  1. I, like the OP stated, would also be upset if I was in your shoes. However, I just don't think you can lay all of the blame for the loss on the officiating. We had OU at Kyle Field three weeks ago and had a similar situation with the officiating. It seemed every call went their way at crucial moments throughout the game. Oklahoma ended up with 4 penalties for 29 yards and we ended up with 13 for 83. Again, this was AT KYLE FIELD! The difference was that we played well enough to take it out of the ref's hands. You guys can scream all you want about the officiating, but none of you have acknowledged the other areas of the game that played just as big of a role in the loss, if not bigger, than the officiating. You had two turnovers on drives that could have lead to points. You failed to capitalize on three possessions that started at midfield. THREE! Our terrible punting put you in favorable field position all night. If you manage to drive 25 yards on just one of those possessions, then it could have been a completely different ball game. You had 3:02 left on the clock for your final drive and, once again, you failed to produce points. Many of have said the questionable roughing the passer penalty gave us an "automatic" field goal because it put us on the 35 yard line. Not true. Our kicking game, as I am sure you noticed, is still a work in progress. No way was that an "automatic" 3 points for us. Even after the penalty, we drove for another 32 yards. Again, you had multiple opportunities to stop us and force a field goal of greater difficulty. Take a step back and look at the big picture. We are not part of some "Big 12 conspiracy" that is determined to see you fall. Crap, when it comes to your beef with the Big 12 and Beebe being a lap dog for Deloss Dodds, we are right there with you. Please don't lump us in with them. I can understand your being upset, but there were other factors well within your control that lead to the loss. Once again, we sure do not wish you guys any ill will and hope you have great success in the Big 10.
  2. Bull. You had two turnovers that took away scoring opportunities. You had three drives start at midfield that you failed to convert into any points.
  3. Did we steal the 60 yards we gained after the penalty? Was the call questionable? Sure. Did you have additional opportunities to stop us after the penalty? Yes. You also turned the ball over two times. Was that part of "the fix," too? Come on, guys. Again, I think it was just a hard fought game that went down to the wire. No, it wasn't. The Iowa State game was a hard fought game that went down to the wire. This was an abomination. I'd have a lot more respect for you if you just shrugged your shoulders and said, "The refs definitely did us some favors in that game and I'm sorry it couldn't have been a cleaner matchup. Best of luck to y'all in the future." Why do you insist on trying to pretend like this was a "hard fought" even handed game? Is it to make yourselves feel better when you look at your win-loss column? Whatever you need to do to feel better about beating us by a field goal at your house, with our starting QB out half the game, and some pretty shady officiating. Just do me a favor. Change your BS from "12th Man" to "12 men and 5 guys in stripes." You could have your own sitcom. Was it our fault your QB was out half the game? No! Your offensive lineman got his butt driven back 7 yards into the backfield. Good grief you guys play the victim card like nothing I have ever seen before. Hands to the face. Caputo (the center) got his helmet clean ripped off on that play. You have got to be kidding me. That's bull and you know it. He got his butt kicked. PERIOD. Eddie Brown had both his hands on the outside of Caputo's shoulder pads. He had him out leveraged and drove him back. If anything made Caputo's helmet come off, it was his own shoulder pads coming up over his face. The play starts at the 10 second mark. http://espn.go.com/ncf/video?gameId=303240245
  4. 16-2. Is it really that hard to imagine why we feel hosed? I repeat, 16-2. Go back and watch every one of Cyrus Gray's carries and tell me that A&M miraculously did not commit one single holding penalty in the entire game. Nice hands to the face on that play that knocked Caputo into Martinez, BTW. So now it's not just the calls, but the lack of calls. Did you stop to think that maybe Pelini's out of control behavior might have influenced this even just a little bit. There is a difference between working a ref and spitting and screaming in his face. Pelini did not do himself, your team, or your university any favors this evening. It was not just the refs. His tirade directed at Martinez before the half was just as disturbing. I truly hate that you guys are leaving the conference with such a sour taste in your mouth towards A&M. Again, best of luck in the future.

  6. Of course you do. You're not going to admit that some of penalties were just plain bad calls by the officials, some at crucial moments that probably kept your team in the game or comment on one of your players molesting one of ours on national television. Probably the biggest missed call in terms of seriousness made by the officials all night in fact. Just a hard fought game that went down to the wire. Give me a break... I stand corrected. We gained an additional 32 yards after the penalty. You failed to acknowledge that your two turnovers took away possible scoring opportunities. Also, look at the good field position that you guys failed to capitalize on. You had three possessions starting at midfield (48,47,49) that you failed to convert into any points.
  7. Whatever. We'll see how it plays out. Again, best of luck with the rest of the season and your future endeavor with the Big 10.

  9. He was just standing there getting ready to do his post-game show and your gem of a coach went by and trashed his camera. They have it on video, so have fun with that. I thought it was a hard fought game that went down to the wire. I still think you guys are a class fan base and I wish you guys the best in the Big 10. Pelini boys need to be medicated.
