    My neighbor kid shots another kid in the shoulder with a pellet gun on purpose and his reward, a new dirt bike.  Awesome parenting.

      This sounds like one of those issues where you guys just see things differently.  More than likely your kids and her kids will turn out fine...it will just be annoying for you for a bit.

      I hope she'll enjoy visiting him in prison some day when he does have consequences to deal with in real life that she can't get him out of or reward him for.

      It sounds like he hasn't shot every kid in town yet.  The parents probably thought the dirt bike would extend the kids range :facepalm:
