  1. Saw some highlights on the local sports last night. Tommy Armstrong threw a pass completion for 55 yards, then followed it up with a 20 yard zone read untouched for a touchdown. #1 Steele 36, New Braunfels 16. The sportscaster also mentioned that Armstrong was Nebraska bound.
  2. Here is an article on the subject of Raymond's coaching philosophy. Why change what works? My link
  3. I found another site with some different watch sites listed. My link
  4. I know nothing about Kansas City, but here is a link to Husker Watch Sites. There are 2 bars listed in Kansas City, Missouri. Don't know if these are kept up to date or not, but you can probably call them to find out. My link
  5. I called Dish Network yesterday to confirm whether or not, since I live in Texas, if I order the multi-sports package that includes the Big Ten Network, that I will also get the overflow channels on Saturdays. It took me about 20 minutes to confirm, since the girl I spoke to didn't know the answer and had to consult with other employees and ultimately her supervisor to confirm this. The answer is yes, at least here in the San Antonio area. I then subscribed to the multi-sports package and was able to watch the Big Ten Network programming. This morning when I woke up, I scanned all programming for Nebraska events and find that UT Chattanooga vs Nebraska will be on Channel 5444 (ALT 10), at least according to the schedule. I programmed my receiver to record the event and it was accepted to record, which is a good sign. Please forgive me for this post, as I know this subject irritates a lot of people on this board, but I was still unsure as of yesterday whether I would get the overflow channels if I subscribed to the multi-sports package on Dish Network. According to the Fighting Illini site that I was reading regarding the Big Ten Network, it is not a given that you will get the overflow channels if you live in a state outside the Big Ten.
  6. And Dan Bebee will suspend A&M players for plays that he didn't suspend them for last year. Like Jerod-Eddie's groping of Ben Cotton.
  7. There was a news blurb on KSAT 12 Sports here in San Antonio about Texas A&M possibly going to SEC. Nothing in stone yet. Hope it happens. Can't stand the Longwhorns. Not a big fan of A&M either, but I'm sure you understand. My link
  8. SB Nation article on Bubba. My link
  9. ESPN article regarding the "scandal." My link
  10. New volunteer assistant joins staff. My link
  11. Brief articles on six 2011 Nebraska football recruits. My link
  12. One thing that favors Bo Pelini staying at Nebraska is the "family" issue. Based on this article written when Bo was hired as head coach, Mary Pat and the kids may have a say in the matter. His kids are at an age that if I was confronted with the same decision with my kids at the same age, I probably wouldn't move. My link
  13. Home run by Brechtel in the bottom of the 6th ties the score. Still some life left.
  14. Stanford scores run in top of the 5th inning to take 1-0 lead. Ashley Hagemann has pitched all four games this weekend and is doing a whale of a job.
  15. Nebraska wins it 5-0. Play Stanford tomorrow. Need to win two to take this regional.
  16. Nebraska takes a 5-0 lead into the top of the 7th inning.
  17. Nebraska on a roll. As I type this Nebraska has already scored 3 runs in the top of the 4th inning and lead 5-0. Third out just recorded. Going to the bottom of the 4th.
  18. Nebraska scores in top of 3rd inning and leads 2-0 going into the bottom of the inning. Should have scored at least one more according to the announcers. Shortstop had to backhand the ball to the first baseman and both the announcers said the throw was late. Bases were loaded at the time which would have required at least 1 run to score, but alas not this time.
