  1. huskerfaninbuckeyehell: What part of Buckeye hell are you in? I live in the eastern part near Wheeling, WV. What a bunch of worthless nuts, right? Although I love wearing my Nebraska clothes. Always get comments. My son is a bartender and he swears he's going to turn it into a Husker Nation! Proudly wears his Nebraska T-shirt and Blackshirts cap every Saturday to work.

  3. I've been a believer for a lot of years! Started paying attention to Big Red football when I was about 10. Got to see the Championship years of the early 70's and again the early 90's. Always proud to say I'm a Husker. Living in Ohio makes it even more fun. All the comments, criticisms, etc. Just makes me smile, because I have pride! Always have and always will! You just can't understand unless you're from Nebraska. Those boys played their hearts out Saturday. They came from a 3 touchdown deficit and dominated that 2nd half. Yes, the mistakes hurt and I'm sure they're well aware of it, but if they can learn and better themselves every day, then that's what matters. I will stand behind them.....no matter what. Now, we need to take care of business next week and keep getting better and better. I love those guys too and am always proud of them! GO BIG RED!!!
  4. Living only an hour from Pittsburgh, we got to go to the NU/Pitt game last year. Walking to the game was a treat! "There are the Cornhuskers!" "Where's your overalls?" "What a bunch of farmers!" I believe the Nebraska fans way outnumbered the Pitt fans in their own stadium. We stopped to eat on the way back home, and a Pitt fan comes out of his car, glared at us, and says with disgust, "Hmm. Nebraska fans." The guy gets his food and refuses to sit next to us. He went back to his car to eat! I'm sure if any of those people were in Lincoln this year they were treated very differently. Nebraska fans are the best!
  5. I'll do my best from Ohio! My flag is already out, my Nebraska tree will be lit up, I'll be in my red T-shirt screaming at the TV! Our boys really need us tomorrow, and I hope that stadium never has a quiet moment! Let's make Texas Tech wish they had never shown up! NOISE! NOISE! NOISE! Go Big Red!
  6. Know what you mean. My husband and I both love taking pictures! Our boys wrestled, played football, and baseball in high school, and like you said, you know what to look for ahead of time. OmahaChannel.com has a place to submit Husker photos. Have you checked it out? You should consider sending some of yours.

Texas Tech is going to be sorry they even showed up. They won't know what hit them.......... NU 21 TT 7. GO BIG RED!!! I had a flashback reading about the west stadium. I guess the old people still sit there. I remember in the 70's seeing a lady sitting there knitting!
  9. I agree, hunter..........Seems like the fans are back into it and they will definitely let them know who's stadium they are in!   10. I'm very impressed by the win! The game was not televised here in Ohio, but by some wonderful accident, my husband found ESPN Game Plan allows you to buy single games! What a game! The really looked like a team and seemed to have more maturity and a "togetherness" than in recent games. They all did a good job! I liked the B****** idea, but wish it could have been just the students section. How did the tailgate party go? Wish we could have been there!

  13. Happy 23rd Birthday to my son Dan! (He celebrated by experiencing his first Husker game in Lincoln this past Saturday!) He thought he was in heaven and is definitely ready to go back for more! We also got to have our "3 generation day" with Mom. Had a great time. The tailgate party was awesome!

  15. That's "kick ass girlfriend"! But that's OK........when my boys were little they used to tell me that Mom's aren't supposed to like football..... until I told them that THIS one does! My son is a bartender in Ohio working his way through college, and on Game Day, he wears his Nebraska jersey! He tells everybody his Mom is from Nebraska and he loves the Huskers! I'm so proud of him. Our other son has turned toward the Dark Side........he's a Buckeye! Just can't seem to get through to him! Anyway......hope we play well, but no matter what.......there is NO place like Nebraska!!
  16. I was on the "waiting list", and got 3 tickets! Just happened to check my email early that night, and was sure surprised! We're going to have a "3 generation" day........Mom, me, and my son! We can't wait. We're flying from Ohio to Omaha and will take Mom (who lives on Omaha) to the game! My son is Ohio born, but a Husker fan! This will be his first game! We have south end zone seats........but who cares?! We're there! Hope for a big win! GO BIG RED!!
