If that style was designed for Michigan's throwbacks, then why did they incorporate that design in our uniforms? Expect to see UCLA and Tennessee to pop out with similar unis by next year. Despite the complete lack of creativity, the all red/black scheme is too much. Why does everyone love our uniforms so much? Because the contrast in color between the scarlet and cream is fantastic. It's two-toned and simple. Red and black?!? There is zero color contrast. It looks gaudy on the video and may look even worse on the field. I realize I am kind of going off about the uniforms, which Is silly, but I'm almost embarrassed because outside of Nebraska and Wisconsin's fan bases, everyone is laughing at what we came up with and It's going to be worse on national television. With that said, I don't want Nike for the swoosh on the gear or for pro combats. But from a performance standpoint, Nike, and I would even argue Under Armour in specific areas, are miles above adidas, reebok etc. Nebraska has always held itself to the highest standard in collegiate athletics. It's evident by the trophies, fan base expectations, and the millions of dollars we are pumping into state of the art facilities. So why should we settle for second rate gear? What we wear is really not Important at all in the grand scheme of things, but I just do not understand why everyone defends Adidas so vigorously.

I really liked when Michigan wore this uniform style. I'm not sure if It is just the color scheme but thse two are just not as cool. The throwbacks we wore for the 300th sellout were perfect. That's exactly what youre looking for whena team with traditional uniforms is in the market for some alternates. I like that Adidas is trying, but jeez. I vote for Nike. Look at what they did for ohio st, Oklahoma, and texas etc.

I am a student at Iowa and i have a few notes on this game. -the university doesn't include the Nebraska game In the regular group of student tickets. It's an extra ticket that is optional and they are charging an extra 15 dollars per ticket. There has been some big games in kinnick and I have never paid more than 60 dollars for a ticket. Any ideas as to Why they would do this? -there are plenty of scalpers outside of kinnick and its usually not overly expensive. So dont be too concerned if you make the trip to iowa city without a ticket. -the easist tickets to get are student tickets. You can find a wasted girl outside the stadium and snag a ticket for 20 bucks most games. Kinnick is so laid back with student tickets. I didnt get checked for my Id once this year so if you're under 25, that might be an option to explore. -I don't expect a large amount of students to make the game. A large percentage of students live at least 2 hours away and I dont forseeable them making the trip back for the game. Especially if the hawks are hovering around .500 which I completely expect them to me We better red out this stadium. Hawk fans think they are the greatest fan base in thw world and all they do is bash husker fans. Let's show them what they are made of.

For once I'm rooting for iowa and they need to beat sparty today if we have a chance to play in indy. So far..not so good. Mich st is up 14-0 in the first and iowa can't move the ball.

I hope you're right, but I have a feeling we aren't going to see a completely different team on Saturday. Sure we'll be pumped up and ready to play against Wisconsin, but we'll just continue to get better over the season and won't be the same team come November/December. I don't think we can make THAT dramatic of a change by Saturday, but I would love to see it. it doesnt necessarily have to be a dramatic change to make a huge impact. On offense i think a fan favorite is increased tempo. i think in the big ten and more specifically against wisconsin, this could make a huge difference. Weve seen that we can move the ball without a "no-huddle" and that just addes another wrinkle for the defense to worry about. Defensively we dont even necessarily have to change schemes. Get the right personnel on the field and we will be relatively successful.

at the end of kinnies interview he was asked if he thought beck was holding some things back on the offense. He replied with something about how he doesnt know what the strategy is, he just runs the plays that are called. if you have played football on any level you know that statement is bs. I think this entire board is getting the feeling we haven't shown everything on both sides of the ball.
