  1. No! They are working on a recruit for the next class. What? Please explain.....
  2. My guess is just that he started of at such a low rating that if they bumped him up to a 5 star it would have looked bad for them. This guy is a stud. Adding him and Adam to our backfield gives us the deepest backfield in the nation IMO.
  3. Oh please do! To be completely honest, they actually have a few really good posters on there, but other than those 2 or 3 the rest are simply idiotic.
  4. I like this coach. Sucks for us that he is not really interested but the coach has a good head on his shoulders. I understand what the coach is saying, but do you honestly think that our coaches are that naive to think that kids don't want just a free trip? I'm sure I coaches understand his situation. But all they want is a shot. How many times has a kid told us that he is 100% solid to us and then some coach sneaks just to talk to him. The kid says that he is 100% solid still, he just wants to take a trip. Then he flip flops. We just need to get him on campus, then anything can happen.
  5. Hard to say for sure, he really enjoyed his visit.
  6. I know its a far far stretch, but we are on roll in Florida right now. If his ol' buddy TJ could just get him here for a visit....
  7. Rivals hasn't reported anything about him not coming now? So what's the word? Also, Aspeed, I'm a little disappointed. Newby has been committed for a solid 5 days and you still have him in your sig. May I suggest Cethan Carter or maybe Boaz Joseph.
  8. Do you still want him since his name is actually Snodgrass? Whoops! I knew it was "Snod," I'm not really sure why I typed "Snad." Well anyways, yes, I still want him.
  9. I want this guy for two reasons: 1) he runs a 4.44 and 2) his name is Snadgrass. 'Nough said!
  10. That sure is a tuffy. I'm gonna take Texas simply because I think TA is a better passer than JS. Both sides sure are pretty talented.
  11. Is it possible to pin those three as signees?
  12. Tell me that they don't look alike!?!
  13. I know I have stated my opinion about Kevin earlier on here, HuskerFowler and I didn't exactly see eye-to-eye. However, I'm changing my opinion. After hearing what the coache sthink about this kid, I'm very excited about him. Not only does he help at a position of need, but he will help build roads into a talent-rich area. Good pick up by the coaches.
  14. look at the article i posted, hardly falling thru the cracks. The SEC pick up all the man childs that are 6 3 300 and ready to play almost immediately. Scroll down the the bottom of the article i posted. Its says: On the fringe of NCAA Division I-A offers and Others to watch If we were offering these kids i would be willing to call them a reach, even then i would trust the coaching staff, as they are right on talent more times then not. We each have our opinions I guess. I just don't get a good vibe with him. We have to be missing something. He plays at a high level and he has an impressive highlight film, yet no (good) schools believe he has what it takes and the recruiting services agree with them. While I do trust our coaching staff (most of the time), I trust other coaching staffs as well. Why is everyone over looking him? Plus, do we really want a guy on our team with the name "Big Mac" on our team? We already have Jay Guy....
  15. The fact that we are offering this late doesn't bother me. The fact that he is only a 2 star doesn't bother me. The fact that his best offer after us is Boston College is what bothers me. Maliek Collins plays at a lower level in Missouri, it is easier to fall through the cracks there. But how often do players fall through the cracks in Orlando, Florida?
  16. dont you think kevin williams is a bit small? i think he's only like 270 also was he hurt this year i didnt see him much Curry, Thad Randle, and Valentine probably have the better size, but unless Randle gets healthy and can stay healthy, I like Kevin there.
  17. It should be pretty clear to most people that the offense wont have too much of a problem next year. The big question mark is the defense, how will they move on from a year like this past season. I know the secondary got torched today, but I like J. Rose and Charles Jackson to start at corners and Harvey Jackson and Andrew Green Mo Siesay at the safeties. Mix in there Josh Mitchell, SBJ, Ciante Evans and a few other guys and we have our selves a pretty good secondary IMO. The linebacker postion is going to be a fun one to watch next year. Zaire should be back with Santos and, I'm going to guess, Michael Rose. We will have a lot of young guys in there, as I see Thomas Brown, Jared Afalava and even Josh Banderas getting playing time next year, but we will lack in experience we will make up in athletic ability (something our LBs just simply didn't have this year IMO). For the DL I like Ankrah and Randy Gregory at DE and Chase Rome and Kevin Williams at DT. Who knows, we might even land a JUCO DT in Ben Bradley or Toby Johnson and our DL could be the strength of our defense. I think we will see a big step up from Papuchis and the defense in his second year as DC. My guess is that we go 10-1 in the regular season with a close wins over UCLA and Northwestern/Michigan and the loss will come from either Northwestern or Michigan. We will play in the B1G 10 Championship game against tOSU and lose a thiller. We get an invite to the Fiesta Bowl against Texas and we pull out a double-digit victory. Okay, maybe I got a little carried away there with the predictions, but I really do see us going 11-2 with a BCS bowl win.
  18. How come when the parents are against us (Ben Bradley), the kid listens to his parents. But when they are for us (Priest), they don't listen.....
  19. How can a team have an edge over the other if it's 50/50? I actually agree with everything you said. I feel pretty good about next year.
  20. Must be nice to not have to worry about a bowl game............pathetic
  21. I gotta admit, Katy sounds like a pretty awesome place to live.
  22. Well sheeeet! People are just rationalizing to protect themselves from the possible disappointment of not singing these guys! "Well we didn't land Priest or Newby but they played positions where we are deep anyways." Therapy session over. $250 please! ~Redwhine I think a big part of our disagreement is semantics. I am not trying to "protect" myself from the possibility of being disappointed, I'm all in on both of these guys. They are #2 and 3 on my personal board. But a need, to me, is something that if we don't address and fill now, then it will be exposed in a big way next year. Like we need an instant contributor at DT. I absolutely agree that it is very important to build depth, but if we don't get these guys it wont be the end of our season. Before you can build depth, you need to make sure that there aren't any existing gaping holes. We can have the best secondary in the nation and have enough depth there to fill the Grand Canyon, but if our DL can't put any pressure and a QB, then it wont do us any good.
  23. OK??? So I shouldn't post info reported by ESPN?? I've been reading this forum for awhile...i've read that Scout sucks, Rivals sucks, 247 sucks, now ESPN sucks...i'm not saying i like one more than the other, just posting info I read on the site...seeing how they where actuall quotes from Walker himself, I figured them to be accurate. I will rarely post my opinion, i pretty much just try to report what i have read from various sites. I was coping the articles, but was informed that was not a good idea, so i have just tried to start summerizing...Just trying to help spread the info. Appreciate the effort on your part. The only suggestion that I can think of is just posting the link of where you are getting the info. That way people can take it for what it is worth to them.
  24. Aspeedlin, my fragile demeanor can't take this today. Give me some good news. I think we land Bradley. Hopefully everything is good to go in the Admissions Dept. We should have a decision by around 7 tonight
  25. Please don't misread this, but I really don't think that Newby and Priest are "needs". Yes, they are both incredible players that would step foot on campus and instantly make the team better (maybe not by contributing right away, but by competition). However, RB and DB are two of the deepest positions on the team and I do not see the team hurting next year without these two. Players that we need would be Ben Bradley and/or Toby Johnson. Again, please don't misread this and think that I do not want either of these two guys, I think it would be incredible to land both of these great talents.
