The regrettable fact is, they've won more Big XII football championships than we have. So if they're our pets, we're really not very bright petowners, now are we? Besides, with the possible exception of a few stray cheerleaders, I don't think we WANT pets from Oklahoma. It's hard enough keeping those darned Aggies in their place....

Kenny Vaccaro...big time safety...never came back into the game. Emanuel Acho (another big-time guy) had to have his knee/upper calf attended to. Y'all knocked a couple of our guys out of the game. But thanks for the thought. We hope they weren't seriously hurt, either.

Oh, now...be honest, Warlord. When you look at it dispassionately, wouldn't it be nice to have one more shot at us in the Big XII Championship? Between winning today, and winning the conference, I'd think you'd find it much sweeter to win the conference...especially if you get to beat us in the process. And if that's the worst thing any of you says about the Longhorns on these boards, there are fans from a whole bunch of boards that need to come hang out here and study "class." GBR. Hope we can meet again, in December. It's funny, up until tonight all I wanted was to face Oklahoma one last time in the title game. Now I would love nothing more than to get another shot at Texas. *chuckle* And we'd love nothing more than for you to have that shot!

Classy thoughts. Mack has stated that TO is one of his heroes, and that he enjoys the cordial (classy) reception we get when we come to Lincoln...and the nearly unique combination of sportsmanship and passion that your fans embody. He was struck by the NU fans chanting "Heisman, Heisman" at Ricky Williams after his game in Lincoln. I've experienced your class firsthand, and it astounded me. At the first Big XII Championship (don't tell anyone, but I was torn...I love UT, but wanted Nebraska to win 3 straight national championships; woulda turned out to be 4, had we not screwed it up), despite the fact the Horns had just dashed your hopes for the NC, over a dozen different NU fans made a point of congratulating me over the victory. I also recall with distaste a few drunk UT fans who demonstrated the dark side of the sportsmanship spectrum. We hate to see y'all leave the Big XII. One more December game with you would be nice, and fitting--whoever wins.

That's an excellent point. Y'all knocked out a couple of our starters. (Good thing we're playing Iowa State, next week.)

Oh...and two more important things. Y'all still retain your class, and your sense of humor. The OU fans wouldn't be having a conversation anything like this.

If Nebraska wins out, you're the Big XII North champs. Even if we (UT) win out, Texas needs some help, before we can all have one last reunion in December. And heck, the biggest psychological distraction is now behind the Huskers. Y'all are a great team, worthy heirs to a great program. And--although I disagree this is a "bright side," because I love having my two favorite teams in the same conference--you're going to the Big Ten, next year. There are LOTS of bright sides, folks. This game doesn't define either the program or the team.
