  1. Good luck to those who have Dish Network. Dish Network and BTN contract is up on September 1st and they still haven't reached an agreement. You would think they would've settled on an agreement weeks ago knowing Football was just around the corner. I want my BTN Dish Thanks. I wasn't aware of that and I am a Dish Network subscriber. I just called Dish to voice my displeasure with the possibility of them dropping BTN. I was told by the Dish Rep that they don't plan on losing BTN, but they still don't have an agreement yet. Hope something happens between now and the first (and probably only) Nebraska game that is aired live on BTN.
  2. For everyone's information, the BTN will televise a replay of the Nebraska vs Southern Mississippi game on 9/2/2012 at 12PM, 10PM and on 9/3/2012 at 7AM. It's a 2 hour show.
  3. Terrell Newby selected to MaxPreps Preseason All Southern California Football Team. MaxPreps selected someone other than Johnny Stanton for QB. http://www.maxpreps.com/news/Y8plPyGKbU-EtXdZj-853w/maxpreps-2012-preseason-all-southern-california-football-team.htm
  4. Didn't see this posted anywhere and wasn't sure if I should start a thread about this, but for all of you Johnny Stanton fans, Rancho Santa Margarita will play in a nationally televised game against Brophy Prep on Saturday night, 25 August 2012, at 9:00 P.M on ESPN2. Set your DVR's. http://www.azcentral...ardobert/169899
  5. It's on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmwYT0P5cys
  6. I don't see Qvale's name mentioned. I read something recently that said in Beck's opinion he was one of the most improved players in spring ball.
  7. Don't know, but he's committed to South Dakota State. Here's an article on him and the Class D State Track Meet. http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/1854069.html
  8. Just checked ESPN2 schedule for 6:30 P.M. on Sunday evening. Shows Whip-Around coverage including Kansas vs...
  9. Game against Kansas to be televised on ESPN2. http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=205397617
  10. Mike Shoff wins Nebraska Class D State High School Wrestling Championship. Would have liked to see what he could have done playing football for us. http://www.mccookgazette.com/story/1818001.html
  11. Nebraska holds on for the win in triple overtime 93-89.
  12. The ladies are currently in triple overtime and lead Purdue 88-84. Go ladies!!!
  13. Back in the late 70's while serving in the Navy I had the pleasure of being on duty in Christchurch, NZ. While there we went to a Maori hangi. A "hangi" is where you dig a pit and line the pit with coals set them on fire and throw the pig in and wait till it's done. Anyway, while we were waiting for the pig to cook we were getting drunk and the Maori's wanted to play some American football. The Maori's kicked our butt and they seemed to enjoy doing it. They are quite physical.
  14. The ladies do their part in tonight's sweep of Iowa (the other by the men) by winning 60-53.
  15. Penn State beats Nebraska 93-73. I guess Penn State was mad that we beat them on their home court and decided to return the favor.
  16. Nebraska wins 75-69. When in crunch time the ladies get it done.
  17. I don't understand the ranking difference between the AP and Coaches Polls. Nebraska is #19 in the AP and is unranked in the Coaches Poll. Penn State is #19 in the Coaches Poll and unranked in the AP Poll. Nebraska beat Penn State on their home court. The Coaches Poll that shows Penn State as #19 was voted after Penn State's loss to Nebraska. Penn State has 3 losses, Nebraska 1.
  18. I have Dish Network and just checked the schedule for Nebraska events. Found that the wrestling match against Ohio State on 07 January 2012 will be televised on the BTN on Monday, 09 January 2012 at 1:00 P.M.
  19. Here is a link for the wrestling team schedule. If you get BTN.com you can watch several matches. If not, Iowa is the only match scheduled to be seen on the BTN. Good luck. http://www.huskers.com/SportSelect.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=100&SPID=28&SPSID=58
  20. 31 points for Hooper. Nebraska wins 71-63.
  21. #23 Nebraska leads #16 Penn State 69-63 with 16 seconds remaining. I wish I could have seen this one.
  22. I know all you Nebraska fans will love having fun with this. Have at it. http://www.bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view/20111219espn_football_analyst_craig_james_runs_for_senate/
