There was a lot of mention of shuffling and reorganizing internally and I quietly suspected brown would become more of a front office guy with recruiting coordinator role and retain a position coaching. If he is no longer coaching it would be his decision and would shock me.

I think nexus is on to something with Burton Burns.

Although nothing is official it would appear after beck is promoted that the Rb position needs to be filled and after shuffling coaches I don't see any guy currently on squad that is overly qualified for Rb coach. I've heard a couple names but none by anyone in the know. I love nexus' idea of hitting up Alabama. Anyone have scoop on who may be next at Rb coach?

I'd venture to say you are correct in the shuffling of duty.

Sometimes especially at Nebraska thinking big as you say can hurt cause its a whole sale change in fundamentals and traditions. We all know how well that went over in the Callahan years.

Even if an 11th hour deal is reached with frost we still need another coach. Gonna be late next week before any of us REALLY know officially who is N.

I don't know for certain but beck is going to atleast have a hand in calling plays from what I've heard. That leaves frost or warinner with a co whatever they become. Better than what frost has now. I actually believe from tom and bo's demeanor lately that frost is a tough sell and drives a hard bargain. The ship has either set sail or its about to sink. I personally have a feeling frost ends up N although current mood and actions say otherwise. But the best coaches are hard to get and deals can happen last minute.

Things have gotten really quiet suddenly around here. Good or bad take it for what its worth. I've not seen or hear anyone talking about a presser. Hmmm.

All that really matters is to put the coaching staff back together before it truly becomes a circus. Everyone who is a husker fan just wants it to be over and if pelini said ...Watson is not coming back and he's looking for a oc then its all over media we are in shambles. If you introduce a new staff all at once and say then what happened it all appears smooth and in control. It's very uncommon to hire 4 guys in a week. Its never perfect when something like this happens.

There is no doubt Nebraska is looking for a oc. But bo doesn't flat out lie. It's a technicality ...I don't know law but until a pay schedule and contract runs out your employed. Unless your fired but Noone has been fired. Perhaps someone has been hired by handshake and so there is no opening like previous poster said but bo doesn't flat out lie.

Bo speaks truth. There are no offensive positions open right now. Not to say there won't be soon. But Watson gilmore cotton brown and beck are all on the payroll still. Officially we have no offensive openings. Is it ridiculous, yes. Is it true, yes.

The timeline for everything was a little messed up because of an internal issue with decisions and such. Administration wasn't sure what they would do or how it would be handled and so it caused this thing to maybe be dragged out longer than it needed to be but it will all work out.

I'm fairly certain once plans are finalized it will include a press conference that is a all encompassing question and answer session regarding all coaching positions moving forward.

I don't think the press conference will be until next week. There will have to be some things sorted out internally with contract signing and a team meeting to introduce coaches to players I suspect. Atleast one position remains unfilled. Gonna be a long weekend.

Still think bo needs to be a little more media friendly even if he says I can't comment on that yet. With todays internet and media frenzy any deception or non communication through denial or silence only worsens the frenzy and accusations and ESPN is as good as anyone at making up story where they don't exist.

I find it interesting we get jacked over for having a coach get in trouble and resigning days or hours before signing day, yet dirty crap in the sec and all over goes on everyday and ESPN turns a deaf ear. If a recruit commits to a school it should be for a program...fan base...education and personal growth not for just one coach. Coaches change and teams schemes change. Programs like Nebraska are always strong ....ESPN can go lick themselves.

Some of your attitudes toward bo are delusional and your negativity is impressively uncalled for. Robsker wants to fire a guy who has won 9, 10 and 10 games in 3 seasons. Good luck finding a replacement. Especially if pelini was fired for that kind of success ...as I remember urban Meyer turned neb down for that reason when solicit was fired. People need to relax.

Coaches were upfront to the offensive guys about what was coming. Bo did not commit the sins of sanders and wanted sanders to remain on the staff. When something unofficial and unresolved happens days before signing you have hands tied. I don't blame bo. I moved on and forgive and forget. Just like Charles Jackson will. On to spring ball.

Bo made all of his decisions based on a slow, thought out, fair and logical examination of everything. It's not like we made a list of people with Nebraska ties. Coaching is about chemistry friendships and ties. The right choices are being made and the right people are being looked at. Nothing said on huskerboard will affect pelinis decisions. Relax. Enjoy the results and don't dwell on the negative.

Although I can't prove it I strongly believe the plan all along was for bo to be there but mother nature had other plans for the last couple days and certain business ventures had to be undertaken.

Cotton agrees with what bo wants to do. Watson gilmore sanders is not a coincidence but Bo's absence is not because he is fired. Simply unavailable...hence a teleconference instead of a presser. Clear your schedules tommorow.

Let's hope for the recruiting coup of the decade here. Jalen would bolster a strong finish. I expect only to get virgile and maybe peat. Turene or jalen....huge.

Pelini loves to not give media much time or attention. If anything big is indeed gonna happen, knowing pelini he will probably just post it in a memo and cancel any interviews and ban team members from saying anything. Lol. Have not seen much activity in recent hours. Athletic dept lips on lockdown.

First off......I don't proclaim to have a guy. Even if I do. It would get me fired. Second I know stuff no one else knows but can't say or I'd be fired cause it would be clear how or who I got it from. There are going to be changes on the staff. Some of it is organizational and some is because of evaluative conclusion. It's not going to come to light until wed night but 3 events happened already. If I'm wrong my sources screwed me. if its anything like watson fired or gilmore gone or cotton replaced ill be super excited but why would pelini wait til 2 days before nsd to announce it. Id say its a new LB coach or a NEW rule put in place for offseason or something mundane and boring. Im excited though to find out for what its worth.
