  1. Thats what I was thinkin. BOSS
  2. Are we going to participate in the whole don't go after other committed big ten players unwritten rule? The Big Ten schools all seem to follow by that and it really causes an uproar when one of the member schools break it. A few years ago Eric Gordon committed to Bruce Weber and the Fighting Illini and then Sampson got in there and did some dirty recruiting and got him to Indiana. He not only felt the wrath of Illi but the other member schools were very peeved at Indy's recruiting tactics too. It seems like we would want to start our Big Ten tenure on a positive note, and I suspect we won't try to poach from other member schools unless the kid calls us first. Tevin Mitchell, Aaryn Bouzos, Ameer Abdullah etc. etc. etc. It happens in every conference all the time and is all fair game until signed. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!
  3. Position: Outside linebacker Hometown: Pelham, Alabama School: Pelham We have a VERY SOLID walk-on recruit in this kid. Have to check his highlights. Rivals
  4. Sorry I thought I was under the one paragraph limit or less.
  5. Position: Kicker Hometown: Boca Raton, Florida School: West Boca Raton Currently committed to Wake Forest, but Bo Pelini is visiting him tomorrow. Rivals Scout says he is one of the top kicker/punters in the country. ESPN has him 9th best kicker.
  6. Wish him well, but not a loss on our part.
  7. Arrington Jenkins (Miami, Fla./Coral Park) had such a good time visiting the University of Illinois this weekend that he canceled his scheduled trip to Nebraska that was slated for Sunday and Monday."I'll I can say is that I had a great time," Jenkins said on his way home from Champaign. "To go to Nebraska [on Sunday] wouldn't be right. It's just too much for four days and it wouldn't be fair." The four-star inside linebacker prospect was blown away by everything about the Fighting Illini and they now find themselves in major contention for his services."My high school coach (Steve Smith) coached one of their players in high school, Corey Liguet," Jenkins said. "He told me everything about them, good and bad. He told me the truth about Illinois. We went to their banquet and had a great time. I love the coaches, the players and facilities. Everything there just seemed right to me." Jenkins visited Minnesota last week but said the Gophers "can't touch" Illinois. If he doesn't make a trip to Nebraska next weekend it will be an Illinois-Florida State battle."I tell you what. If signing day were today I couldn't do it. I wouldn't sign," Jenkins admitted. "I will go home, get some sleep and then talk with my coach and my position coach and go through some things. If I can commit this week, I will. If not I may try and visit Nebraska next weekend."
  8. This sucks. He actually had the attitude of a guy that embraces cold weather, knowing if he wants to play pro ball he'd have to play in it. I liked that. Seriously time to put the full press on Virgile. Frickin Zook. What a joke. PS Good luck with that FSU thing since they are more or less waiting on Tony Steward or bust at LB PPS aspeedlin, screw it might as well put Darius Vick from Southeast on the most wanted cause the prospects are getting thin. I know Paul, today has really put a major damper on who I could put in the most wanted list. Thats the fun of recruiting though, its ups and downs. I was thinking either of Darien Bryant or Aaron Ernest in the list. I'd say Dexter Moody or Malcolm Moulton Someone on the HI free board posted that he watched Dexter play a couple of times this year and was not impressed, and he also said he would be surprised if Dexter still had a commitable offer in hand. Originally signed with Georgia in 2009 as an Under Armour All-American and ESPNU 150 prospect. I only seen a few highlights of the kid and he looked like an alright player. Not saying All Big 10, but could help the D in my mind. I'm not sold on any LB besides David at the moment. Moulton had 242 yards and 3 tds his first game this year. I have no idea how he played this year just letting you know what I have heard, but judging by the lack of info that leads me to blieve he either might a academic question or the staff just moved on from him. Just read that he didn't get the PT that he was looking for. Didn't have that productive of a season. So who knows the scenario here.

  11. Ya he's officially not going to Nebraska. We need to get Keeon Virgile.
  12. Ya they lost 5 1st team All-Big 10 Seniors on defense alone, so yes-- LAST year was good. Who would be on there?
  13. Brewster is back and yes he has a better chance at All-Big 10 honors than Caputo (this was a dark horse pick for sure that has stirred some commotion, but debate is what these sites are for). As for Daniels I see him having a break out season after Iowa losing the rest of their d-line. Daniels is very athletic and has broken many weight lifting records at Iowa, but needs to work on using his arms and better footwork. Yeah, I hear what you say. Time will tell. I just hope Daniels gets force-fed a huge helping of pancakes on 11/26. I live in Iowa and a Nebraska win is a must because all my friends, and family (besides brother, mom, and dad) are hawkeye fans. A year of listening to them? No thanks.

  15. As I said Caputo was my least likely player on here, but I haven't studied film on other o-lineman from the Big 10 to know enough who it would be due to the fact all the great lineman graduated or declared for the draft. Caputo was at least honorable mention in the big 12 while no one else on the line that returns got anything. Sure we can nitpick on 2 games, but look at the mizzou game where helu went untouched. Especially the 3rd td run Caputo did a nice job. For being young Sirles did well, but I seen him get worked countless times. BTW you don't have to be BIG to play the center position.
  16. Denard Robinson was the 2nd leading rusher in the NATION. He also threw for 2,500 yards and 18 tds. The kid can flat out play. Pryor is a stud, but you don't think missing the first 5 games and then having a rough first game back has any affect on being All-Big Ten? That's why I said it can change due to spring ball aka...Hoke could change things on offense too much, but I think he's smarter than that.
  17. You'd take Denard over Terrell? Denard might be explosive but Terrell has big wins. Good arm too. Especially for 2011, where Shoelace will have to learn a new offense. There's no way he belongs at #1 over Pryor. I left out the players who are suspended the first 5 games of the season. I think Pryor is better, but missing 5 games is crucial--and their sixth game is @ Nebraska.
  18. This is my own list and I don't see all the hate for Caputo. We lost two solid players in Williams and Henry and Caputo will do a good job next season on helping the interior out. For the first 2/3 of the season people were loving this guy and then we started losing games and everyone hates everyone on the offensive side of the ball. I look at the coaches for never throwing the ball over 5 yards and running the same zone read which allows the defense to attack our o-line knowing what were doing. To be honest he was my least likely person, but I like the kid.
  19. Offense QB – Denard Robinson (Michigan) RB – James White (Wisconsin) RB - Edwin Baker (Michigan St) TE – Kyler Reed (Nebraska) WR – Marvin McNutt (Iowa) WR - Roy Roundtree (Michigan) WR - Derek Moye (Penn St) OL – Mike Brewster (Ohio St) OL - Riley Reiff (Iowa) OL - Mike Adams (Ohio St) OL - Mike Caputo (Nebraska) OL - David Molk (Michigan) K – Dan Conroy (Michigan St) Defense DL – Jared Crick (Nebraska) DL - Vince Browne (Northwestern) DL - Mike Daniels (Iowa) DL - Kawann Short (Purdue) LB – Lavonte David (Nebraska) LB - Dwayne Beckford (Purdue) LB - Gary Tinsley (Minnesota) DB – Alfonzo Dennard (Nebraska) DB - Shaun Prater (Iowa) DB - Aaron Henry (Wisconsin) DB - Brian Peters (Northwestern) This is just my WAY EARLY list which can change after spring ball etc.
  20. Keeon is in the same boat because he is very high on North Carolina, but his last visit is to Lincoln. They would both be a steal, but Jenkins is the more highly rated player.
  21. He is real high on Florida St, but has visits left at Illinois and lastly Nebraska. We have landed some off the map guys late last year like Corey Cooper so I wouldn't be surprised, but FSU is his first priority. Just hope he's blown away on his visit. Carl Pelini had an in-home visit and swayed him to set an official visit.
  22. Player: Arrington Jenkins Hometown: Miami, Florida School: Coral Park Position: OLB Height: 6'2 Weight: 225 Scholarships: Florida St, Auburn, Illinois, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, West Virginia Rivals: :star Scout: :star ESPN: :star :star
  23. Based solely off of what's returning, I am willing to say Wisconsin and Ohio State are definitely better. Ohio State is better than us, but I'm with EZ when it comes to Wiscy. They are loosing alot of talent on both sides. The two backs they are returning are great players, but they will be breaking in a new QB, a whole new left side of their oline, and lost some key players on defense. So its more of a push with Wisconsin, IMO. QB - Neb RB - Wisc WR - Wisc TE - Neb O-Line - Wisc/Neb (they lose 2 All-Americans to the draft) D-Line - Neb LB - Neb DB - Neb
  24. I 100% agree. We are Nebraska people. Ohio State is the only team that I feel has top to bottom better talent next season(and it's close), and their top 3 players have to come their 1st game back and beat us in Lincoln. I like our chances on the season.
  25. The division names are flat our retarded. I also agree with having the last few games with the division your in. I think our division could definitely come down to Nebraska and Iowa which would make the game 100x more exciting (if that's possible).
