  1. And the game ball goes to. . . the Big Ten officials.
  2. That may or may not be true, I don't speak French, but I'm willing to be Nebraska goeth into the end zone more times than the Huskies this weekend! chuckleshuffle chuckleshuffle chuckleshuffle Ok, that was really funny..LOL.
  3. How many more times can you guys play the "we didn't want to be there card" about the holiday bowl All that tells me is that you doubt the team's heart and character. But as long as we're talking motivation, I think the dawgs have a little payback in mind in front of your fans. Look, I don't have any illusions that the Huskies are going to go into Lincoln and tear the place up. They'll be lucky to come away with a close win. But look, your lock down corners from last year graduated except the guy who is hurt, right? And he's, well, hurt. The offensive line the Huskies dominated in the Holiday bowl is essentially gone, right, so is the new line as good? The husky D line that dominated the Holiday bowl is back, with some stud backups. We still have Chris Polk, and some NFL talent at WR and TE. This is going to be a good game, I think. Remember, pride goeth before the fall.
  4. I think that is probably not an unreasonable prediction.
  5. Price's qb rating is 183. He can throw all day to a stable of receivers three deep. I think the one you don't want in a passing fest is Martinez if the huskies shut down nebraska's run game. By the way, the husky D is 7 in the country in run defense.
  6. Sorry, I didn't think it was any sillier than predicting a 50 point win. I had come over hoping to see some reasonable discussion, and instead I see predictions of 50 point win. Guess I lost my head for a minute.
  7. You guys kill me. The way Fresno pushed you around you think you're going to win by 50? I didn't think they had hard drugs in Nebraska. I have two words for you so you don't feel so bad this Sunday. Holiday Bowl.
  8. You have a great team. It is a crine that if Ohio State and Alabama go undefeated, the Huskers will not get a shot at the title. Just a crime. Shore up the run D a bit, and that D may be the best in the country.
  9. Thenarse should be careful what he wishes for. He might get it.
  10. Opened at 6 and was down to 4.5 yesterday.
  11. Do I understand correctly that against Idaho, your offense scored 24 points, with two pick sixes to make 38? 24 points against Idaho? In Lincoln? Really? I guarantee you Washington's defense, while not stellar, is light years ahead of Idaho. You'll be in a hostile stadium with a QB making his first career start on the road? How many points does that translate into against a superior team on the road? So the onus will be on your D to basically shut down Washington. From what I hear, Nebraska has a lights out D, so maybe it is possible. I think this is a three point game going into the 4th, and the last team with the ball could win it.
  12. Thanks for not flaming the new guy. I was a student the last time the Huskers came to town, and the Husker fans are some of the classiest traveling fans I've seen. In Fact, I have an aerial shot of the game (the first night game at husky stadium) on my office wall. And I agree you guys have awesome secondary. I think this is going to be a great Husker D against a great UW O, And a mediocre Washington D against a Mediocre Husker O. It's going to be low scoring. In the end, I'm afraid the Huskers will just be too physical for my dawgs. The Husky Oline is a question Mark. They looked much better last week against Cuse. Not too deep, and starting a couple of true Freshmen. I don't see though, how you just rush the D linemen. Locker is way too fast for a d lineman. The guy really is a freak of nature. I've never seen anything like him. We got off to a slow start at BYU and the special teams miscues kept in is poor field position all night. That was really a game that got away. I'm not saying you guys need to panic, but maybe a little healthy respect.
  13. Hello Husker fans. Not trolling. I just came over to see what you all were saying about the game. Frankily, I am a bit shocked at how you all are viewing this game? This is not going to be a cakewalk for the Huskers. The Huskies have the second most explosive offense in the Pac 10, after Oregon. And it isn't just Locker. They have six wideouts who could start at any pac 10 or big 10 school. Get used to the name Jermaine Kearse, you'll hear a lot of it Saturday. They also have a Sophomore RB named Chris Polk who set a Husky freshman record last year going over 1100 yds. The Huskers have not seen an offense like this yet this year. And Husky stadium is a tough place to play. Ask LSU and USC fans from last year how tough. It is true the Husky defense isn't great, but near as I can tell, neither is the Husker offense. Seemed like your young QB had as many fumbles as completions against Idaho. Do I think the Huskies will win? It's a long shot (the line is only 6 points - that should tell you something), but so was beating No. 4 (at the time) USC last year. I hope your team takes this game more seriously than its fans, or it might be a sad day in Lincoln come Saturday night. This is going to be a great game. Here's to good football and no injuries.
