  1. Not only did this make my day....it made about 20 of my friends days via emailing the thread. Sorry man! This is going viral.
  2. Many cases, a MCL injury can take 3 - 4 months to truly heal. All depends tho. Likely it could easily injur again if its not 100% back to norm. Pretty fragile and painful. Been there myself. Wish I could say it was a football injury. Was playing Pool of all things and stepped weird walking around the table. Running was tough for months. Beer likely had nothing to do with this injury....... Hahahaaaaaaaa
  3. Yea, at first, I thought it was just sheer explosiveness that was going to do it...but your last comment is why I am so confident now. Even with all the weapons and longevity......it's pretty impressive.
  4. In 2010, after the KState game, I made a bet with my pops that TM would be invited to NY for the Heisman ceremony, if not win it, before he graduates. Only has to get there tho, like Suh did, not win the trophy to win the bet. He laughed at me and told me no way in hell would it happen, shook my hand and was excited to kick my a$$ in this wager. Bet is: Loser has to buy dinner and drinks for the entire family (4 siblings, spouses, kids, pops and Mom) at the restaurant of choice of the winner. We both have expensive taste, particularly when it's not on our own dime........ At the time, not a bad bet. Last year he was rubbing it in HARD 'cause it looked all but impossible. At times this year, it's been back and forth, of course.....but leaning back in my favor. This really doesn't have anything to do with my question, however it really baffles me that he is so far in the rear view mirror of B Miller at tOSU in terms of Heisman hype when I don't think there is any question that TM is just plain better, pound for pound. That UCLA game, in hindsight, really set the tone for how that has played out......but I digest.....(yes, I know that's spelled wrong) Also, I don't post often, but if you search my history...you'll see that I'm not a fairweather fan of the guy...been propping him up through thick and thin. As most are now of the same feeling, the guy is just a warrior and a damn good football player. Anywho: On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being NO CHANCE and 10 being 100% CHANCE, will TM at least be in NY next season for the ceremony as a candidate? I'll go first: 9.5 barring injury.
  5. I much prefer low and slow smoked peas. Mmmmmmmm
  6. Excellent. Just let me know my good sir and we'll finalize logistics. This should be a great event for vegetarians.
  7. It would absolutely be worth it to lose in embarrassingly epic fashion just to have the chance to have a "grill-off" against you guys. I gotta warn you, though - I make a wicked prime rib, and my short ribs are pretty damned good. All rubs and BBQ sauce homemade, of course. This might be a Spring Game idea. You folks busy around the second weekend in April? Actually - this would be a PERFECT time to do it. April is wide open for us. Contests start in February, nothing in March / April and pick back up in May. I already have tix for our family from the cancellation last year. Let's mark it down on the calendar. Where did you guys tailgate this year? Room enough to get a good sized trailer in there? I have a couple of options...smaller cooker only trailer and a 22' enclosed toy hauler with kitchen.
  8. Somehow....I missed that this was going on...I don't post often, but spend a ridiculous amount of my work day on here Someone PM me next time. Our competition BBQ Team would love to join and cook for the gang. Check us out www.bbqrevolution.com We were on BBQ Pitmasters on TLC and reside right here in Omaha. We'll haul our custom pit, the 'Lil' Chub' down to Lincoln and have a throw down against knapp!! Seriously....let me know. If any of you are in Omaha for the Superbowl, we're cooking at the Bottomless Glass on 174th and Center (the old Red Eye). Come see us, take down a flabongo and get some meat.
  9. Not to mention his bloodline also stems from Vince Ferragamo and his cousin is Jay Moore.......
  10. I bought 10 as well. I love the spring game atmosphere and it is really nice for those we little ones (I have a 5 and 2 year old) that want to take thier kids to a game, but not fork out too much dough. Mainly in case they get antsy and want to bail at halftime, the price is right for a situation like that. Can't wait to head down next week....and if it's nice, I'm gonna be cooking some Q. Anyone is welcome to come find Hot Grill on Grill Action and eat some grub!
  11. Hell - he could have been catching a ball...not even throwing it!!!!
  12. This has been done (with great success) at NU for years...... Carl Crawford would have come here...Lord would have been an All American DB.
  13. hahah......that shirt is LONG past being able to be purchased. It was actually one of my uncle's shirts..... AND Shipping bbq is tough! I tried once with dry ice (like Omaha Steaks does) - and the receiver got a pile of mush.....lol. Come down (anyone) and visit us at an event if we are in your area...or drive! Just find the red head with the long goatee and tell me I said so on HB. We'll feed ur faces. Friday night's are the time to come hang with us...we like to party it up. This schedule is updated regularly and is current as of today: http://www.bbqrevolution.com/bbq-events/
  14. Hahaha...Sorry Knapp. I should have posted it here at that time...I was a member...but more of a lurker at the time. If we get on this one - I'll be sure to let you know! In the mean time...enjoy the reruns on TLC, Discovery, Planet Green or any other of the quazillion Discovery channels out there! Our episode was "Butt Out".....and aired on 8/12/10 And for anyone wondering...YES....I was pestering Sapp about the 94 Orange bowl...AND the fact that Monte taught him everything he knows in TB. He didn't like it too much, however he still gave me a cigar. I actually wore my T-shirt with the characature of Sapp wearing an oxegyn mask. Sapp is kind of a db actually. Not as funny as I thought he'd be and for some reason HATES mayo based slaw! It was the KFC knockoff recipe for gosh sakes!
  15. Hahahahaha.....ah......the Cole Slaw incident... Long story short....our team was on TLC's BBQ Pitmasters Season 2...and lost by one point BECAUSE OF COLE SLAW! Cost us $100K. We're trying to get back on for redemption! Yea man - pellet smokers are awesome! We have run a few and are fabricating our own now. Our first smoker, The Lil Chub, is a stick burner with a control unit. The new pellet rig, we're calling "The Timber Turd Burner"!!! www.bbqrevolution.com if you guys wanna check us out. Got recipes, reviews and (cheap plug) a competition bbq book for sale.
  16. Sent in an audition tape to BBQ Pitmasters. We were on Season 2....want to redeem ourselves from "The Cole Slaw Incident" (If you saw the show...you know what I'm talking about). Check out our audition!
  17. Topic says it all. Sorry if this has been posted before.
  18. LOL...yea good point(s). I'm directionally challenged...what can I say.
  19. NU starting to become a Lions farm club! 23. Detroit Lions -- Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska The Lions could also turn to Jenkins, but Dennard is a lot tougher. The 5-foot-10 cornerback doesn't back down, even though there is a real fear he'll struggle against tall receivers. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/andrew_perloff/01/10/2012.nfl.mock.draft/index.html#ixzz1jATOJNoe [/left]
  20. We ran that play to the right with Turner way back in one of the noncon games and I've been wanting to see it again ever since. Yea...I remember that too. One of the best plays we have. Works out of the diamond, pistol, you name it.
  21. Way too high, we need to be around 20-25 IMO. With an inconsistent QB, OL, and a suspect defense there is no way we should be considered on of the top 13 teams in the country. http://espn.go.com/c...rly-2012-top-25 I'm with Knapp on this one. Why does everyone think this? TM wasn't the inconsistent one this season. There were so many games that, without drops, his completion percentage is north of 80%. He takes away 1, if not 2, defenders every single play - just due to the threat factor.
