This is really quite clear. This is what happens when a team waits until weeks after the season to start recruiting candidates. Damn near every team in the country was chopping heads the minute their last game finished. Nope, not NU-they apparently screwed around and let everyone with a decent resume get sucked up by someone else. It's quite similar to trying to figure out what to do in mid Feb. after your OC has been turned down by every job in the country, and you're still stuck with him. Somebody needs to pull their head out, and get with the program-because NU was left picking up table scraps trying to put a staff together.

I think people are just frustrated that it wasn't a big "Wow!" hire. You act like all the sunshine pumpers here KNEW that we'd get Scott Frost, that next years offense would be as good as Oregon's was this year, and we were going to shock the world and make a run at the title. Oh wait, they thought they did, and that we were going to. Welcome to the internety.

Looks to me like they just said that Beck is the next OC.

That would definitely depend on what you view Christianity as being. Most evangelicals would likely counter that his additional reputation for it isn't additional at all, it's proper reputation for someone that actually lives it out. I don't know any of the coaches on the staff personally and would never dream of making any judgments about where they are or are not spiritually, all I know is that Jesus and Paul both taught that Christians would be known to the world by the fruit they produce, and I see Ron Brown producing good fruit, I haven't yet witnessed that with anyone else on the coaching staff. Like I said, that could very well be because I am only a fan with no connections or no perspective, and I really, really pray that that would be the case There's a big difference between being a Christian and a bible thumper. Believe whatever you want to believe, but don't be shoving your beliefs down my throat. Oh yeah, and if I'm ever near your pastor, tell him to stay away from my zipper. Organized religion is run by nothing but a bunch of tax ducking child molesters. I'll stop now.

He's coming. It's just the matter of negotiations and each side fighting for as much as they can get. He'll end up taking Co-OC & and a fat check.
