  1. You are quick with the childish insults (so is my 3 yr. old nephew)....well done.... Washington is FAR, I said FAR, from a lower level college team... Maybe you noticed that the Pac-12 is pretty stout (Oregon, Stanford, USC, Arizona St.). Washington has a hell of an offense, and should give Baylor a helluva game....
  2. This is somewhat of a surprise. I think Garrison would have been a better fit. He's been with the program longer and probably knows better than Kaz what Bo is looking for. Also he is supposedly extremely organized which is a valuable trait for the RC. I would imagine that Garrison, and all coaches for that matter, will be heavily involved in deciding who, and how we go after prospects. I like Kaz as the choice, but I was hoping that Papuchis would have kept the title.... JP has gotten us in the doors of some top prospects this year....
  3. Our first 5 games were against 4 high school quality teams and one lower level college team in Washington. Anyone that played could have looked good against them. My point is that he came here as a QB and if you are going to play him at WR and burn his RS, then you are going to have to take the bad with the good aka blocking. And then to bench him when we hit the meat of the schedule it a waste of the season. It would have made more sense to keep him playing or just don't play him at all. You do know that Washington made it to the Alamo bowl? Wyoming was also in a bowl game as well. Our 5th game was against the Big10 champ Wisconsin... Other than Wisky, it still stands true, For some reason I thought we played one of our other scrub teams before Wisky. As for Wyoming, yes they made a bowl and were dominated by the powerhouse Temple Owls. Yea, that's a quaity 8-5 team. Washington is 7-5 and likely to be 7-6 after their bowl game. Dare we talk about how lucky we were to win that game? Then you throw in the two games against the schools of the blind deaf and dumb and it further proves how easy of a schedule we really had. The really funny part is that over the years we as NU fans have always claimed that the B1G was overrated due to their "name" teams that just weren't very good. Well, that didn't change when NU joined the conference, but now a lot of NU fans are sounding a lot like the UM and tOSU fans that we were debating with over the years. Show me ONE high school team in the country that could do that....
  4. That might be overstating it a little bit.... I think that Alvarez came from a program that was well-rounded, and did things the right way. He saw it as a model of success, and he used that knowledge when building their program. Wisconsin is it's own program, and a step above Missouri for sure.... See I can agree with that. Moderation and civility go a long way. The idea that one school owes another school anything is kind of ridiculous. Do we owe Iowa for Brett? That's where he learned so much of the defense that was in many ways missing under Barry...and he has a Hawkeye tattoo....Will OSU owe UF everything? Does Clemson owe LSU? Hahahaha...Wait... Really? Yea really... ...it took me awhile to trust the guy.. http://rivals.yahoo....rn=ncaaf-278898 Besides, don't feel bad.... I give you Pelini's leg....

Lets just assume that Wisconsin did want to be Nebraska, and Barry wanted Wisconsin to replicate NU....There would be no reason to be offended by that, if anything it would be a compliment to our program....That is, IF it were the case, and it is not....

  9. On a Wisconsin related note: Has Monte Ball decided if he is staying in school yet? Has Wisconsin foulnd another transfer QB yet to replace Wilson....
  10. I'm not going to bash Wisconsin, because it is a fine University, but it is easy to pick out things that a certain school is good at and compare it to another that might not be as good in some areas. Watch.... Football-- Nebraska Volleyball-- Nebraska Wrestling-- Nebraska Baseball-- Nebraska Most schools around the country can play that game, so I wouldn't crown Wisconsin for those reasons. It would also be easy to take one man's (Van Pelt) comment and use it to make an argument for Wisconsin as the "greatest school ever". There has been a lot of nice things said, about a lot of universities. Please don't dig up more Pro-Wisconsin comments to prove your point, I'm not going to be convinced, nor should you waste your valuable time. Again, Wisconsin is a great university, but to come on here and act like it is head n' shoulders, or even better then Nebraska is arrogant, and ridiculous. But if you want to crown Wisconsin, then......
  11. He can take comfort in knowing that Tommie Frazier isnt standing on the sideline across from him....
  12. I would agree with you to an extent, but there is a reason Bama, LSU, and Oregon are where they are.... They get the top kids.... They dont all pan out, but the more 5 star, and 4 star guys you get, the better you'll be....
  13. Sadly, as extreme as some of your nonsense is, it actually probably has more potential for being accurate than the nonsense of the extreme homer who is ready to crown Bo as a great coach already because he's won 9 games every year for 4 years. I personally like to stay a little more down the middle on my views, but I get where you're coming from on a lot of stuff. I think a lot of your views are backed by fact and a lot of the sunshine pumper's views are backed by hope and blind faith. You think Bo not being concerned about the performance of his team is backed up by fact? What facts? You have 4 years of 9+ wins (3 straight years of 10 wins if we beat SC) then you are a really, really good coach.... There is a reason that all of these schools are interested in Bo.... HINT: Its the 38/39 wins in four years....
  14. Definitely from an immediate impact stance. When your gut tells you something, you run with it (usually to the bathroom)....
  15. I would have liked to see an answer, but we all know Bo is more concerned with grudges with reporters than in placating fans. Yep!!
  16. Business School tells me to be careful how you conclude the meaning of nonverbal messages.... So I tell you to be careful how you conclude the meaning of nonverbal messages....
  17. Any encouraging information, or just a feeling that you have?
  18. Its not clear who's agent talked to who but Bo was asked point blank by reporters today to acknowledge his commitment to Nebraska Football and he DID NOT. He brushed it aside and completely ignored it which goes to show how lucky we arent Um, he was asked by Eric Olsen, who happens to have one of the biggest chips on his shoulders against NU and specifically Bo Pelini among the local reporters. Bo doesn't like him, and in this instance I think he's justified. Olsen can't write an article without cracking on the Huskers. Knapp, I agree with your assessment of Eric Olsen, but if you are asked a question about your commitment to Nebraska, you HAVE to answer that question. You HAVE too....Its an easy answer for a committed person.... Ding, Ding, Ding we have a winner! By the way, he did answer the question What was the answer??

  20. Do you believe that? With all of the speculation of Bo leaving so constant, I am starting to find it hard to believe him when he shoots down all the possibilities.... I don't know if Bo interview for Ohio. St., Miami, or Penn St.... BUT, if he did we should encourage him to leave.... I am very PRO BO, and I want him to be here his whole career, but we can't have a coach that is constantly looking elsewhere. It is bad for the program's progress... I want Bo to stay, but not if he doesn't want to long term.... Wasn't longevity/commitment one of the things that Osborne mentioned when interviewing candidates for the job....
  21. Hopefully he picks Nebraska.... This is a must get for Pelini, our class needs some quality growth, especially since it seems Westerkamp might be on his way to Notre Dame....
  22. Goodbye, Jordan.... It really is a shame that these kids listen to these schools that come in late....
