothing was really gained in playing W. Kentucky. We learned first hand finally, that Taylor can fly and Cody has grown as a QB. Things we heard all August. Now starts the real test against competition that will tell us a lot better of where they stand. Idaho isn't Texas by anymeans but a lot stronger than the Hilltoppers.
  19. Yep, Bubba was there along with Ryan Reeves and Daniel Davie
  20. It's an iffy situation in any case though EZ. On one hand you are "poaching" another teams' recruit. But on the other, how much vested interest does said recruit have when he decides to take the visit or look around a little bit? It's a double edge sword.
  21. Last year the tunnel walk was a ;ot better. The theme was perfect as everyone was counting down to sellout 300. This year it looks so much like the 2007 tunnel walk to me.
  22. I remember Enunwa and Evans, but I must have missed Rodriquez. Andrew played pretty much the entire second half. I was almost shocked to see Evans ran out there. Figured we'd see Andrew Green playing the corner spot when not playing the peso
  23. His jersey was ripped after the second or third jersey from being held and pulled on so much. And the play in which he was injured was a prime example of how the tackle was holding on to him the whole first helf. Sorry meant to say series.
